Honestly, I don't get what made Hal vs Ben so infamous.
Was it the death scene or what? Personally I think shit like GVS2, Yang vs Tifa, Shadow vs Mewtwo, etc are way more infamous
Anti-Climatic ending that didn't fit the Mu not to mention Ben resistance/Could've gone back to follow Hal
Plus Fan fav getting squashed by boot won't sit well with peeps

Alien X being the Magic gene

Lot of factors

Alien X was consider to be a god in vs at the time.

Nobody knew what Hal could do

And the death and explanation was bad
Maybe I'm just a fan of dark humor, but there's something inherently funny about seeing Hal just stomp Ben to death with a giant boot construct so maybe I'm missing something which makes the death pretty bad.

ya know i wish DB at times wasn't to the death
This makes Death Battle start with a new series of character versus debating.

What MU got These guys hyping up the next time?
Who knows.
Fans mostly speculate Jason Voorhees vs Michael Myers and Sauron vs Arthas/Ner'zhul in any order, with the Jason vs Michael in live action and Sauron match in 3D.
I have a feeling a brief chance of Spinal vs Cervantes would come. Then Jason Voorhees vs Michael Myers and Sauron vs Arthas/Ner'zhul. All three MUs in any order

but well archie silver might win, mostly because I only think DB is going to argue for speed and AP.

but in my mind i still think trunks can win it, but i don't think trunks can win it.
inb4 they says Xeno Trunks is 2-A and Archie Silver is Low 1-C GG

Read the blog as it was pretty good.
Now I am siding with Trunks fully since he feels more concreate than Silver's.
Should I say: the bloggers arguing for Xeno Trunks are doing a better job than those arguing for Archie Silver.

Bro I'm dead they don't buy immeasurable Trunks
I'm pretty sure they do, or at least, some of them do. I think most just said Silver's immeasurable was more solid and generally upscaled better, likely making him faster.

It's done. About time.

Yes split and debatable in their terms.
8 Xeno Trunks : 9 Archie Silver

But when we look into this...

First off, I appreciate them including this graph, but I do have a couple complaints. I'm pretty sure Chaos Force users have resistances to Poison Manipulation due to the aforementioned Egg Grape thing, though I guess you could argue potency. Time Acceleration has certainly been performed by Chaos Force users before, though admittedly I believe Ultra Sonic was the one to do it, so that would make it a case of debatably scaling. I don't think Extrasensory Perception is really a major deciding factor in this fight, however.

I guess Silver technically has nothing against Time Slow/Time Dilation, but it ultimately doesn't seem like something that would affect the fight and you could probably argue him resisting it via his other time related resistances.

I definitely found some of the arguments for DBH scaling to 5D pretty shoddy, so I don't blame the Silver opposition for picking at them, I definitely need to re-read their arguments though.

It is objectively ******* hilarious in hindsight, to be honest, but the reason people got mad are:

1. It's objectively a pretty mean spirited and brutal kill against someone who is ultimately a child.
2. The death logistically didn't even make sense with Ben's ability set. Alien X is acausal and wouldn't have been affected from being killed in the past, and the Sotobro Effect, a canonical aspect of Ben 10 regarding Time Travel, would have allowed him to know Hal was time travelling to the past and allowed AX to pursue him.
3. Ben's Omnitrix would have saved him from the arm slice in the first place, by either teleporting him, blocking the strike, or turning him into an Alien to prevent his arm being lopped off.
4. DB in the past has avoided brutally killing animated kids show characters in the past as to not potentially scare children who could watch the episode (it's why ever MLP death has been very tame, for instance), but yet Ben gets maimed and then splattered.
5. The controversy surrounding the verdict of the episode and the death being hilariously petty definitely inflamed people into disliking the death even more.
6. It's pretty anticlimatic in all honesty, Hal just stops the fight midway through right when AX gains the advantage and two shots a child.

Hope this helps explain to you WHY it was so disliked. They really would have been better off just having a massive display of uni busting or strength or something.

All i can say give me a good fight
8/10 bar minimum
Keep my expectations at length but it would be nice to have a PEAK episode of the season
Same. I need this fight to be good.

Though honestly for me, this needs to be a 9/10 or a 10/10. Personal investment and all, I need an episode this season I can unabashedly love, and since I've personally disliked or been sour one way or another every Sonic episode up to this point, I need this one to be a ******* slam dunk hit, Silver winning or losing idc.

Say, didn't they make a list addressing people's complaints with that matchup or something?

Mainly because most episodes this season just been decent to good

Not bad but not a single one feels super rewatchable

That's fair.

The episodes I've liked the most this season were HercKong, Excaliden, and BondWick. HercKong had probably the best analysis section, and a generally fun fight with great aesthetics, though I did have some problems with not going as crazy as it could've. Excaliden had a very fun, unique analysis segment and a fun, chaotic fight. BondWick had the only analysis to challenge HercKong's imo and while the fight starts very rough with its setup, I absolutely adore the fight after the opening, some of the best choreo and setpieces on the show in ages. Magnetsuo is also up there in being one of the most solid episodes they've ever made, but it didn't hit any marks AS strong as the aforementioned 3.

Silvunks (is that the abbreviation we'll use? idk) has the potential for a very fun analysis and some of the absolute best fight potential for any MU this season. Just please god be good lol.

Honestly I have a feeling that come tomorrow when we get the official verdict, unless DB pulls some shit nobody else has thought of, people will still have problems/disagree with it. I haven't seen a debate this close in ages lol.

Anyone with 50 power rings has resistance to Extrasensory Perception,Master Mogul couldn't sense Team Sonic. A Super State should upscale massively from that. That chart is kinda inaccurate.

I feel like the only person that got tipped a bit more by Silver Team's reasoning. Though honestly they just kind of reinforced my own thoughts in a bit more detail and tackled a couple things I didn't think of.

Ultimately though, yeah, there's nothing more to discuss when it comes to this matchup, I think we've exhausted about every option.

I wanna go back to the way I was before this match up was announced
I dunno, I really enjoyed this debate! It's been the only one this season and last that was actually pretty enjoyable all the way through, incredibly close.

Anyways, I'm probably gonna disappear from this board all of tomorrow. While I have RT and could watch the fight as soon as it airs, and as much as I WANT to do that... I'm gonna be group watching the fight with a bunch of my friends that I group watch DBs with. It helps that we're all Sonic & Dragon Ball fans so we're all invested in this MU. I don't wanna ruin a group watch experience like that by watching it early.

So expect my big review of the fight to probably hit around like, 2am-ish, lol. Unless the time we groupwatch the fight changes.
