Bayonetta Discussion Thread

Where is it ever stated that Loptr is using atomization? There's no indication that he's using hax of any kind, he just blows them up and oneshots via vastly superior AP

I’m not too sure, from what Kamiya said Bayonetta herself chooses for her blood to look like Roses. As in she uses her magic to make her blood into roses when she bleeds, since she likes how the roses look. I think it’s natural, but it might be active

I mean the same would kinda apply to Bayonetta, Loptrs Ap > Hers. Also when Bayonetta used a demon to defeat Gomorrah, it didn’t disappear into a bunch of particles like her demons did vs Aesir. So I’m pretty sure it’s a form of hax involved

The AP difference between them isn't to the point that Loptr oneshots Bayo though? Loptr's Ap > Bayo = Balder >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> High level demons.

Bayo summoned Labolas to bite Gomorrah with its giant teeth and incap it, not to strike it with an energy blast millions of times above its AP
 
You're gonna need more evidence to prove Loptr used atomic deconstruction in those blasts. Besides it probably wouldn't even be an upgrade for her regen and likely rather just resistance to deconstruction since regen would require that we physically see her be deconstructed then regenerate.
 
doesn’t seem like an AP gap to me, because when Balder destroys Bayonettas demons with energy blasts they aren’t turned to atoms like that. And the AP difference there is just as large, so it seems to be more than just an explosion
 
When has balder ever hit Bayo's demons with an energy blast? He's only ever thrown hands with 3 of them:

  1. Gammorah: neck snap
  2. Scolependra: forcefield explosion
  3. Labolas: stab to the head with glaive
 
Regardless, the aftereffects of both attacks are pretty awfully similar. Both end in a cloud of redish black particles. The only difference we can clearly see is that pieces of hair from bayo covering Scolependra fly away after Balder's explosion.

Hard disagree, I've seen both clips and they look awfully similar. Either way, Balder killing demons with a slightly different aesthetic aftereffect still doesn't provide enough evidence to prove that Loptr is using deconstruction instead of just blasting them into into total oblivion with his unfathomably superior AP.

-Lunar Empowerment: UW get stronger in the presence of moonlight.
-Killing Empowerment: Bayo gets stronger with every angel she kills.

[Resistances:]
-Ice Resistance: Gravitas can produce ice that lasts several eons.
"A Dominion in the Second Sphere of angels. The name Gravitas means stern and severe, so this angel is often depicted as steep, uninhabited mountains forever frozen in ice.

-Higher-Dimensional Awareness: Spotted & evaded a Glamor while in the human/physical world, saving Enzo in the process. According to the lore, this shouldn't be possible even for Witches or Sages. She can also interact with & casually overpower other Seraphim-Class Angels.
"Glamor, as a First Sphere Seraph, rests at the highest rank in the angelic hierarchy. Seraphim are the closest beings to God in existence and cannot be seen by humans in the physical world under any circumstances."

-Holy Manipulation: Takemikazuchi & Chernabog are still divine weapons.

-Transmutation: The Umbra use alchemy to create the lollipops etc.
Umbra Witches seem to be well versed in herbology and are able to concoct items that are able to heal them, increase their strength and magic power, etc.

While well versed in the supernatural and metaphysical arts, they were also keen in the arts of alchemy, chemistry, acrobatics, firearms training, medicine, anatomical health, and (what could be assumed) various sciences and technological prowess of many sorts, to temper and refine their body and soul in the process of handling the powerful forms of magic that they would come to wield.

-She can interact with &/or kill metaphysical beings. All 1st-Sphere Angels are spiritual beings or beyond.

Going off of the crossovers page this is a onesided crossover so all her crossover weapons could only be scaled to feats or statements within her own games and not stuff from the Zelda/Metroid/Mario series.

Where does it say that ? From what I just read she meets all the requirements, I’m not really sure what the first bullet point means though.
 
At least one variant of the Master Sword would have to share the same writer of a Bayo game in order to scale cross-verse.
 
Okay I’ll look then, I’d assume they’d have a writer since well.. it was all created and published by Nintendo anyway
 
Thankfully since they’re in the same sphere meaning they’re relative, the chain shouldn’t be difficult at all to make. Though we should probably go about upgrading the weaker angels too. Since some of them are supposed to be relative to Bayonetta.

I’d probably upgrade the first / second spheres to planetary +
 
Slightly off topic but kamiya himself asked Nintendo devs if he could use their characters as costumes and if they minded Bayonetta summoning Bowser as a demon to fight angels and they were all fine with it so I don’t see why they wouldn’t scale.
 
The Master Sword has it’s own wicked weave, the shield functions similarly to the Moon of Mahaa-Kalhaa even without the accessory equipped, and like the other Nintendo costumes, they have lore and all come from the same source; the Super Mirror 2 which can be unlocked in story mode.

That's normal crossover procedure to ask permission. Asking permission is not the same as literally having the same writer.
 
Bayonetta-(Equipment Hax)

:





•Equipment:



-Umbra Watch: Grants limitless vitality and eternal youth. It also makes resurrection possible and keeps the body in stable condition for 24 hours after death.

-Red Jewel: A red gem implanted in Bayonetta’s watch. It can reverse/undo brainwashing and mind control strong enough to last centuries and effect powerful beings.



-Hand Guns: Pairs of average human pistols. They’re typically useless on their own but Bayonetta can empower them enough to be deadly enough to kill beings that are unkillable by mortal means.

•When charged with magic, they’re strong enough to kill First Sphere Angels in a single shot, but will break after mid-term use.







-Scarborough Fair: A set of 4 red magic pistols strong enough to handle Bayo’s magic & wicked weaves.

•Standard shots can hurt & kill spiritual beings and are strong enough to blast through walls of steel &/or concrete that are several feet thick.

•Can kill Second Sphere Angels like Inspired in one shot.

•Can charge her bullets with more magic to increase their damage.

•Size Manipulation: Bullets can grow in size. Charged shots can grow to the size of footballs. Can be the size of anti-aircraft munitions when riding on missiles.

•Can Fire volleys of magic bolts like Joy & Jeanne.

•Can fire projectile wicked weave punches as missiles from long range.

•Bayonetta can write her name in bullets, hit enemies several kilometers behind her without even looking, notice enemy weak-spots at a glance & hit them accurately.







-Onyx Roses: A pair of sawn off shotguns with the souls of demonic fairies sealed within.

•Effective against armored enemies.

•Fires curses instead of bullets.







-Shuraba: A demonic katana with a powerful demonic deity sealed within it.

•Blood Manipulation: Absorbs blood & souls.

•Can summon spectral "Wicked Blades", massive spectral blades that mimic the motions of the attack that summons it.

•Charged attacks result in Iajutsu techniques that can be charged in 3 stages.

•Space Manipulation: Capable of space cutting-(a stage-3 charged slash cuts through space.)

•Can project massive energy slashes and even larger & more powerful energy beams.







-Kulshedra: A whip containing the ancient snake demon, Kulshedra.

•The whip is a living snake demon.

•Size Manipulation: Can grow to great lengths and sizes. Bayonetta’s hand can grow to the size of an Affinities’ torso.

•Natural Disaster Inducement: Kulshedra is an ancient Albanian (water, storm, fire and chthonic) snake demon capable of spit fire, cause drought, storms, flooding, earthquakes and other natural disasters against mankind. In southern beliefs, she is described as an enormous female serpent who surrounds the world. According to this version, if she were ever to touch her tail with her mouth, she could destroy the whole world.







-Odette: A pair of demonic blue ice skates that have the ability to freeze enemies whilst attacking.

•Can incase enemies in large glaciers.

•Increases movement speed.

•Can casually launch high-speed flurries of kicks, vastly increases the speed & striking power of kick attacks.

•Produces ice cold enough to freeze lava.

•Ice Immunity: Provides Bayonetta with Immunity to natural, holy, & demonic ice.







-Durga: A of black gauntlets and greave-like weapons that use the elements of fire and lightning. The weapons contain the soul of Durga, said to be a demon with a thousand arms.

•Hellfire & Hell-Lightning Manipulation: Has the ability to switch between two elemental states: slow but powerful fire claws, and nimbly weak electric claws. Can burn & electrocute souls.

•Explosion Manipulation: Fire Mode creates floating skull-like mines that will explode in a shockwave of flames after a short delay or if an enemy comes near this does heavy physical and spiritual damage.

•Combat Empowerment: The more hits Bayo lands in fire mode, the stronger the mines become. <The size, range, and damage of the mine left will increase depending on when the mine is charged, with the first attack in a combo leaving behind the smallest and weakest mine and the third or greater attack in a combo leaving the largest and most powerful mine.>

•Electric Field Manipulation: Lightning Mode can generate a large sphere of concentrated demonic electrical energy. The range of this attack is deceptively far despite its graphical appearance and the demonic electricity does both physical and spiritual damage.

•Fire Immunity: Grants Immunity to Holy, Demonic, & Natural fire.

•Lightning Immunity: Grants Immunity to Holy, Demonic, & Natural Lightning.







-Lt. Col. Kilgore: A set of rocket launchers that can be equipped on the arms or legs, and are swung like tonfas. They possess the soul of the Vietnam War madman Lt. Col. Kilgore.

•Explosion Manipulation: They can fire explosive shells with incredible magic power.

•Capable of rapid fire.

•Can launch wicked weaves like rockets.

•Bayonetta can use them to propel herself towards the targeted enemy, colliding with them a few times.



-Bazillions: A set of four futuristic laser guns that are slightly more powerful than Scarborough Fair.

•BFR: “These strange, miraculous guns have the power to open a portal to another dimension.”

•Barrier Negation: Can bypass & destroy barriers regardless of strength from applauds to Father Balder.

•Matter Manipulation: The guns instantly break down the molecular bonds within its target.





-Pillowtalk: A sword with a green demonic energy beam for a blade.

•Holy Negation: Very effective against divine beings. <“Pillow Talk has incredible angel killing power thanks to Rodin's conjuring abilities.”>

•Dream Manipulation: The sword is a vessel for the demonic being Mahavalrocana, (An Incubus) said to have seduced women by whispering sweet nothings during their dreams.

•Status Amp: Can be charged in 3 stages with each stage increasing the sword’s power and length. The 3rd stage/“Fully Charged Mode” makes the sword as strong as Rodin.



-Sai-Fung: A pair of gun-chucks possessing the soul of the fastest bird demon in Inferno.

•Godspeed Amp: Grants speeds faster than the gods can react to.

•Trajectory Manipulation: Can control bullets fired. All bullets ricochet 6 times. Charged shots will launch a volley of bullets, which will proceed to ricochet around the area. The longer the weapon is charged, the more bullets that will be shot.

•Durability Negation: Bayonetta can throw Sai Fung at her target, where it will spin inside of them as it fires off a few shots.



-Rodin=I: Four golden halo-like rings that are simultaneously equipped to the wrists and ankles. They’re a Holy weapon that will transform into the various angelic weapons. This version houses Rodin’s angelic power from when he once ruled a portion of Paradiso.







-Love is Blue: 4 blue magic pistols.

•Similar level of power to SF.

•LiB are more durable via Rodin statement.

•Durability Negation Resistance: Can casually stop the Valiantium Blade which can cut through anything.

•Can fire multiple rounds in a heart-shaped formation in an instant.



-Rakshasa: A pair of 4 Indian curved swords absorbed the demon god Rakshasa and were cleansed with Soma.

•Soma is an elixir from Hindu myth that grants immortality.

•Life energy flows from Rakshasa’s chakras within the blades to the user.



-Alruna: Arm & leg whips made from the soul of Alraune.

•The vines are alive & can slither and attack independently.

•Madness Manipulation: All who hear the whips go insane.

•Lust Manipulation: Alraune’s poison turned the damned into her “lovers”.

•Poison Manipulation: Can inject poison into the soul.



-Kafka: A cursed bow that fires poisonous insects.

•The arrows curve and arch.

•Capable of rapid-fire, shooting a great number of arrows in a quick barrage, anywhere from eighteen to fifty-four.

•Poison Manipulation: Capable of soul poisoning.

•Damage Empowerment/Venomous Curse: The more an enemy is shot, the longer the poison lasts.

•Death & Disease Manipulation: Fires Carnage demons as Wicked Weaves. Carnage are large in size, composed of poison and bacteria, & can take away the lives of thousands. <“Carnage is a type of poisonous larva that nests in a bow-shaped magic guide "Kafka" or "Samsa". Pulling a string of force and releasing it vigorously, it jumps at high speed instead of an arrow and as soon as it leaves the bow which is eaten by the target body, it dies quickly, but its body is composed of various kinds of poison and bacteria It is said that it is covered with shells and can take away the lives of thousands of people even in a short period of time.”>



-Chernabog: A triple-bladed scythe that’s also a gun.

•Holy Manipulation: The divine weapon of the deity Chernabog returned to it’s former glory.

•Darkness & Soul Manipulation: “Those cut by its three giant, creeping blades have their wounds infected by darkness and their souls rot to the bottom of Inferno.”

•The blades can spin like a saw or be shot out all at once.



-Takemikazuchi: A hammer made from the sword of a Shinto deity.

•Holy Manipulation: The Futsuno-Mitama used by the Shinto god, Takemikazuchi. Despite being remade into a hammer it still holds divine power.

•Can break any defense. Takemikazuchi is slow to swing but is able to break through the defenses of most enemies that Bayonetta comes across in a single strike, even enemies such as the shield-wielding Accolade, larger and more powerful mini-boss enemies, and bosses themselves.

•Lightning Empowerment & Manipulation: Can be enhanced with lightning. Remains in an empowered state after charged attacks.

•Weather Manipulation: The weapon of a storm deity, the weapon can manipulate thunder and clouds.

•Earthquake Manipulation: Can cause earthquakes with its strikes.



-Undine: Twin launchers that double as clubs.

•Launch streams of fire &/or ice.

•The fires all enemies regardless of size or strength. The flames can harm Gravitas-(who can produce eon-lasting cold) & Fairness-(Who’s body is covered in the flames of the sun.)

•The ice is so strong it can hold the likes of Loptr & Balder for extensive periods of time. It’s so hard that even Bayonetta can barely break it.



-Salamandra: 2 Pairs of arm-strapped chainsaws made from demonic dragon scales.

•Can rend metallic flesh like paper.

•Invulnerability Negation: Negates skin-based invulnerability.

•Attack Amplification: Brightens on contact. Bright/charged attacks do heavier damage.



-Chain Chomp: A weaponized Chain-Chomp from the world of Mario.

•An intelligent weapon that attacks any that get too close to Bayo.

•Highly explosive.

•Can duplicate itself.



-Rodin=2: Can form every angelic & demonic weapon from Bayonetta 2.



-Master Sword: The Blade of the Hero of Hyrule from the Zelda series.

•Can banish evil entities.

•Grants the Triforce of Courage.

•Effective against monsters.



-Umbra Armor: A heavy duty, vehicular type of transport designed by the Umbra Witches to be used only in their most desperate of battles.

•Strong enough to match & overpower First-Sphere Angels and Cardinal Virtues.
