In the haki page it states that those that have willpower resist the effects and then those with very strong will power are able to completely ignore the effects. So why are you bringing it up?

It states that those with sufficient willpower, not just any bit of willpower, as literally every sentient human has willpower.
You'd have to prove that Hashirama's willpower i potent enough to remain conscious against Roger's Haki.

Tobirama tried to resist it with his chakra saying because of how powerful he is now orochimaro can't hold him. But then he was unable to. Hashirama now explained it was his Hashirama cells power orochimaro was using to bind him so he is too powerful for tobirama. Then orochimaro now said that Hashirama is on a different level and can resist his binging at any time

Haoshoku Haki’s ability is kinda irrelevant to this match ngl (at least the regular kind is.)
Elite Jounin tier Shinobi like Kakashi or Zabuza have been shown that they can inject their aura with bloodlust when preparing to fight to the point of making those who can’t withstand it paralyzed, desire to commit suicide, or make them see illusions of their deaths in Orochimaru’s case. It’s also been shown that Shinobi are unaffected by the bloodlust of others on their level.
And in the case of Hashirama, his own presence when upset by Tobirama was enough to have Orochimaru scared. And shortly after we see that Hashirama can will himself free from the Edo Tensei paralysis bind with little effort.
This isn’t something new, feats of high willpower is a pretty normal thing across most relevant Shinobi.
Jiraiya can force himself to stay conscious while his throat was crushed, he was dying, and had just been stabbed with several of Pain’s paralyzing chakra receivers.
Kakashi can take being tortured mentally for what felt like days to him when Itachi used Tsukuyomi on him.
Obito has had his mind ripped to shreds by the Juubi and willed himself back under control.
It makes sense that these stronger Shinobi would have such strong wills considering chakra’s amount and potency is literally dependent on having a strong mind and body.
And Hashirama has arguably the most powerful chakra in the series pre-Six Paths.
