Cool set of replies but I feel like it gives Eggman too much credit. It says he's gonna hurt him mentally but like, does he? Eggman took over the world and imprisoned Sonic for six months and couldn't as much as dampen the dudes' mood. What exactly is he gonna do other than call Bowser a stinky head lol. "Oh shit that was a duplicate? Guess I'll have to kill you twice."

Not a sonic historian but I'd be surprised to see Eggman repairing Metal Sonic mid-fight. How much of Metal Sonic would Bowser even leave behind lol.

Regarding Bowser's bad temper, Eggman has that too. To the point where some of Eggman's defining traits is his temper. The idea that he's this cool-and-collected dude is out of this world kek

He's also fairly overconfident and pretty impatient too--remember when he nearly destroyed the world by waking up Dark Gaia because he didn't bother to think about what would happen if he woke her up early? He's also noted in official sonic descriptions to be super childish.

Eggman's obviously smarter and fairly cunning but in a lot of ways he's just as stupid as Bowser. An argument for him winning's gotta cite real arguments and not vague "well he's a monster heehee" stuff.

Gonna point something out that I found interesting, every single reward tier for the kickstarter is connected to someone who has lost a death battle. The only tier that doesn't apply to this is TTGL because of the fact that it hasn't appeared yet.

So regarding the song.

There's a section where the music feels like it's repeating the same tune over and over, until the song changes for the climax. That definitely feels in line with requiem using RTZ or even the death loop... and the muted moment afterwards could be Joker within the death loop finding the willpower to break out, which leads to whatever the climax does.

From a purely narrative standpoint, I'm leaning towards Joker winning from the song.

With Fall Guys vs Among Us being a Champion's Poll matchup, I don't think it would fit as a matchup that they didn't originally want but changed their mind on due to fan support. Also I'd assume that pre-Kickstarter launch they chose whichever 4 matchups would've given them the most amount of hype and let's be real, Fall Guys vs Among Us is not on that level.

Sonic is just HIM. He just never gives up or loses hope, however Eggman did destroy the mood and hopes of Tails and several other characters. In the Metal Virus arc Eggman basically destroyed everyone's hopes as well, even Sonic's.

Metal Sonic can heal and self-repair himself in his Neo and Overlord forms (Shadow Gens even makes this self-evident).

That was part of the plan. Dark Gaia destroying the world was part of the plan. The miscalculation is that he didn't expect Dark Gaia to be so weak he couldn't even hold himself, but then he had an idea how to solve it (which worked).

Always liked Joker as a character and for his story, never wanted him to become the new VS Matchup measuring stick. Granted I don't think he'll get that way for a wide audience, but what can ya do?
