Everybody Wants to Die 2: The M E G A Thread

“Alchemy? Interesting, that’s not a field that normally exists in this world, at least, not in a working form. There was a historical field called alchemy, but it was more of a mix between philosophy, religion, and a flawed understanding of chemistry rather than a true field of science.”
“I’d like to ask you more about the subject, but we should be arriving soon.”
As the Sea of Japan becomes visible at the horizon, I continue:
“Just across that sea is the island nation of Japan, where Nil said the goblins were. While evacuating Moscow, I noticed that the people there didn’t seem to have been hurt at all, and had even been moved to places where they would be hidden and protected from the other monsters. The creatures might be less of a threat to this world than we’d thought, especially compared to the leaders of the elemental beings and undead that appeared in Delaware. As such, would you be fine if we tried opening discussion with them first, instead of combat?”

"So we even can't touch him and he has an army how can we protect ourselves if we enter." I say.

@Pheen

Deedee nods, then turns to the cabinet. "Food is good! Bye-bye, humans, I'm going to have food with the nice sword man!"

@Gunner

"Those millions you saved ended up becoming vampire food. The cancer monsters were also something that Nil, who I could talk all day about how little I trust the competency of, easily took care of with allies and some tactics, and didn't need NUCLEAR WARFARE to sove.. The only valid thing that could be said was that nuclear winter counters ozone layer destruction .... Which is then nulified by the fact the Ozone layer got even more damaged by your reckless use of the showstopper, which in turn also obliterated Moscow, and likely all of the inhabitants who survived as well."

@Yobo

"Sure thing!" Natch passes him some ramen.

“Nice. Anyway, I’m sure there’s some favor I can offer you if you lead me to her. Lets just say I owe you one, and you can tell me what you want whenever you figure it out. Deal?”

"Wow..."
Reina takes an interest in the Colonel as the attack passed right through him.

The Colonel stood, looking at them all equally as if measuring their worth. "Goodness, aren't you trigger happy. I suppose this must be your equivalent to a ghoul?" he said scornfully like a teacher as the Slow Motion-inator seemed to pass straight through him, as if he was a hologram.

"I don't believe we've properly met. Do step inside, I hope you don't mind, we've been remodeling." cutting in at what Nil was saying and the Colonel stepped through as his Vampires made way for him and the others, it appeared as though the Vampires and even the ghouls refused to take their eyes away from Nil and co.
"... Eh, I guess. Though, I didn't notice Sam getting here. Hey, Sam, mind repairing my robot?"

Nil points to the Praetorian that's been following him the whole trip here, then looks at his allies and uses non-controlling telepathy.

"I'm sure all of us can feel a very high amount of evil coming off of this guy, but, let's stick with his offer for now. He may hand us the bounty, and with those extra resources, we can do a lot more to help. Just keep your guard up so he doesn't backstab us."

Nil puts away his guns and follows the Major inside.

Cain mentally agrees with Nil, putting away the Vortex Cannon, as much as he hates it.

"I see. Where I come from, it's a specialized form of magic that relies more on conventional intelligence than innate talent in magic, as it requires significant knowledge on the nature of matter and energy. Such things weren't especially complex in my world, but the added complexity I find here seems to grant me many more opportunities than existed before."

Once a landmass comes into view, Dr. Hope continues, and I respond in kind.

"I noticed in their first appearance that they weren't simple marauders, but every single one of them is a walking ecological disaster. Their numbers multiply thousand-fold or even more every few minutes, and even if this process can be halted there's bound to be some stragglers who never "shut off" their reproduction and proceed to exponentially out-compete and out-breed every organism on this planet. Those beings are certainly a threat, but they don't represent the total collapse of this planet's ecological diversity and general existence. Additionally, I don't have high standards for the trustworthiness of non-humans, although that's likely just due them generally being a load of bastards where I come from. Regardless, I'll follow any attempts at diplomacy if you believe it will work."

@Zephy and others

"Sooo even at the closest airport no one speaks english." Zett arrived to join the rest of the team.

"Who is she?" he says looking at the goblin woman.

"And are we getting ramen?"

@Yobo

"You've got a deal." Natch turns to Zett and Mummin. "UH, these friends of yours?"

@Overlord

"Well, I'd say it's most fitting to let the country you nuked have their way with your fate. What do you think, Coolguy?"

Riena sticks close behind the Colonel, still interested in how he can avoid a ranged attack in the way he did.

"Yeah. But, on top of that... As a member of the McChads he's freely disgraced, I'm going to ship over some ideas."

Coolguy creates a notebook and pen in his hand, writes something down for a bit, cleanly rips out the page, puts it in an envelop, then hands it to Ichika.

"I suppose that works. I'll create a place to eat outside."

Iyl would then head out of the building, and create a table and set of chairs in an open space outside. He'd then create various different sweets, as that's what he figured this person would like.

"Nil do you want me to see if I can use one of Gunner McBullet's devices to upgrade it." I say starting repairs.

"... I mean, I can throw you some of the metal he dropped, but, otherwise, I think it's fine as is."

Nil unloads a ton of metal, diamonds, and other crafting material he got from Gunner.

@Pheen

"Thanks!" She sits down in one of the chairs, swinging her legs. within each of said legs is the power to kick over a skyscraper.

@DMUA

Ichika smiles. "Perfect."

She snaps her fingers, and Gunner, now powerless, is transported back to his body. HIs damaged, burnt body... but at least he's healed enough to be recognizable.

Dura... in his feminine disguise just... stares at Gunner''s corpse, not noticing it breathing, jusst glad that Gunner is dead... or what he thought.

Cain incapacitates Gunner's would-be corpse with a tiger claw, not knowing that Gunner is somehow still alive.

Deedee actively munches it down, as if she has an endless black hole in her stomach.

"We're helping!" She says. "And sometimes conquering. But mostly helping!"

“Caw” this Caw is a sad Caw. The saddest Caw this bird has Cawed in a long while. He really wanted that ramen.

“yeah, they just kind of tagged along when they were sent with me, I dong know much about the,. They’re probably fine though.”

"R-right..." She nods, beginning to lead the three to the diet building. When they get there, they see a long-haired man eating outside with a small goblin girl. "Oh, there's the boss now."

I continue fixing the robot and make blueprints for a Copy and Paste-Inator, Platyp-inator, Double-inator, Duplicate-inator 2.

As we cross the sea, I create small platforms out of fat cells, their low density and high surface area allowing me to use them to run across the water.
“Thank you. From what I could understand of them, the goblins created by those spores were different from the ones that originally came through the portal. They seemed like they had the cells of multiple different goblins mashed into one, as though different parts of their body were competing organisms. As a result, they didn’t seem to function at the same capacity as the others. I’m certain that they have a different means of reproduction which they typically use. It’s also unlikely that they have any members with a genetic deficiency that makes them unable to turn it off, as that would have quickly become the majority phenotype in the species were it the case.”
