I meant the specific matchup. Adam and Blake vs Felix and Locus is something I would've never thought of. That being said, if death battle did this episode, i have no idea how Blake and Adam would even win considering how they scaled RvB everytime they used them with that 10 Megaton Bomb Durability Feat.

The fact that they scaled them to a 10 megaton bomb that nearly killed them from a distance and that they needed a bubble shield to even have a chance of surviving is mind boggling

Alternatively, just scale adam and blake to the nuke tanked in volume 8

Yeah from what I've seen on some other forums it's mostly connections based but people also putting Garnet at star level to solar system level scaling above steven and using stuff like her being able to chill in the core of the sun and withstand a black hole as evidence

Black hole stuff comes from all of the ships in SU using black holes as means of FTL transport and Garnet has damaged multiple ships used by Homeworld as well as being dragged around in space by one of the ships going through planets at FTL speeds

Don't forget that a lot of commissioned matchups can just be something that specific commissioner likes/wants to hear. They're not always representative of a popular community matchup.

I'd love to commission something like Archie Sonic vs Simon the Digger or Marisa Kirisame vs Sonic one day, not because either are a good, thematic, close, or popular matchup, but because I love the characters and think they'd blend together well and have an awesome ******* musical score. This person probably just thought the same thing here. This matchup isn't one I care about or have ever seen requested but the commissioner probably personally liked it.

Ehhh, UltronSigma had MvCI helping it. Sentai suggestions have been too recent, frankly it maybe possible but only at S12 if we are realistic. Simon Kyle got popular but its been taking 2 years for that, Gohan vs that Sentai guy is like few months or so.

The core theme is literally anime protagonists with black hair, and the ‘connections’ boil down to “they meet a bunch of different characters who are like kinda similar if you squint”.

They typically require compositing Paper Mario with Mainline and combining their cosmologies to even get to that point at all, a lot of contradictory or circular scaling and just a lot of crazy stretches to even get the franchise to that level. It's generally a lot less confusion on Sonic's end for his debate even if there are minor quibbles you could have.
