DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Simon didn't use ARC Lagan and Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann and Kyle didn't use Ion. If they used those the fight could fit the full length of Will of the Drill and pace better.
I think it's the early part of the fight that throws it off, for me. I'd have to watch it again to be sure, though.

Me and my group chat audibly yelled “Hitler Dead” when the KO screen appeared.

As prob the biggest Wile VS Tom fan in this thread, I'm still extremely hyped for it, but I get why peeps don't talk about it since Wile and Tom ain't insanely relevant.

Also, betting on everything I own that Wile VS Tom is gonna be the next time for Simon VS Kyle. I know I've been betting on it for like the last 3 eps but:
Is it good to have this mindset? : r/BasketballTips
I have good news

lmao one of the constellations in the background is the boot that Hal killed Ben with, can't quite make out the other constellations but one of them looks like Columbo?

You know what I find funny about Simon vs Kyle is that it retroactively confirms that if Ben vs Hal had won the rematch poll, it would've most likely been a shit stomp in Hal's favor just by using the stats and hax they gave to GL Kyle.

Congratulations, Death Battle community: you saved Ben from a 0-2 loss record.

Oh, that's a point, actually:

Does anyone else here think that DBa more or less described Simon as Boundless? I saw people here earlier saying that the cast didn't really care about putting characters at 1-A all that much, and yet the implication seemed to be far above even that for Simon specifically.
From what i've heard some researchers don't really see any difference between outer and high outer. All the same, which, personally I don't even mind. They probably just saw Simon's power increase as faster

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

12.3 Dimensions, I wonder how that’ll work with the Tiering system lol

Unless fraction dimensions have already been addressed
I remember we used to have Low 1-C cosmic beings in Marvel (Before they got giga buffed to 1-A) via scaling to 6.2985923 dimensions, can't remember how we treated that if they were put up against someone who was 6 dimensions.

Again, we're talking Tier 0 here. I'm aware there's a distinction between 1-A and High 1-A, but Simon here seemed to be described as if he were above that.

Probably a good thing in all honesty. People STILL talk about Ben vs Hal in a pretty negative light and many, especially more casual fans, think that Ben should've beat Hal because of Alien-X.

So if Hal vs Ben had won the rematch poll and Hal stomped Ben due to way greater stats and stuff like that, it'd likely make that negativity even more potent.

Oh yeah the way they described GLs in this episode blows even max wank Alien X (26-D) out of the water in both stats and hax, Ben should fight someone else

They were pretty much in a vague space between high hyperversal(beyond spatial dimensions) and high outerversal(beyond metanarrative a.k.a fiction). They don't really seem to buy other tiers in between that like layers or stuff like Low 1-A 1-A+.
I'd wager any character between High 1-B and High 1-A might just be treated the same by them.

It depends how high they would scale alien x too, cuz the series has an alien species called naljians, whom perceive 26D along something ultimate form of azmuth gray matter form talked about in regards to DT

No limit fallacy, if a character was shown resisting fire and never was hurt by it, then it can take fire from multiversal being too, thats NLF
Yeah I've heard of the fallacy, I've just never heard of it referred to as NLF

I'm not good with acronyms is all

I want it because I want to see Ben 10 fans suffer. Get the rematch so he can get washed.

I definitely disagree with the outcome and the verdict seemed NLF-y to me and I didn't really like how they explained it, but the episode itself was good. Definitely upper tier of the kickstarter episodes. Maybe Top 3 or 2
It seems more like Reactive Evolution than NLF. Several characters on this wiki can do that. Yeah, their explanations are generally too narrative focused imo.

it was mostly the way Ben was defeated...man, it was just wrong.
