Nah this isn't like every design in the show tho, like these in the image are rancid but then ya got like the Superman and Supergirl, Braniac, and Green Lantern designs that are cool as shit. Just saying western anime style isn't the problem, its moreso trying to make all the villains tech based that limits the design
Otherwise MAWS is an amazing show and good Superman adaptation
