Weekly ngl but you just make a fool of yourself with all this and also if SE was faulty in its scaling as you say, how come nobody stepped in to rectify that, the fact only you are the sole person going about it


Also insisting on this agenda you hate the series, yet push this narrative Ruby wins and Maka is fodder makes it really hard to believe, how come this never came up in the past with other MUs had from rwby and just now it does, these things just dont add up at all and it clearly doesn help you in your case either

Plus, and with all due respect and condolences to Monty and his loved ones, Monty's been dead for ten years as of this year in 2025. It sounds a bit cold hearted to say, I apologize, but I don't think the dead are going to be concerned whether or not their creations lose on a show pitting fictional characters against each other.

And it's like you just said: Monty himself wouldn't have minded Ruby losing in DB, so I don't see why Monty being friends with DB is going to affect DB's ability to be objective and reasonable.

Because Maka is the exception to the scaling issue. People like BlackStar and Kid do solidly scale to the high tier stuff, its just Maka who doesnt.
 
@ZeNoviceArtist going off the replies to the post, it seems they were talking about Rule 34 posts both RWBY and SE has to compare which is uhh.... definitely a random thing to use when they're both teenagers.

@Emirp sumitpo It gets even funnier when Ragnarok's DLC Valhalla literally has blatant statements about older game feats that people insist only exists in deleted websites or only on twitter.

And the speed explanations for some of the characters is kinda questionable? Like, Cell upscaling for Kid Goku dodging light is not wrong (The person din't put a source on that tho) but there's way batter feats for MFTL of DBZ, not sure he picked Kid Goku.

And Zygard immesurable speed logic is also ????

I don't know if that was directed entirely at me being the one to respond, but regardless it was a general observation. We've had a lot of massive upsets, ones people disagreed with on release, were controversial for a long time, or didn't age as well as people came back to them.

And characters have been reinterpreted over time on the show itself, Hulk went through quite the character Arc alone.

The intensity some people get thinking thry have DB's next move figured out might just be a little misplaced...sometimes they pitch you a curveball, and a curveball you might not even agree with. Their standards sure as hell haven't always lined up with me, and I'm trying to do better about my own expectations, personally.

This is just in general, my thoughts on Maka Vs Ruby? ...Only watched Soul Eater, no manga, never seen RWBY, I got no call here.

Man, I hope so. The soundtrack was one of the things that made me fall in love with the series. That and the unique art style.

I hope the battle track we get has a great piano accompaniment since both both series have had great songs using it and also it's just Soul's whole schtick. Can't be too hard to ask for a track that has rocking guitars, piano and a female vocalist. right?

Y'know something I've remembered from way back that I kind of wish they'd do is not announce both fighters at the same time. Unless I'm Mandela Effecting myself here, I think DB used to just announce one character for the next time, then announce their opponent like a week later.

Honestly I feel like it might be hype to announce a character, then we have the week of 'who are they fighting' anticipation until their sneak peek, then they announce their opponent after that.

Now granted I can immediately see a negative of this with people thinking of hoping for their own interpretations for their preferred opponent would be, hoping for a week, and then being disappointed when it's revealed it's not the one they want. At least the current system people can get their disappointment out immediately :V
