That’s the tricky part: We don’t actually know.
There’s two ways Death Battle can interpret Prime’s continuity-busting: They can go the “OP” route and claim that Prime’s punches are just so broken, that it completely renders all durability irrelevant when he’s able to literally alter the plot
Or
They go the “Erm, akschually ☝
” route and address the sheer technicality of it all by stating that, though he’s able to shatter reality and continuity by punching, Prime doesn’t actually do this all the time, even when he’s actively trying to kill someone mercilessly (see Earth-2 Clark Kent, Hal Jordan, Sodam Yat, Conner Kent, etc.) to make the point that his plot manipulation is seldomly used at best, and unconscious at worst; but either way, it’s not as reliable as you may think.That’s really the only thing holding this battle back from being a total shitstomp in Prime’s favor because Sentry’s actually got a pretty decent chance at taking out Prime; his infinitendrils exploit Prime’s weaknesses and bypass both conventional and unconventional durability/defenses, his base form is already comparable to Thor’s level of power (super forms notwithstanding), and he’s virtually unkillable by conventional means which would be pretty challenging to figure out if you’re a teenager like Prime is.

I'm not caught up on my DC, but are those examples not from his time in Infinite Crisis? I feel he's probably grown in that time, as of late especially post Darkest Knight. Ok, I just finished watching this.
Someone please explain to me how the hell does Denji's durability scale to literally being sliced in half? Like they didn't even need to show off how shit their scaling is to argue Denji wins, literally just say he's faster and has more AP. I would say this is a new low in Death Battle scaling, but the Sun Disk is 10x worse.
And then the misconception of Yuji's abilities........the shoddy justification for the poisonous blood not working, manually needing to activate a sure-hit effect in his domain, just holy larp jesus christ.
The animation itself was actually really good, I loved Denji's rig and his 2 forms, Yuji's domain and shrine were really nice. Overall, the episode is a 7/10, with it losing points because you can tell from the analysis before the battle starts that it sounds more like an iffy justification that Denji is going to win before the battle even starts, rather than an analysis of both characters individually and then explaining why he wins afterwards. I do unfortunately have to agree that my goat Yuji loses, just a much better explanation was needed.

The necessary disclaimer here is that he couldn’t actively change the plot even unconsciously until fairly recently, which is when Geoff Johns finally made it canon in Secret Origin (so 2021). Before that retcon it was a commonly spread misconception that he could change reality in various unintended ways by just punching hard enough, even though this was a misreading of Prime’s breaking out of the Paradise Dimension in Infinite Crisis causing the timeline to get messy due to plot contrivance.That’s the tricky part: We don’t actually know.

Also, funny thing about the infinitendrils; the Void’s modus operandi of trapping you into a psychic mind-meld of your greatest fears and worst memories is literally what Prime is going through right now in Action Comics with Manchester Black, but that storyline isn’t going to be completed until after the episode comes out.

AFO vs Manga Giovanni would be cool. Would be interesting to see how DB scales pokemon, especially the manga.
GMK Goji vs Yoru kinda sucks ngl. Like I get the through line and all but I don't think the matchup really meshes well. Yoru is a corny ass saturday morning villain who is mentally a child, throwing a character who can't even react to her stupidity feels like a missed opertunity.

Yes, but in the latest Superman issues, we get Prime laying waste to literal demons from Hell and beating the snot out of Absolute Sun Boy from Darkseid’s Omega Legion and there’s no continuity-busting there. You could argue that he’s learned to control it, but it makes no sense how he’s capable of doing all that but choosing not to use it during major events like the King Omega Tournament and put a stop to it.

On Paper Prime winning makes more sense
He has more solid scaling into Outer than Sentry does even with the Void ,Best showing was Matching "The Bat who sucks dick" while sentry got folded by Knull and Recton Punch is an easy game set n match finisher
However Sentry Regen I could see DB see pull a SpawnRider in that he may win on that pulling a W for him if Prime can't perma kill him
Logically Prime should win but DB could pull some fuckery
