I'm the Zoro guy and the only person with enough common sense to tell me about this thread was Kachon. Now it's at 8 pages, probably full of dumb shit where certain Nard and OP fans are just having a dick measuring contest instead of actually debating.

Haki nulling both doesn't mean they're both layered

Haki can be layered against itself without be layered to other powers.

GJ affects mind and souls, we don't give GJ 7 layers of soul manip just because its mind manip is 7 layers
 
Also the fact that anyone is genuinely arguing that Sasuke is a better swordsman than Zoro is smoking some good ass meth. Sasuke is more tactical, but his arsenal isn't just swordsmanship. He's probably better than Zoro at hand to hand, but saying Sasuke, who rarely ever showcases actual skill with the blade and that's gotten his shit rocked by other swordmen 24/7 is more skilled than the dude who's been training with them since he was a kid, reaching the very zenith of swordsmanship and trained by the best swordsman is ******* stupid.


Like honestly some of you take this shit so seriously to the point where you can't even admit someone has an advantage over your character due to a sense of pride. Sasuke is the smarter fighter in most cases, but in no way shape or form does he compare to Zoro's swordsmanship. One uses a sword as a simple tool, the other one uses a sword as an extension of his own body. It's that ******* simple.

No one claims that Sasuke is better than Zoro in using swords, they just say that the claim that Zoro is a better swordsman than Sasuke is nonsense. You say that Zoro has been using a sword since he was a child, but what you skip is that Sasuke also used a sword from his youth until he was in his 30s.

Zoro was outskilling swordsmen as a child and has beaten fishmen swordsmen, the first being Hachi, who wields 6 swords at once without his own blades and having less than 2 liters of blood. Then, he outskilled Hyozoru, an 8 armed swordsman who considered Hachi pathetic. Both of them have instinctive arms due to their physiology, and reached the very zenith of swordsmanship when he achieved the Mighty Blade. Sasuke has never achieved anything close to this, and is nowhere close to being a better swordsman than Zoro, let alone being near his level

One has reached the pinnacle of swordsmanship. One relies soley on swordsmanship, one relies mainly on chakra and the abilities to come from it.


Sasuke is not a swordsman first and foremost. I'm not saying that Sasuke is a bad swordsman, nor am i saying Sasuke would be skill stomped automatically (Most characters can't outright skill stomp without wanking or using chinaman bullshit.) It's as I said, Zoro has much more impressive feats and that's due to the difference between what they represent. Sasuke is a ninja that knows how to use a sword, swordsmanship was never meant to be Sasuke's bread and butter, his hand to hand combat is already better than his own swordsmanship, and has the IQ to make it work. Zoro on the other hand, doesn't rely on powers (barring Haki.) because ALL he HAS is his sportsmanship.


Think of it like a MMA fight, it's all about the basis of the fighter. It's like comparing someone who's major MA is BBJ, but they dable in Muay Thai, against someone who has great experience in Muay thai and lesser experience in BBJ. They're both skilled, but one has a clear advantage due to having one class they specialize in.
