I look at the "robot girl" for a moment, then look at the sky.
"You know ... I wanted to spend some time with Koharu, if you saw in my diary you noticed that she and my Master look alike ... but sometimes life leads to different paths," I say, sighing.
"A little while ago I said that you are not the kind of person I like ... and it's still true, but maybe ... one day ... it will change", I continue.
"Did you change your appearance and biology to become more human ... for me?"
I turn around to see the door opening. The lady woke up and is yawning as she rubs at her eyes.
"Okay, you're up, now we can begin training."
She looks surprised.
"Wait really, I thought I was going to have to convince you after the way you were acting."
I shrug.
"Eh, I thought about it and realized it's really not that big of a deal."
She puts a hand to the back of her head and giggles.
"Well, okay then. My name is-"
I put a hand up to stop her.
"Your name is Student and I am Sensei. That will be all our names will be until you have progressed further in your training."
She smiles and nods. I then gesture for her to come closer.
"First, you are to run through this obstacle course. Then you will run 10 laps around this clearing before coming over to these dummies. I will then instruct you on how to fight with a spear. Begin!"
Student stretches and then bolts off towards the obstacle course.
Okay, her balance is pretty good.
I think to myself as I see her avoid wooden hammers flying at her from side to side while she walks on a thin slab of wood.
And so is her hand eye coordination.
I note that she's able to use the vines to swing from each post to the other easily.
I grin.
This is more interesting than I thought.
Student finishes the obstacle course and begins running the laps. While she does that, I start editing the obstacle course to make sure it remains a constant surprise and keeps her on her toes. Once she's done, I pass her a wooden spear and pick up one of my own before beginning to spar with her. I point out any rudimentary flaws in her technique, and make sure she's at least above average with a spear.
"No, no, you thrust like this and you parry like that."
"Yes Sensei!"
After we spend some time doing that, I let her have a small water break before sending her back onto the obstacle course.
She's improving at decent rate. I wonder why she's so motivated to become stronger?
"My Master had told me something very important once, a relationship is like creating a spell, it takes a lot of time, attention and work ... and in the end, you only know if the result has succeeded by trying", I say .
"I ... now I don't feel a romantic interest for you, but maybe ... in time, I'll be able to do it ... if you'll make me appreciate your person," I continue, holding my hand out to Rachel.
"We can start as friends ... and see if this will change over time?," I propose.
