This matchup confussed the hell out of me earlier today but now I realized it meant the Clone Wars characterization of Maul not the movie version who is basically mute.

Also another thing I found weird about bowsegg is they acted like transmutation was a huge wincon when bowser dosent really use it over something like "punch really hard". And iirc didnt the chaos emeralds cure the metal virus from silver and sonic when they went super

It's hilarious how Cell gets so bored he starts doing random shit in filler stuff, destroying asteroids and just killing people that are in traffic

Is still something on his arsenal that he can make use of tho. He often "I have to hit him, really hard" but he not above not using It. He does is others games.
Since Death Battle made them go full power without restriction, giving shit that is non-standard, transmutation is not off the tabble.
It wouldn't be usefull for the whole Army. It have a time limit, and when It goes out, Bowser or Kamek can just transmutate them again.

its not a matter of if he has it. Would he reliably use it out of any of his options when he dosent know it would work. Also when sonic and silver transformed back after being cured of the virus the virus was no longer on them. This also assumes the beams are not dodged, or kamek dosent use it again after it failed.
Also i dont see why bowser junior was helpful in the least. His paintbrush was made by egad so i dont see why sage wouldnt just technology diff.

Like, Metal's copy ability is busted and Cell has no answer to it, however, MetalOverlord was beaten physically by SuperSonic and SemiPerfectDoomShadow, MasterOverlord depowers after losing MasterEmerald, SuperNeo was countered by base cast ability and SuperSonic also beat him up anyways. If Cell is anywhere near Metal's stats, he could just overpower him. If you think "but Sonic is 6D" then you dont know what DB will realistically buy. I geniuenly think Cell has a shot based on how DB operates atm.

Too bad the rest of the episode was pretty mid because of their wack ass decision to treat the episode like it was written back during early Death Battle.

Bowser Transmutation is also not thaaat out-character, the Wonder Flower is all about that.

TBF fighting Super Sonic is a good feat, alongside that was an amped future Shadow fighting a past Overlord.
Super Neo was countered by something Cell doesn't have, and yet again, battling Super Sonic is a good feat.
Death Battle definitely doesn't believe in 6D Sonic, but they wouldn't need to go that far to beat Cell anyway.
The only way I see them saying Cell wins is saying Cell is 1505x Uni (going by how big they think the DB universe is), and saying that it's bigger than the Sonic universe and just outpowers Metal.

And youre basically trying to prove a negative, death battle always takes people in character mostly.

Honestly, since DBZ characters can master techniques just by looking at them, and Cell learned IT which took Goku 180 days, I do think Cell technically could learn Chaos Spear.

They being In-character and using all their moveset is not mutually exclusive. Like, the entire premisse of this fight is using Non-standard equipament and abilities. The Dream Stone and Time Eater being one of them.
And again, Bowser has made use of transmutation in games multiple times, is not out character for him to use.

Only thing I have to add to this is that it was really ****** up of Bowser to use his magic to transmute a race of sentient eggs into apples so he could eat them, like bro even chased them to a different country what was his problem?
