So Elminster, Drizzt and Mordenkaine are labled as MHS+, but there's an extremly large issue with that. Their speed comes from this Apocalypse from the Sky calc, but there's no reason they should scale to it. It's impossible for them or anyone to actually avoid the attack once its triggered...
Specifically, the fact that almost the entirety of everyone from any D&D setting scales from this calc in questio
For a TL;DR, a user stipulates that a 9th level spell which has a casting time of one entire uninterrupted day of casting which drains the caster of 3d6 Constitution (note: an...
Vecna vs Bill Cipher
Speed is equalized
The fight takes place in a neutral multiverse
SBA for the rest
Contestant for weakest 2-A:
The reining champ for weakest 2-A: 3
First off, with that level of regen they should certainly have Type 3 immortality.
Secondly, I don't think the reasoning is legit. From what I see, the reality mentioned there is just the one of the game, which certainly wouldn't be a Low 1-C one, as the Luminous Being is Low 1-C from...
I've always assumed it would go in terms of 3 or so (Based on the levels of the Tarrasque and Adult Dragons).
e.g.
9-C: Levels 1-3
9-B: Levels 4-6
9-A: Levels 7-9
And so on, but what do you guys think?
At the moment, the Tarrasque's AP is considered to be Town Level because it is "Comparable to the breath attack of a Dragon" which was calced at that level. However, this is simply not true. The breath attack in question was a 20d6 attack, while the Tarrasque's bite is only 4d8+17. Which while...
Ok so I'll have to lay down a few things before I can start with what I would like to share the actual changes...
So First thing I need to do is put down a line of reasoning on why I think a Monster's CR rating should be used for scaling... At least to the DnD PCs at least
on the official...
Now... I don't know too much about D&D but since the game itself has some form of a rating system for how tough a monster is to defeat couldn't we take the power of a creature we know like The Krake and use scaling to say monsters with equal or greater CR should be just as strong?
But, since...
Why Ao is High 2-A for being vastly superior to 2-As? That just warrant a "at least 2-A".
Also Asgorath is "at least 2-A, likely far higher" because he is comparable to the Lady of Pain who is 2-A
Battle of people who started as mortals and there magical prowess allowed them to rise to become threats to the entire multiverse. Speed equalized. Both at 2-A
And the Scrolls have foretold, of black wings in the cold,
That when brothers wage war come unfurled!
Alduin, Bane of Kings, ancient shadow unbound,
With a hunger to swallow the world!
Battle of fantasy RPG final bosses. Speed equalized.
The doctor is dropped off into D&D without his TARDIS and must kill Orcus. Can The Doctor be one artificer Orcus won't forget?
Edit: the doctor has a month of prep time.
Based off my blog here.
tl;dr
Ao: High 2-A (Superior to Gruumsh and other Greater Deities)
Speed: Immeasurable (exists beyond the concept of time, existed before the construction of the Multiverse)
The Lady of Pain: At Least 2-A, likely higher (Superior to Vecna by an unknown degree, has...
