You know I know all the memes and slander on Twitter is all for good fun and just having some light bantering, but the Godzilla fanboy in me feels like the big G deserves some respect all things considering.
I mean not only are he and Hulk essentially locked in as being the strongest characters to appear in Death Battle history thus far, but his true form is so essentially so unkillable and untouchable that Bruce Banner's ability to solve the incalculable equation associated with the Entity was how the Hulk was able to net the W. Those are things are to be respected, and it's a testimony to how Hulk required an incredibly specific advantage to win in the end.

To clarify because i didnt earlier (even though ive done so twice on this thread), Maka DOES get scaling to the high-tier feats, but its only through non-standard equipment (Spirit, Lord Death's Death Scythe) or outside help (Chain Resonance, which requires her team to be fighting alongside her against the same opponent). She would not get either of these in a DB under normal circumstances.

I have no real attachments to either character in the next MU, so if somehow Ruby gets an upset win I will laugh.
Though I feel Ruby should lose if only to make it an even 2-2 for Team RWBY in DB.

Having the 200 episode Ruby VS Maka NOT be animated by Torrian is genuine blasphemy of the highest degree. What is the point of the matchup if the famous death battle animator inspired by Monty doesn’t have a hand in it?

So with the new battle and how they interpreted Hilk and the Green Door got me curious, how would this affect matchups like Hulk vs Superman or (hopefully one day) Avengers vs Justice League, like do they have a way to even put Hulk down?

Not exactly a comics expert, but from the way they worded it, doesn't sound like it's completely impossible to get past it if you have a good enough cosmology/range, or just erase him on a conceptual level or something, not sure about the latter tho

Ignoring any Weekly replies, I saw elsewhere that Ruby's Aura could be classified as soul based, which Maka can nullify, potentially making this biggest stomp of this year.

Its bit mean, but RWBY, Killer Instinct & RedVsBlue are verses that have relatively too many MUs when factoring that they are niche. ...and also ignoring capeshit spam

I really dont want more RWBY MUs, hell arguably only RubyMaka is only RWBY MU that shouldve happened, but it does seem Cinder is mentioned a lot and Yang getting a 2nd MU too.

Thats...thats what it is yes. Her Aura is a manifestation of her soul. Problem is she wouldnt be able to nullify it as the only ability she has that can do that is Soul Adagio, which doesnt work on opponents more powerful than her (See the Giriko fight for reference), and Ruby can just turn her soul back on with an Aura restorative.
Theres also the argument for RWBY characters in general having soul resistance due to multiple instances of no-name huntsmen surviving having their souls drained by Grimm.
Also, Ruby's aura being nullified doesnt really do much to her other than remove her forcefield and semblance. She'd still be the same stats and have her weapon.
