thematic and an absolute stomp... besides yes... I don't think it's a good time to give dc victories for free and even less so now that they are about to have their first defeat.

So Luffy vs Plastic man looks more thematic.

Honestly it's 50/50 if we'll see Luffy in the foreseeable future on DB, on one hand both the deuteragonist and tritagonist of OP have already appeared (Zoro and Sanji) plus DB are more than willing to use the main character from an ongoing manga/anime e.g Natsu, Goku, Naruto (technically), etc however similar to Deku from MHA Luffy is still very much a developing character in terms of major P&A and DB have already locked Deku out of appearing until MHA finishes (which is planned to end this year iirc) but only Oda knows when OP will "end" also OP is the biggest manga of all time so DB have to be very tactful how they use the main protag himself to avoid unnecessary backlash.

Also insert here; "DB don't care if a MU is a stomp as long as it's thematic and will bring in the views plus most DBs are stomps" comment.

I recall someone here was slighted about Aizen's Soul Crush not being utilized in Madara v Aizen, and it's interesting to note that, it was! Just only in the storyboard, it was actually left out of the animation itself for some reason.

It's a pretty ******* raw scene too so sorry to tell you it got cut out tho.

They kind of started off already with these YT memberships...but just go for it already. If people can commission over $200 for VS songs from Brandon and therewofl, I'm sure they can get a handful from a fundraiser.

Think it was during a cast around Ultron vs Sigma. Think it was Brainiac is generally less focused on outright combat, and wouldn’t work as well as Sigma would.

The Death Battle crew put Ultron vs Sigma above Ultron vs Brainiac because of such reason. But they technically did not discard Ultron vs Brainiac. With sufficient fan requests or new movie of Ultron (Ultron appeared on A2 Age of Ultron tho) or Brainiac, they may consider coming back to this.

They actually did. They just didn't make the price open. Amazon commissioned Rooster Teeth and we have The Seven Battle Royale.

The cost of a music + animators + script writers + research crew (as easy as slapping everything from VSBW) + admin cost + buffer for legal cost + any profit margin.
