DEATH BATTLE Fight Previews S6:E8 - Shazam Thunders into DEATH BATTLE!

The "Original Captain Marvel" shows off his shocking magic powers for this upcoming DEATH BATTLE!

https://roosterteeth.com/episode/de...ws-season-6-shazam-thunders-into-death-battle

Ya Rooster Teeth episodes are free for 24 hours starting from 10:00 CT 1 April 2019 so... Gotta go fast.

And yeah Shazam does scale to Superman by being able to hurt Superman and taking hits from Superman.

So Shazam ~= Superman > Goku > 18 > Carol should hold.

Death Battle as a whole is a joke at this point
To me, it's more about spectacle than anything else.

Captain Marvel vs Shazam/Captain Marvel should be a decently animated fight if nothing else, even if the matchup is quite boring.

They are more focused to draw audience attention and make a spectacular show than to bring up fresh ideas. However if fresh ideas could bring up good fights (and they actually know it) they would be more than happy to follow it. Just like how they believe the "fight" logo should be removed to make fights more "cinematic scenes" than "game replays".

If they come up with unique matches from obscure series, no one will watch it. They need at least someone recognizable to draw in people
Well bringing one super popular/iconic figure against another super unique character from an obscure series - that actually works in their eyes. (Looks back at Car-ditto)

As such I highly suspect Cyborg (Post-Flashpoint) would fight Noel VermillioÔÇÜ ChiseÔÇÜ Motoko Kusanagi or Alita (Last Order)

Wtf is she?!

Noel has mid-godly regen as said in her profile.

And she has abstract existence. Good luck hacking into THAT.

Cyborg has reactions in picoseconds, that still keeps him at ~3,333,333 c. Still faster than Noel's mere 1.7 c. Just if any of Cyborg's attacks are meaningful at all.

Doesn't Cyborg destroy all of them?
Quite unsurprising Cyborg destroys Alita (Last Order) is it not? Can understand the fact he blitzes her despite not tagging Superman and Wonder Woman. Also his AP scaling to "616 kilo FOE" IMP.

(But why Cyborg does not tag Supes and Diana in speed tho)

And if Cyborg can hack into Brainiac's ship, I believe few can escape from his hacking.

So the DB Cast hit YouTube and the preview of the fight has me concerned with their portrayal of Shazam, same problem with the upcoming movie: they're making him look like a 13-year old with superpowers, not a naive person with the WISDOM OF SOLOMON

Shazam was handled great in the Justice League cartoon from the mid-2000s. Though his screen time was short (1-2 episodes with a focus on him), it showed that he wasn't stupid, he just wasn't experienced with many adult factors of the world.

For example, the overarching plot of that season was Lex Luther running for president and Shazam commented to a news crew how he was glad Luther was turning his life around and built a nice mini-city for the homeless or something (SUPER obvious that it was a ploy to make Superman look bad). Shazam didn't realize that his comment would make the public think that the entire Justice League supported Luther, and Superman was super pissed about it because he was super suspicious of Luther.

This led to Superman and Shazam fighting and destroying the mini-city as collateral in front of everyone, giving the exact result Luther wanted and it was an amazing mini-arc in the show.

So yeah, otherwise, the animation looks pretty good so far

Also, Jason, your answer for Falcon vs Cage wasn't picked, but the one who was echoed some of your points. Didn't know Kintaro could survive a nuke

The coming Community Death Battle is said to be Handsome Jack vs Two-Face.

But for some reason the official Twitter poll has not been out yet.

Hm...future man with energy shields, electric arm guns that can one shot armored troopers, and a robot army on call vs an angry man with a pistol.

HHHHMMMMMMMMMMMM......

Exactly. Although, you have to admit, it's a clever matchup on surface levels. Their characters are pretty similar.

They have a tragedy behind their scarred face tho.

But that is still more spiteful than Tracer vs Scout.

Power scale difference is what Screwattack tries not to consider in the first place when considering matchups.

But what backfires them are their weird research methodology (esp. in Season 1~4), lucky enough their animation skills make up for that.
