I legitimately love Simon way more than Kyle (he’s no John Stewart)… but going so far out of their way to “debunk” DC’s cosmology and then casually letting Simon slide into R>F Outerversal based on some random Drama CD that I don’t even think ever got officially translated into English feels… kinda biased.

Also not even allowing ONE pity win for Kyle when they gave one to ****** Master Chief who had basically no win cons that mattered despite this being “51/49” is hilarious. Like damn give Kyle fans a break goddamn.

It's funny as hell cause you would think it be a 50/50 ball game here given both characters abilities and resistances to each other yet Simon got a 15-0 sweep despite it being even in stats to them

I do feel bad Kyle in the sense of DC not doing the guy justice despite him being a prominent lantern the man damn near non existent media outside a two episodes appearances in the Dcau and a cameo man only got an appearance in a Lego DC as the white lantern

i mean i get its not very cool but i dont see how its much different than a character gaining a wincon from a one off feat from an obscure limited run comic that released half a century before most of the audience was born or (see toph) using a behind the scenes blurb of the north american dvd boxset release of ATLA.

as long as they can verify the translations then it shouldn't matter (they use databook 4 for naruto in like 5 episodes now despite the databook not having an official english release)

Betting wise, I feel this could really go either way, but just by the mention of base GL Kyle holding that 12.3 dimensional big bang, I get the sheer feeling Kyle might be winning.

I don’t mind using the Drama CD for victory or anything, it’s just in the case of the G1 Blog being so open to use that while ALSO being extremely scrutinizing of DC’s cosmology and holding its tiering to a higher standard of accountability just to make it even.

Either you treat both series to the same level of leniency when it comes to scaling, or you go full VSB and give me a 20 page essay about why Simon saying he wants to be a real boy doesn’t automatically mean he can one shot Persona.

Honestly? I'm still betting on Kyle winning this fight. I mean the preview that they gave us had Kyle already at a dimensional tier (I know DT is not everyone's cup of tea, just bear with me here) then Simon higher then Simon, and that's just as a GREEN LANTERN. They didn't even get to White Lantern, let alone the Life Equation.

Now is there a chance that Simon ends up winning despite the odds stacked against him? Absolutely, there's a big chance that this fight will be a very close one, but I also think that Kyle's odds are more in his favor simply because of how DB has scaled DC throughout the last couple years.

Tbh it’s less of them predicting Simon will win and more of their seemingly bias against Kyle. Like, genuinely, in what other blog would they attempt to debunk the DC Cosmology (awfully, I might add) while giving GL every benefit of the doubt with his scaling possible.
