Great.

While the Goku week will end in Ren Amamiya vs Giorno Giovanna as announced by Brandom Yates himself,

Let us have a meal on how Gioker actually tastes on VS Universe

So the Goku week may not even fill in 5 songs of Goku. And two songs are of one same matchup.
1. Goku vs Sonic
2. Goku Black vs Shem-Ra part 1
3. Goku Black vs Shem-Ra part 2
4. ?

5. Ren Amamiya vs Giorno Giovanna

So much for a Goku week.

Death Battle: Sacrificing beloved childhood heroes to Lord Warner Brothers since 2013.
What is worse?
Currently the only 2 forces able to stop Warner/DC are Disney/Marvel and Tencent/Epic.

Hold it. Rex Salazar is also owned by Warner?

... Hold it. Both Infamous and Prototype have their respective DC Comics too?!

Great.

Wait, does Goku Black VS Shem-Ra have two parts?

Death Battle itself is associated with Warner Brothers, so it is no strange that riggedtanna wins against Wanda.

Right, it is more disgusting. By the way, I have heard that Tencent holds the copyright of some xianxia novels (Tencent has highly controversial relationship with Chinese "Internet novels" series but Tencent may treat the writers well if we exclude the websites banned in China), so...

See. Nice choice. Just...

Good luck with either verse becoming more known to the audience.
Well, Way of the Househusband got a slight bit of online popularity from a lot of its panels/volumes going viral and it was topical for a while. I remember there being pretty decent outrage over an issue people had with the anime adaption. Sakamoto Days is also doing decently well for itself, maintaining alright readership. It just doesn't have an anime adaption to really give it the boost it needs.

Neither are MASSIVELY popular but I wouldn't consider them complete literal whos or anything.

Out of curiosity, how far would being the strongest version of someone or strongest in a series carry a character for the chance of being in Death Battle
Well, depends on the situation regarding the character itself is, and how popular that verse is generally.

If the strongest character or thing in the verse is some random **** all God entity than its chances of appearing in a DB are near 0, there's almost never anything to work with in terms of an actual battle. Like we're never gonna have a The One Above All fight for instance.

However if the strongest character in the verse is a main character, than they've probably got one of the highest chances of appearing on the show.

If you're talking specifically about a specific incarnation of a character who happens to be the most powerful version, then that's a spotty situation. We've had character's like that on the show before, Archie Sonic is the most powerful version of Sonic within the wider Sonic franchise and he got in, same for Wally West being the strongest Flash, but Sonic and DC are also pretty massive franchises.

However, we haven't had Paper Mario on the show yet even though he's regarded as the most powerful version of Mario typically. Marvel Godzilla is typically seen as the most powerful version, yet he's not on the show either. It just depends on:

A. Is that character/verse popular?
B. Does that character have a matchup?
C. Are there other characters within the verse itself that would be better to make a MU with.

I hope that covers all bases for your question lol.

I was just wondering cause I got some MUs on the mind
Looking at the requirements the matchups stops at
A. Is that character/verse popular?
Let's be honest here, SMT is overshadowed by Persona

TFW this is actually surprisingly thematic

Unironically would watch
Cute and cuddly little creatures who are generally kindhearted and gentle in daily life but the second they are placed in a potential combat scenario a mental switch gets flipped in their brain and they become lethally efficient killing machines. They also use very similar combat tactics, for the most part unconventional weapons rather than guns, are capable of setting up elaborate traps in seconds mid-combat, and are masters of stealth to the point of being able to turn physically invisible if they want to.

Wait, does Goku Black VS Shem-Ha have two parts?
Technically you could see it as the Goku Black VS Shem-Ha matchup having two commissioned music works. As two commissioners place each an order on the same matchup.

Death Battle itself is associated with Warner Brothers, so it is no strange that riggedtanna wins against Wanda.
Harrigged Quinn still dies to Rigx buy everyone is too joyous in celebrating the first blood on DC by a hand not Marvel.

Does Mega Man (Star Force) and/or Max Steel (Reboot) defeat Rex Salazar? (Assuming Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes) (Post-Crisis) is just as tough as pre-Waverider Booster Gold.)

Yeah, it's kinda a meme at this point that SMT fans angrily shake their fists at the sky cursing Persona
Also that Persona fans claiming that their verse is the strongest - without knowing that their strength comes largely from Shin Megami Tensei scaling.

I'd take a mid tier L for DC but like, there is no such thing. You are either Batman or you can beat Goku in DC :VVV
I'll be honest, outside of a joke, I couldn't care less about DC winning or not. I think it's an incredibly fascinating and diverse franchise with tons of potential for Death Battle, and I frankly think it's unfair there's such a stigma towards using it. Sure, every high-tier character is incomprehensibly strong as a result of writers having a decades long dick-measuring contest, but I just find that amusing.

That being said, **** off Batman.

I think you kind of described the issue most people have here. When you know ahead of time a character is just absurd (frequently to contradictory degrees) and it's put up against a significantly less absurd verse, you already know the result. People are just tired of the same verse destroying every other it comes into contact with.

It also doesn't help that on DB a lot of DC stuff blends together in terms of research and scaling chains.

I would obliterate Lex vs Doom and Iron Man vs Batman from orbit if it meant we got literally anything other than two lame episodes between 4 returning Marvel/DC combatants.
But those 2 are very important episodes.

We got 2 DC Ls and 4 loss streak :^)

Also joking aside, they were better eps than worst of S7 comics fights as well. If we wanted to question eps, its Batgirl vs Spider-Gwen thats probably the worst as of late.

Apparently the team buys Snake beating Batman
Again, thats just Batman, the low tier.

Also, getting 8 Bats fights is too much. Since Bats was officially helper in Terry's ep, technically he has been in 5 eps and frankly I'm just expecting vs Moon Knight & Avengers vs JL to happen. Bats is guaranteed 7 fights at this rate, so for that alone I'd almost not want Bats vs Snake.

Is it just me or do I get the feeling they don't wanna do Galactus Vs Unicron
Oh no, they do want that. But ever since RT **** ups they probably decided to **** it and wait for S10. I'm giving them benefit of doubt.

Moon Knight should fight anyone else and Bats should have at least one fight against not Marvel if he's gonna have so many IMO.

Well yes, but this is the show that did Batgirl vs Spider-Gwen.

We are very likely getting Bats vs Moon Knight, at best they'd do both that and Bats vs Snake.

Tho wouldnt Captain America vs Snake be technically better MU than Bats vs Snake? Maybe they'll do that.
