    hi, i am trying to calculate one bullet catch feat and i am stuck somewhere can you help?

    The character does not start running as soon as the gun fires, but after a short while, he starts running.

    The elapsed time is not given, but during this time, there is a short conversation between the character and his friend.

    How long should I assume this elapsed time?

    Blech, there's some weird stuff in fiction about time spent talking not counting. It seems like it's meant to in this case, but it's unclear exactly how long.

    I'd do 3 seconds for a high-end (based on me reciting those lines to myself), and "the bullet is just off-screen" as a low-end.

    That doesn't sound like it establishes a different system of cause and effect, but idk the Acausality standards very well.

    I don't remember anything about God existing in Keter. From what I remember, God exists outside of the universe, and pours his Divine Light through the Tree of Life (including Keter), to sustain existence.

    I also don't remember anything about Keter being bigger than infinite timelines. Yetzirah, Briah, and Atziluth are all higher worlds, but they're simply more real/fundamental, not physically larger, and not containing multitudes of timelines.

    Given the similarity of Unsong's ending to an earlier short story of Scott's, Answer to Job, I wouldn't be surprised if God's vast garden of universes was intended to only have a finite number of timelines.

    I asked people if that qualities for Acausality type 5 and one of them said "that's half the requirements for type 5" and another said that does sound like possibly Acausality type 5.

    I meant to say he exists in Atziluth.
    And infinites i was referring to are from set theory mentioned in the verse. Which are accepted on his profile.

    Since you have evaluated recent Tokyo Revengers calcs I want to consult you about this recently approved calc, specifically the KE part as it give a result of 11.26 Megajoules despite the complete lack of damage to the impacted superficie (neither the manga nor the anime show any destruction at all to begin with), so I believe it isn't a valid result that could be used considering the wiki policies about KE and visuals (which I detailed in length in the comments).

    Which come from this section of the Kinetic Energy page:
    • There is a destruction/AP calculation contradicting a kinetic energy calculation. The destruction/AP calculation would take priority over the kinetic energy calculation in this case as the AP calculation would be a better proof in regards to how much damage he/she is capable of in an attack.
      • For example, if a character launches a 200kg metal ball against a common wall at Mach 300, but the wall remains largely undamaged, the energy required to cause the minor damage on the wall would take priority over the kinetic energy derived from speed in this case.

    Problem be, in this case there is literally zero destruction so even if wanted it isn't possible to make a destruction calculation.

    The argument used by the creater of the calc to justificate the lack of visual damage is this:
    Mikey lifts Taiju by the head and slams it to the ground with his kick. That's a localized damage area the size of Taiju's head; you can't expect anything more than ground fractures hidden by the rug underneath his head this is not an explosion.

    No craters considering this isn't an explosion, also you can't expect the mangaka to draw fractures on the ground under a red carpet. He has drawn cracks for weaker characters in their younger days, so there is a reason why there won't be cracks on a carpet. The AOE fallacy does apply, especially when you are comparing a head to the size of a damn elephant. Yes that's 11.26 Megajoules on a couple of centimeters. The best that can be done given the circumstances is a massive bang.

    Which seems ridiculously because as I showed the calculated energy is x90 times the energy of an elephant tackle and x4 times the absolute high end of a cannonball, so the damage caused should be quite noticeable instead of have zero visual representation.

    I just wake up too damn early, but here are my thoughts regarding topic bans should extend to sandboxes or blog posts.

    They should when they are complete and utter warranted.

    Also whatever it should been by default or not, I will think it typically varied as not all of us will use the sandboxs or you know actually know how to use it. Still that is not the case most of the time. Blog Posts are the other hand, if they still doing it in the verse they are topic banned from, then it completely still fairplay to assume the topic ban is in effect for that stuff.


    Regardless though, I also do think it is absolutely warranted in the case we have for Vapor over here.

    Hey hey,

    i have a CGT that was made for me discussing which calc should be used. It’s about a meteor’s KE and each calc uses a different speed. My calc used a calculated initial speed and then got the final speed of the meteor as it accelerates due to gravity. Clover’s calc on the other hand only uses ablation speed of 3km/s. Also to find the mass I proposed a higher height the meteor descended with logical reasoning against an assumed mesosphere height of 85 km. This height affects the size and then the mass of the meteor.

    So may I have your input to discuss which calc is more reliable and the adjustments that could be made!

It seems to just be agreeing with other people (mainly DT), with the one point of dissent being combinations of things other users have presented (Ultima's acceptance of vague "beyond the concept of dimensions" statements, my interpretation of qualifying statements as being 1-A).

    It also adds a suggestion to close the thread, which ig is new, but I don't think there'd be much productive done by saying it. You'll say that, then Ant or I (or both of us) will say "Lets wait to see what DT thinks just in case".

    If you think I'm missing stuff, feel free to ask other staff for permission (although it'd probably be best to link my reasons for not giving permission), or just send it to staff members whose minds you want to change on those topics in general, such as DT and Ultima. Simply to inform them, in lieu of posting it in the thread.

    I should have formulated it better. The post wasn't about bringing up new points, it was to directly answer the OP's queries. The OP had the wrong impression about two things, one being the creation of the new sub-tier Low 1-A would somehow change the ratings of the verses that are currently rated 1-A.
    But they won't be affected because as discussed in the Tiering System revision discussions (you can check the link, it is intended for reference and to show where it was discussed and accepted) they are defaulted to 1-A because of the assumption that they transcend real coordinate space due to scaling through some in-verse explanation. I only meant to show him what the standards are and why is it accepted.
    I also gave my own interpretations of the scenarios he stated and explained why I believe scenario 5 is the only one that may scale to 1-A while the others don't have enough context.
    The other thing he misunderstood was DT's explanations and comments regarding the need to transcend an infinite hierarchy to achieve Low 1-A or 1-A, which isn't the case as u corrected him yourself.

    DT and Ultima are essentially discussing about changing standards and justifications for rating characters that are above notions of sizes and hierarchies in different ways. That is completely unrelated to what the OP is, which is to downgrade all the current 1-A verses to Low 1-A due to the OP's misunderstandings as I explained above. I feel I have sufficiently answered the OP's queries with the already accepted standards rather than waiting for Ultima and DT to make up new standards.

    For discussion of new standards preferably a new thread should be made with the OP discussing each person's qualms about the standards. So, I believe concluding and closing the current thread, whose original questions have already been answered and its purpose fulfilled is for the better, although we can still wait for a response from DT, since it is merely a suggestion for closure.

    If you think I'm missing stuff, feel free to ask other staff for permission (although it'd probably be best to link my reasons for not giving permission), or just send it to staff members whose minds you want to change on those topics in general, such as DT and Ultima. Simply to inform them, in lieu of posting it in the thread.

    Yeah it's just we don't tend to allow non-staff posts in threads if they're not bringing up something new. If you think you can bring up a similar point in a way that's more likely to convince the OP, you can send it to them directly.

    The current thread has already gotten 98% of the way to implementing the new standards, so I think finishing it there is the best idea.

    Ello! Been reading the anos thread and it kinda made me question some things about a verse I'm indexing, so I just gotta ask some simple questions if you don't mind:

    If a character applies the very concept of death, causing them to instantly die, and another character resists it, I assume we just list it as "Resistance to Conceptual Manipulation and Death Manipulation", and only assume he resists conceptual death manip, nothing else, right?

    Another thing is that I'm confused about, is if having normal resistance to death manip is enough to resist the conceptual part of the character above.

    I'm not exactly sure what our general standard on writing it for profiles is. Either that or just listing "Resistance to Death Manipulation" may be fine.

    If it's resistance to death manip that is, for some reason, established to be general to all ways of applying it, yeah.

    Like, I know a series where vampires can regenerate from "death" being instantiated on them, and I'd expect that to work on concept-based death manip.

    ...Although that specific case would depend on the type of concept manip. Since type 1 is unaffected by the physical world, we wouldn't expect physical changes like "regenerated from it" to reflect the concept, and so it'd automatically apply again, probably incapping them.

    They shouldn't be able to move not in the sense of their body being paralyzed but in the sense of being restrained or a better description is being locked in place, not being free .
    As described, it's the concept and law of restraint and stagnation. When it was used on lightning being conducted through chains, the lightning stopped in place unnaturally and not as a result of manipulating the lightning. It's a river suddenly stops flowing while still being there.

    That still seems like it can be explained in other ways, i.e. Body Control, Electricity Manip, Water Manip.

    Note that Electricity Manip does not need to be granted by literally manipulating lightning; it's given for most feats involving doing stuff with lightning.

    And he kind of is harassing them as well, he spams the same message begging them to help him out and tells them to shut up when they talk about something else.
