Arle Nadja from Puyo Puyo is also a surprisingly good MU for Reimu for very similar reasons, plus it's a relatively close fight stats wise last I checked, mostly comes down to speed and haxx.

So guys, seeing as Cell will probably be in a death battle at some point soon, either this or next season, what do you think the odds are he returns in the upcoming DB movie? I honestly hope he does, because I ain't digging the two bozos shown in the trailer. They feel like the grunts you face before reaching the final boss to me.

Mind if I wax praise on a handful of MU's I really like? I'm probably gonna come back to this message every now and again to talk about an MU I really like, but I'm gonna avoid ones that have already been done on DB though, Archie Sonic vs Wally West is probably my current favorite Vs Match (despite me not really liking that ep).

So anyways, let me explain more in depth why I like:

Kasen Ibaraki vs Fleetway Sonic

It's a very unique MU that I've never seen suggested until I started pushing it around. It's relatively thematic, pretty close stats and haxx wise, has pretty good banter potential, with their initial personalities bouncing off one another well, Kasen's kind if forward and almost naggy demeanor against Sonic's free running, snarky and SORT OF asshole like demeanor in Fleetway would have some fun interactions, and when they both become fully bloodlusted in their Oni and Super Forms and just become to malevolent aggressive forces clashing against each other.

They have a lot of options for fun and interesting ability clashes, Sonic negging danmaku volleys with air forcefields/insta-shields, all the different ways Sonic can use his speed would keep Kasen on her toes, such as creating a tornado out of the air with pure speed, creating blasts of fire, creating after-images, or creating earthquakes, which would force Kasen to use different methods of defense/attack to negate or work around his attacks, along with Sonic having to use his speed & maneuverability to avoid Kasen's volleys of danmaku or electricity, Kasen's pets give her various abilities like poison or weather manip, her forcefields could help her deal with his assaults, she'd be able to change the location of the fight by dragging Sonic to her Senkai, and her extrasensory perception would even give her a heads-up on Sonic's Super Form changing his personality & power level dramatically. The fight would start at a somewhat small scale at first, since Kasen would normally never try to kill someone off the rip, and Sonic tends to hold his punches, but the fight would evolve in scale once their aggressive alter-ego's get brought into the fray, it would just become a brutal aggressive slugfest that could likely evolve to a cosmic scale if you want. Not to mention that Sonic would gain access to all the different abilities granted by his Super Form's Chaos Energy that God Robotnik had access to, such as reality and time manip, portal creation (which would allow for more environment changes, and much more.

There's so much to do in terms of creating a fight scene that I've actually sat down and created a general draft of how I'd choreograph a fight between them, various setpieces, environmental changes, references, and ability clashes tying it together and a little narrative to make it complete, if I ever had the capacity to make a versus fight into reality, it'd be this one, my little passion project. It's just a really fun fight to think about! Not to mention the potential for an interesting fight end that doesn't necessarily result in either character dying. Maybe one day I'll make that draft...

Fleetway Sonic's one of the most wildly different variations of Sonic and probably the other most important one to use outside of Archie Sonic, and has a handful of his own unique abilities and showings to make his appearance worth using, his Super Form's differences alone make it worthwhile, and Kasen's a pretty major player in the Touhou verse, both in lore, having had several major game appearances, and an entire long-standing manga dedicated to her, making her one of the most relevant newer Touhou characters. Sonic and Touhou are both generally really important franchises to me, and I think this is one of the most interesting and fun to think about fights that either franchise offers, its dynamic is interesting, the way that fight could play out is awesome, and it uses two franchises that are generally underrepresented in versus.

Hope that was a pretty good explanation, I could've blathered more but I think that's enough for all of ya'll!
 
I don't hate any DB episodes for the record. Sure There are many that I'm disappointed in and ones I dislike (Yang vs Tifa), but there's not any episode which I would say I hate

RE: Mario vs Sonic 2, I haven't watched that one in a long time, but I didn't really enjoyed the fight. The animation reminded me of those crude Mario parodies videos that were popular (or maybe are still popular-idk) and the pacing sucked. Mario was an asshole and I don't recall any epic scenes or felt any of the blows.

Re: Ben vs Hal
I agree that they should've gone with a cliche final blast-universe gone-ending rather than the whole time travel ending. The fight could've been a bit longer and showed off a few more Ben Aliens. The soundtrack was very nice though.
