What about when they couldn't "wish away" the Greek Gods?
It's important to note how bs the show is with its rules and limitations, see the blog I have about it. The Greek Gods may just have the power to come back if poof'd away, hence they said what they said. The justification given of them being all powerful doesn't hold up to the fact tha fairy magic is also said to be all powerful (For instance in Wishology Part 3 Cosmo said that and little time after Timmy wished the Eliminator gone, and he was gone, but he had magic and so wished himself back), you either redirect it as "they're more all powerful than our all powerful magic so we can't affect them" or "they're all powerful so they would just come back", but then add to it how they affect more powerful all powerful magic pretty often.

Also, the real reason why moving in a timeless void doesn't give infinite speed now is because, logistically, it doesn't, as the Speed page says.
Who here wants the "FIGHT!" to be back?
For me, not really, but find the beginning presenting the characters first and then a vague comparison second to be a clear mistake, there is more tension and build up the other way around, it's more epic, otherwise it's more empty. Similar with the "Next tiiime on Death Battle... " trailers at the end with full screen and a longer time, it leaves room to sick transitions and comparisons in what's shown that may otherwise don't matter.

Not to mention the bad jokes and too much talk in some fights.

@NotoriouSoda, out of curiosity but do you have Hayato vs Yujiro connections.

Like, if you could to make a list of them.
  • Both are the absolute grandmasters of their series, both are in many ways the ultimate teacher of the main protagonist, both are very cocky in their abilities and both are willing to take on anyone in a fight including children or animals. But one huge difference being Hayato's entire philosophy is to show mercy and never kill, while Yujiro will slaughter anyone if he feels like it.

Is basically different side of the same coin

One literally wouldnt kill

The other Creamed by thinking of figthing (i wish than this was a joke)

To be fair there also a reason why Yujiro does his shit

Smash Bracket's Joker vs Snake came out today.

Even in Bracket's more restrictive ruleset, Joker is at least Galaxy level. Even Ink "Jigglypuff has win conditions against Kirby I swear" Thinks basically said Snake literally has no win conditions at all.
Yeah I just watched that too. I still think the Jiggs vs Kirby thing is one of the funniest researches they've ever had, up there with Archie v PM.

Animation was alright, looked a little jank in places but definitely the most elaborate/detailed fight they've had yet. Poor Snake literally had no chance from the outset. Even omega nerfed Joker completely shitstomped him. At least it wasn't our Joker vs our Snake lol

I don't want to be that guy but like most people he's misunderstood David and Goliath. The thing is David wasn't some helpless kid he had a sling. Which might not sound impress but a sling is actually a very powerful weapon and was the equivalent of a gun for that era. It's a tool used for hunting and fighting wild animals, it could easily kill a person. The moral of the story wasn't "The underdog can prevail" it was "Strength is great but weaponry is better."
One.

Another is "God can turn anything into a powerful weapon".

Go back to the books of Samuel, you will note how Saul was powerful with God but weak and being chased after and be killed the moment he abandoned God.

Dont see how it ruins it, the fight pop up honestly was nice to hear before the battle, was adding to the hype
That is the opinion of the script writers. Out of our control TBH.

I wouldn't be surprised if tomororw there's nothing revealed yet. Ben said last week said "don't worry, we'll have something for you guys in the coming weeks"
Well...

A season with 16 episodes and a shorter DBX is still doable within this year.

Thanks to the Fire Force / Soul Eater upgrade, Black Star stomps Killua harder, Death the Kid stomps Satsuki Kiryuin harder, Maka Albarn stomps Ruby Rose harder... Oh Medusa Gorgon stomps Orochimaru harder.

Funny chain reaction and subsequent reaction moment.

My Satsuki Kiryuin MU List
Oh, how about Nova from Gunvolt?
  • Both were a part of the experiment that gave the main protagonist of their series their abilities (Gunvolt's Azure Striker septima and Ryūko's life fiber physiology) but were a failure, later obtaining a different power of similar origin (Nova's Psychokinesis and Satsuki's Junketsu)
  • Despite having genuinely good intentions and greatly disapproving of those who performed those experiments on them (Nova disapproving of Sumeragi's methods and Satsuki being an enemy of Ragyō), both believe that the best way to accomplish their goals is through total subjugation, Nova trying to use The Muse to control all Adepts and Satsuki ruling with dictatorial authority. This puts them in conflict with the protagonist, who despite ultimately sharing their goals have very different ways of doing them.
  • Both lead large teams of teenagers and young adults who transform into more powerful forms (The Sumeragi Seven and The Elite Four), including their fiercely loyal second in command who happens to be the oldest of the respective groups (Jota and Ira Gamagōri).
  • Are easily one of the strongest characters in their series (And possibly the single strongest early on), superior to transformed members of their teams even when not transforming themselves. They also typically avoid transforming unless they consider it absolutely necessary, Nova due to his weaponized form enhancing his worst personality traits and Satsuki due to needing to control Junketsu with sheer willpower.
  • Both eventually end up utilizing the partner of the main protagonist to empower themselves at some point in their stories (Nova using Joule and Satsuki using Senketsu)

Yo, can you find a MU for Mima?
Augh, thought I might've finally found a kind of funny one in Piccolo from Dragon Ball. Both are initially antagonists that end up raising one of the main protagonists (Gohan and Marisa). Not much I've found connections-wise beyond that.

It's unfortunately kind of weird stats wise because it's either a Piccolo stomp or a Mima stomp depending on how you stat/scale them and based on what eras of each franchise you use:

Mima's stats in just the PC-98 games, against Piccolo up until his first death in DBZ (Mima 4A/3C vs Piccolo 5C)
Mima's stats in just the PC-98 games, against Piccolo up until the end of DBZ (Mima 4A/3C vs Piccolo 4C)
Mima's stats in just the PC-98 games, against Piccolo up to his most recent incarnation (Mima 4A/3C vs Piccolo 3A)
Mima's stats in total including Windows Cross Scaling, against Piccolo up to his most recent incarnation (Mima H3A/2C vs Piccolo 3A)

So it's like, varying in how fair it is as well. But what killed the MU is that Piccolo literally doesn't have ******* Non-Physical Interaction from my research? I don't see it on his page anywhere, which means he'd actually have no way of even touching Mima...

If there's a way to cope around that, then yeah, not a horrible MU.

I'm still looking for a better one though, I'll get back to you whenever I do find one though.

It was confirmed on the Discord that Yu Narukami vs Takumi Aiba is getting a vocal track.
Yu Narukami vs Takumi Aiba... A matchup that has a Digimon character and is not fighting against a Pokémon character.

Looking forward to it.

How far has Brandon Yates been clearing the commission queue? Because I have commissioned him for one music and I want to commission another one with my spare money.

Yeah... That doesn't sound too great
Nice first try tho

Have ya'll seen the Iron God from the recent iron Man series. Imagine if that had been in the Death Battle. That suit makes the Godbuster look pathetic.

As of now, it's definitely a 3-C level character, though if I dig deep enough into Korvac's history and such, I could probably get Iron God to Tier 2.

Here's a fun one.
Thor (Marvel Comics), the God of Thunder vs Pelinal Whitestrake (The Elder Scrolls), the Star-Forged Cyborg Knight from the future

Connections:
Both are warrior demigods who fought in genocidal campaigns against the enemies of their respective races. Pelinal wanted to exterminate every last elf and khajiit and Thor did the same against the frost giants and the last remaining dark elves.
Both have wildly different stances regarding their demigodhood. While Thor almost revels in his status as the God of Thunder, Pelinal abhors any mention of his own divine lineage and will brutally murder anyone that brings it up, regardless of friend or foe.
Both are identifiable by an artifact they use - Mjolnir and the Amulet of Kings.
Pelinal is a time traveller, Thor can time travel using Mjolnir.
Both can enter a frenzied state referred to as the Madness where they become hugely more powerful than before.
Both are best friends, almost brothers, with a bull faced being. Those being Beta Ray Bill, the last of his kind, and Morihaus the winged bull, first of his kind.
Both their identities can be assumed or inherited by others when they don their equipment. Jane Foster becoming Thor and the Hero of Kvatch/Champion of Cyrodiil becoming Pelinal reborn during the events of TES4: Oblivion.
Both found their match in a great foe who was the ultimate test of their mettle, and the battle had adverse consequences for their future. Thor losing his worthiness when he was told that Gorr was right and Pelinal losing his life after the remaining Ayleids tore him apart when he fell exhausted after his battle with Umaril the Unfeathered, king of the Ayleids.
