My guess is Chief mistakes him for a rogue or traitorous UNSC soldier going on a rampage and tries to put him down and Slayer responds in kind? Or it just starts in media res?

After Mahito started landing hits on Tomura (and causing him to lose Quirks with Idle Transfiguration), specially when he drew blood when using his arm blade, Tomura grew sick of Mahito and decided to just kill him instead of going through with his initial goal of recruiting him, hence the echange "Audition is over!" "Did I get the part?" they have just as the train arrives. That, and Mahito's constant taunting and nonchalant carnage didn't help.

Oh, yeah. DA is gonna be animating this most likely. After Omnidock and especially Kratosura, I am having very tempered expectations. I am prepared for the possibility that the rematch may be mid.

Yeah I misspoke a bit in my first reply since I was on mobile. I meant to say that I understand that there's 11D arguments for the universe for Halo as a whole, but none that Chief can actually scale to.
The only ones that get that high are fully powered Flood and the Forerunners/Precursors which Chief doesn't get close to even with his Forerunner gene alteration in 4. He doesn't have a way to weaponize Slipstream space with any of his standard equipment, I don't think Weapon is as efficient as Cortana was (though I imagine she's certainly above how she was in Halo 1-3.

I know that Chief has some really solid Large Building to City Block physicals and Hypersonic+ reactions, higher with his arsenal, but does anyone take the G1 blogs city and SoL scaling seriously?

I'm just hoping that if they do consider that, they realize that higher dimensionality =/ infinitely higher power without very crucial context. Even besides that, we know Chief isn't complex multiversal considering the fact that:
Chief is threatened by nuclear bombs and has to either run away from them or shield himself
Normal ass UNSC ships can survive slipspace (yes, they use special shields but why wouldn't the didact?)
Even Cortana needs multiple Guardians to destroy a normal 3D planet rather than oneshotting it effortlessly

I highly doubt DB is going to scale Chief that high, I don't think we should be worrying about that when the bigger thing to worry about is how badly Doomguy is gonna be shredding Chief

Chief vs Slayer won by a big margin Shadow vs Mewtwo 2 never had a chance the push was never gonna beat a mu with a long history as chief slayer for a rematch

Nah, not really. Then again, do like it less than pretty much everyone else I’ve seen talk about it.
Like, I get it, it’s a good episode, and compared to Kratosura, it’s a ******* masterpiece; but overall, I think it’s probably a 7.5/10 - 8/10. Really, the only thing holding it back was some pretty noticeable jank in the animation a some of the time (no, the “body horror” or whatever doesn’t excuse it, it looks like an animated history video you’d see in class), which can understandably be attributed to humans being harder to animate than more fantastical characters like Bowser or Eggman for Moro. Choreography and cool moments do help make up for it, though.
Also, I kinda found the track a little….boring? I mean, I’ve listened to it by itself and it’s solid, but I never even noticed it in the fight. You could probably put any other somewhat similar track and I wouldn’t notice a difference.
One last super minor thing is that I kinda felt like the editing was just too much a few times. Like, dawg, not every panel you show has to have movement in it, it makes it look weird. But that’s a relatively trivial thing, and I liked the extra stuff as a whole.

Speaking from upgrade point of view, MCDoomslayer is absolutely one of the best choices to get a remake just for fight animation alone. Doom 2016 wasnt even a thing in first ep, so a real 3D fight will be glorious.
But lets not kid ourself. This MU probably happened because people were salty lmao
