Everybody Wants to Die 2: The M E G A Thread

“Well, I guess we’ll get to confirm things soon, since up ahead is Japan’s capital, Tokyo.”
@Zeph
We’re arriving at Tokyo.

@Blah/hl3

Perhaps to your surprise, there doesn't seem to have been many signs of battle... or almost any at all, really.

@Yobo

"Aw, alright... she might get mad at me, though..."

@Phoenix

"I am somewhat hesitant to believe that was all there was to it, given your men were armed."

"So, what else are you doing?"

"What else am I doing?" She seems to have a short attention span in terms of only answering half your questions. "I am helping the animals run free."

This area is rather barren... maybe the takeover here wasn't really opposed?

"Strange. There aren't any signs of goblin habitation."

Xander walks to Deedee

”So, i was told to come and talk to you about all the conquest. Just what are you doing with all these guns and weapons?”

“Named Xander. But yes, I’m just someone curious about just how bad this invasion is. Is it dangerous For human life here?”

"Letting the animals run free seems like it would be. I hope she'll elaborate more. Otherwise I'll have to make another magic circle to view the situation. Name's Iyl."

"Nope! No danger. Animals get to be free in nature while humans get to be in cities." She then frowns. "But a bad human blew up a human city..."

“That’s terrible. What about people who live in farms though?”
I’ll need to ask about this “bad human” later

No signs of a struggle, and the air isn’t filled with spores like it was in other areas we’ve seen them.

“I guess they’ll be further within the city then, unless they’ve changed location.”

A voice pops up in Dedee’s (she was the last one to talk right?)

“Tell then who the bad human is, they could handle it.”

"The latter seems likely with what I've seen of their habits, but I've been proven wrong in this category before."

I simply float further inland towards the city.

“Well, let’s head in to check for now.”
@Zeph
I head to and take one of the foot paths into the city. (assuming nothing’s blocking our way)

@Hl3 and Blah

As the two of you continue further, you spot more goblins... but none of them appear to be doing anything hostile. There's an air of tension in the air, but no combat, or even any signs of it.

@Pheen and Yobo

Deedee looks right at the raven. "Talking birdie..." she says, her attention completely focused on that. this is the leader of the goblin army?

I take a quick look around to see if there are many spores around, if not, I look closely at the goblins to see what’s changed from the other groups.

@Yobo

"Don't cry! I was getting to that! But talking birdie distracted me!" Deedee seems flustered. "Farms... We will ask them to let their animals go!"

@Blah and hl3

No spores around, strangely enough. It's like they aren't in wartime... although, you do see quite a few goblins wandering around, it's strange. Despite still having battle gear on, they're acting almost like civilians.

...

I'm not entirely sure how to react to this new knowledge, as it makes many of my previous actions against these creatures rather pointless... bah, I'll just keep looking further. There's got to be some ulterior motive hidden down there.

"Hmm, how about this?" Iyl wondered out loud.

"Tell me everything you know about the goblins' presence on Earth and I'll make you the biggest, most delicious sweets you've ever seen. How about it?"

“I guess we don’t need to worry about their population boom outside of wartimes. I wonder how they tell, maybe it’s something like an adrenaline response? But even the ones that weren’t in danger or were happily looting were producing spores before…” I mutter. After I’ve thought it over for a bit, I say, “well, Nil said their leader was staying at the imperial palace in the center of the city, which is…” I double check my map, “this way!”

"Of course we'll replace it!" She complains, then looks at Iyl with a serious expression. "...What kind of sweets?"

@the PhD Squad

The two doctors arrive at the outside of the diet building, where they can see a long-haired man, a knight, a bird, and someone else (don't remember what zett looked like lol) at an outside table with a goblin girl. Though, this goblin has horns.

... this one is different. Maybe it's the local leader like the horned one from Moscow? It seems to have goblin traits like the other leader, despite not being one.

I simply watch the goblin's interaction with the others, noticeably on-guard.
