Actually, wouldn't this benefit Kratos more than anything else? Assuming that Asura isn't given soul resistance, I was thinking that Asura's giant form would give Kratos a way better chance of nicking Asura with the Claws of Hades and absorbing his soul.

Both of them fought beings that are incredibly large, Asura once fought the actual Planet itself. I wouldn't say it's an advantage for either of 'em.

Well they were working on one, but then Asura's Wrath sold like dirt and they were forced to condense all their plans for the sequel into the DLC so that least some of their ideas saw the light of day.

Not helping the fact that they locked the true ending to Asura's Wrath behind paid DLC, which I vividly recall raised up a bit of a stink when it first came out.

Kratos fought mountain sized Titans, but planets are way bigger. Unless you think Kratos can move around the world in few seconds, the distance can be so vast, that Kratos cant realistically cover it.
Unless for irony, that Kratos is so small, that Asura wouldnt actually be able to see him. I guess that loophole exists lmao

Besides the quote above telling you this time they actually worked close for the first time to be tied to the game story and providing them scripts to create them from these, they go against the games canon, let alone share a universe with Darkstalkers which the games dont acknowledge as such, especially when they make the Darkstalkers cast as fits for others
Not to mention the powerscaling is not even lining with the games, Gill beats Evil Ryu and Oni when base Akuma lays him down, let alone in games is shown to be only above Bison afawk

You also claimed Asura via that scaling matches Kratos? Not even remotely close, not only Asura fought a Ryu and Akuma from SF4 era which means anything one can wank from UDON happened years after the DLC

Darkstalkers is too unique to co-exist with Street Fighter in a shared universe, not to mention the events of the former would get the latter attention big time, especially when a literal fire Galactus wants to eat your world
Plus individuals like Bison will clearly want to catch some of the beasts walking around with them for power, while some like Akuma clearly would wanna challenge their might in a fight, their existence is way too unique for some characters not to react to them
