I thought the same way when Kyle's preview already had him at 12.3-D in power and without even getting into White Lantern or Life Equation shenanigans, yet looked at what happened ultimately.
There's no point in judging on who's going to win based off previews of all things when they're just snippets of the research involvedand not to mention that we all know Maka's going to win, there's no ifs or buts

Out of curiosity, knowing that people outside of the vs wiki and by extension DB as a whole believe Ultima isn’t the strongest, what is the version of Godzilla everyone hypes up being the most powerful before the Ultima novels gave the massive buffs?

Off topic but how high of a demand does Digimon have in terms of coming back to death battle? I know Yu has the fight with Takumi but what other matchups does the series have that isn't tied to Pokemon?

This is not a call, a personal attack, I am not weighing in on the current fight because I'm not an expert in either and also I don't like the toxicity of everyone's fighting with you but:
No feats - Yeah actually, that's true...But its also a preview, that's not weird, that happens a lot. Probably one of the things people try to infer information from and get wrong all the time. No feats being mentioned in a preview says nothing of the final episode, both in highballing or low balling.
Confirms Maka is a poor fighter reliant on Soul - No they didn't...They made a big deal that Maka's intelligent AND skilled, the focus was on the fact that she was a prodigy, but her fighting style is 'guiding' Soul's movements, they did not portray that as 'relying'. Her comparison to Black Star was 'She's good, but he was better', which seems to be setting up them talking about rivalries and their growth as characters in the full preview, especially since they used it as a transition to talk about Maka and Soul improving. They...did NOT imply she is a poor fighter at all.
Confirms the severance of Resonance weakens her - Did they? ...Kinda??? They moreso talked about how their teamwork and resonance made them stronger together, rather than 'weaker without'...I feel like this one's right, but only on a technicality, and I'm not sure it really proves anything yet, especially given we don't have full breakdowns for them apart AND together and what that really means in Death Battle's eyes.

Again...I've hated how this chat has been for the last week or so, none of this is me attempting to get personal with petty insults or anything, but it feels like you've massively misrepresented the preview to say things it didn't, especially things that weren't even said at all. I have no input on the debate because I'm not nearly familiar enough with both franchises, but if this is how you debate and present a preview I could watch back in just a few minutes, it really calls into question your integrity presenting the information across the entirety of two franchises without misrepresenting what was said and shown. Its hard to look back on your fighting with everyone and trust your point of view now that, comparing what I just watched in a few minute preview, your summary of it is REALLY off the mark in my eyes...

I'd also like to point out that this is the fourth time we've had a character from RWBY, so there's not nearly as much explanation or setup needed like with someone whose series last had an episode 5 years ago and is vastly different than the last character that was shown.

And I can guarantee most of those folks have never read the comic.
It was a fun episode but it pretty much killed any other same verse MU from appearing on DB for the foreseeable future.

Like, the biggest one I can think of is ... MAYBE Red vs Ash, and even then Ash likely isn't coming back on for a while after his fight with Yugi.

Only same verse MU's I can think of are battle royales between a team or of several incarnations of the same character.

The only same verse MU I can think of that DB would try to do is a Link Battle Royale given that's a hotly debated topic on which Link's the strongest.
