I for one find it kind of concerning that Spiderman vs Ladybug is popular enough to have been suggested in the first place and that the team likes it.
Now I'm not the biggest Miraculous fan by any stretch of the word, but to anyone who is a fan of the series what does Ladybug offer for Spiderman outside of being heroes who wear red and are themed after bugs? But I'm not a MU expert so I doubt I could come up with something better
 
ProTip: if have to feel like using a lesser version of the character for a MU to make it fair that quite telling on how bad of stomp it is 🥴

Thats like Restricting Sonic to Adventure era or restricting Superman to the earliest days of his runs to make it fair where the idea itself goes against The characters at there peak of power
 
You know I'm pretty even limiting it to Teen Gohan would be kind of overkill wouldn't it? Because correct me here if I'm wrong, but Invincible doesn't solidly reach into tier 5 territory at the end of the comic and Gohan peaks at Solar System Level at the end of the Cell Saga which would make Gohan unquantifably stronger then Invincible.
Of course DB's potential solution would be to do some crossover scaling but I doubt Invincible's got anything that special

they discussed Rayquaza vs Bahamut a bit, and the chat recommended FF6 Bahamut, Swan said they could probably composite all of FF1-6 Bahamut.

Re: Bill vs Discord: Highly requested fight for a long time. Swan and Chad loves Gravity Falls. Animation style: Sprites/Hand-Drawn. Ben was never going to use MLP again, but he keeps seeing this MU so he's willing to do it.
Re: SCP 682 vs Doomsday: The crew don't know what SCP is, Swan does. After explaining what it is, Ben and Chad question what could be used for canon, doesn't know if they could pull it off. Ben says he will look into SCP, has many questions.
Re: Gru vs Megamind: Ben doesn't know why people thought this was going to be a fight this season, Chad and Ben thought it was a just joke fight, didn't think much of it. 3D fight for sure. Swan wants to reference "right-wing boomer Minion memes" in the fight. They have plenty of jokes/references they want to do for this fight.

Re: Fall Guys vs Among Us: They think it's rather dumb, but knows it would probably do well in views. Chad wants to be bring in a streamer/youtuber(Chaos something) They are open for the idea. Somebody made a fan-made animation, the chat and crew enjoyed it. A lot of positive reaction to the MU.
Re: Gohan vs Supergirl/Invincible. They seem more interested in Invincible, though they know its a huge stomp. Ben asked if Teen Gohan vs Invincible makes sense and most of the chat said yes. Ultraman was brought up, but nothing came of it

Re: Sailor Moon. They said that Toei specifically blocked the entire SM portion of Beerus vs Galaxia. But They aren't scared of using SM again though, talked about SM match-ups. (Madoka, Power Girl). They were interested in doing Sailor Moon vs Goku (Pre-Super), but after GvsS1 fall out, they were dissuaded since they concluded SM could defeat Pre-Super Goku and they didn't want to piss off people. They added that Goku beats Sailor Moon now.

Yeah, Bibleman's whole schtick is that he'll pray about LITERALLY ANYTHING. When he's not praying, he's reciting Bible verses. I'm not exactly sure HOW it would play into the fight, especially since Larryboy is ALSO a Christian (Bibleman only fought villains whose views directly opposed the beliefs of the bible), but I figured it's worth mentioning.

Not that it matters, given Larryboy most likely stomps...

Maxwell vs Rudy's track is on the way. DJ said that he really liked Maxwell vs Sackboy in the fireside, which is another Maxwell matchup I'd be cool with.

Just because we got Wukong vs Heracles doesn't mean that other episodes were unexpected or had new franchises, our finale is ******* Gogeta vs Vegito
If we ignore Wukong vs Heracles, Trunks vs Silver and Spongebob vs Aquaman, none of the other episodes were that surprising
 
I wonder if Vegito vs Gogeta might still qualify as "popular match that people didnt think about". Tho it being more of a casual thing hurts it being truly popular.
 
Just putting it out there that DB never said that unexpected and unpredictable was the theme of the season.

All they said was that they were experimenting with new franchises, which they did, and the bigger heroes bigger villains thing, which they did.
