Really depends on if you scale Jonathan to Joseph, in which case he is hilariously faster than Tanjiro, and the AP gap isn't large enough for Tanjiro to tank Jonathan.

it just seems that it has its own things, it can make jonathan weaker or stronger than he really is, and the same with tanjiro, so in the end it will depend on what they create, but I don't know why this continues when... I prefer hyakkimaru a thousand times as tanjiro's opponent.

Well not just that though.

DIO having Jonathan's literal body, and noting that he is physically weaker than he was in PART 1 (who Jonathan is comparable too), implies that Jonathan could scale to DIO as was before drinking Joseph's blood. If accepted, the scaling would still give him the stats he needs to stomp Tanjiro.

i'd prefer a death battle where the two characters are actually from different magazines instead of the same magazine as mentioned above as it gives me a feeling like they're all in one same universe (kinda like how mario and link are from different universes but are under one company)

Hamon deals internal damage. If Jonathan hit Tanjiro once, then he is dead.
