Death vs sakuya been tossed around but being real that one ain't generating interest outside the community
FF 16 been out of the limelight for awhile and Dante losing to a Who def didn't help
same with Blade losing to Buffy kinda hindered the view count

Guys, I just realised, by DB's standards, Nero ironically would have been a better opponent for Clive, because he is the Potential Man of DMC. He too grew in power extremely fast in the narrative in a similar manner to Simon or Clive(according to DB) himself.

From my limited knowledge on Yu-Gi-Oh, Atem is to Yugi kinda like how Zarathos is to Ghost Rider, and such gets included.

And by DB's own reasoning Dante had a notable speed edge (11X FTL vs 3X FTL) and was stronger since he stomps his universal opponents several times over while Clive struggled heavily against his at his peak with humanity's willpower behind him. Never mind their conclusion being based on selective use of gameplay mechanics and headcanon, or one of Dante's primary weapons having Absolute Zero as an instant wincon.
But yeah, uninspiring matchup, bad and even self-contradictory research, wrong outcome, signs of the outcome being predetermined and the research being twisted to fit that outcome, just standard stuff really.

Nero vs Hellboy would have likely been better, although it'd almost be interesting to see how they'd find a way to give DMC the loss that time.

Dante did his god killing shit like 20 years ago and even at the time they were so fodder Dante deadass forgot their names. Combined with the DT multipliers and whatnot there's a strong case for Dante taking stats.
I have no idea why G1 didn't argue that.

No, the stamina theory they used is a 20-year old headcanon thought up to explain the regeneration not stopping the characters being downed, an honestly very common trope.

Well true, theres a nuanced difference in what is actually coping and what is valid criticism.
But I dunno, arguments arent Sun Disk levels of bad for me. But Im not a real DMC scaler so I kinda dont count.
