I recently saw the new episode.
I was surprised, but glad, for the one that I wanted to win was indeed the one that won.
Also I also agree that the matchup announced to be next seems like a curious, unintuitive & perhaps even unnecessary choice. I am both baffled & uninvested in it.

Tbf Kenshiro world uses things from china, all knows how op chinese things are, like tom n jerry being one and msny others, like the pressure points stuff is taken from acupuncture and you mix martial arts with each character being insane masters of it and having their own various powers, hokuto no ken focuses more on skill and abilities rather then physicals overall
MHA is basically using stuff from american comics for superheroes as basis, which while they also have insane stuff over the years, its clear they dont go to absurd stuff like a 80s fighting series about deadly arts for combat

The only MCU version of a character that I even see be talked about in matchups is Infinity Ultron. Which kind of makes sense when you realize that the most popular DB matchups with version specific characters tend to be versions that are uniquely powerful.
No offense to Fleetway Sonic fans but the average viewer is gonna be way more invested in the more powerful Archie Sonic. Or Archie Silver. Or Archie Knuckles of they ever use him.

Only MCU versions I kinda want are Infinity Ultron vs HA Dio and Bayverse Bee vs MCU Spidey.

I mean both Miles and Deku are youthful goat(s) characters that are widely liked from the superhero genre that both embody the essence of heroism and what it means to bare the hero emblem. There's a lot of appeal to be had here, Spider-Man vs Deku has strong potential to outdo both of there predecessor episodes. And it's not a kickstarter episode that quite literally no one saw coming which makes me pleasantly surprised, the track for this being a commemoration for both Spider-Man and MHA could go hard.
Things that make me worried there gonna just rehash the same tried and true formula scaling for Izuku that they did in Shigaraki's episode less than a few months ago (which was all old stuff from Deku vs Asta ft.) which...yeah, and no new anime footage from the last final season or BTSV also feels kind of a bummer. All this being said I'm still pleasantly glad and looking forward to this one, hoping the fights gonna be 3D with stylised renders resembling spider-verse rendering and fluidity.
