Unpopular Opinions and (Friendly) Rant thread

Listen to Not An Option, Mr. Chow, and Space High
TBH yeah this album isnt the worst (still worse than V2 IMO). I liked these songs but they're kind of whatever to me. I was bopping my head to all of the songs but I don't think I'd add any of them to my playlist, might add Mr. Chow though, the song reminds me of Chief Keef kinda

Field Trip - It was a cool song, but not something I would add to my playlist (I really hate that Kanye doesn't list the features)

530 - Ngl it was going somewhere, but they lost me in the final sequence when the mfs were just ranting and dissing random ass rappers lmfao

River - Now THIS is a good song. Definitely will be adding this to my playlist

rip. my favorite song off the album

Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign (of course), features: Playboi Carti, Don Toliver and Kodak Black (i hate Kodak's verse so much)

Overall. I think both albums have some pretty high highs and some pretty low lows.

Though I think EA2 is a more consistent and coherent album (some of the songs on Vultures is just Kanye bullsh*tting).

I will never forgive Uzi for listing Big Time Rush as a feature but only having them do a goofy ass snippet in the beginning.

And tbh while I think Meteor Man and Paars in the Mars are annoyingly repetitive, they are some times where I catch myself singing some of the lyrics, so I don't fully hate those songs.

Hot take but the Narnia movies and the Alice in Wonderland (tim burton) are good movies.
Some are good. Dawn Treader fell off compared to earlier installments, as did the second Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland films. They are unfairly discredited, though, it's true- in terms of visual style, the Wonderland movies are some of Tim Burton's best later works (his earlier works aren't fair to compare to, dude was top of the game).

Dawn Treader was peak for me, even if it was likely nostalgia speaking. It was the first time I went to a movie theater see. It's been important to me for a while (especially considering one of my actual first movies was Master and Commander)

nostalgia is a valid reason to like a movie as long as you recognize it is at least in part because of nostalgia.

Nostalgia?

Nosetalgia

You guys should listen to Nosetalgia by Pusha T ft. Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick's best feature of all time accompanied an amazing Push verse and a fire beat to boot.

Tbh, Devil May Cry on the wiki in particular bugs me so much, I genuinely can't tell what's real and what's fake as an outside viewer anymore with all this stuff going on (like, especially when it comes to the lore of how the world was formed and all that, how desperate are y'all for upgrades that you'll literally bend the lore or even invent new lore to your liking???)

I think the verse might be like 2-C, Inf Speed caps and we are all just being gaslit.

I still think Dante should be downgraded back to 2-C just so he can continue being the king of 2-C game characters

Also why does every verse I like except one or two end up with people that try to wank it to unholy degrees that aren't even representative of the series anymore
the unbeatable combo of "finally upscaling a character to tier 1 base" into "the character never gets an interesting versus thread again" claims all verses in time

That's what someone who try to wank a verse to unholy degrees that aren't even representative of the series would say

I love the Hobbit movies. I've finished watching them yet again (extended editions obv) and what can I say except, I just genuienly love them. Sure there are some issues like the use of cgi, a few minor plotlines that weren't quite necessary and the whole Tauriel and Kili romance was a bit forced, but the rest of the movies were amazing. It was peak fantasy action and I won't die on that hill, I'll fight on top of it until I win.
People complain that PJ didn't need to make a trilogy for a small book. I say - bullcrap.
The original book, as important as it is, was not that great. It was an amazing fantasy story for its time and still remains a masterpiece of its own, however it is far from perfect. The entire plot with orcs was glitching in and out of the story and showed up in the end. The great battle of five armies ended as abruptly as it started and they just narrated that oh well, these three dwarves you love died. I get that it was a children's book but we need to acknowledge that it was a children's book and making a modern film or hell, even a cartoon from it would require several story tweaks.
I think PJ made an amazing trilogy and that every hour I spent watching it was 100% worth it. The first film was amazing, setting up the story, letting us bask in the amazing scenery and enjoy the antics of the dwarfs. The action was great and fun and the film overall was amazing. Then there was the second film which didn't hit quite as hard but then the second halve with the dragon came in and made it way way better. The action went even harder, the choreography of the fights improving by the scene. Then finally, the battle of five armies. The first time I watched it I had a dvd and the film was only the theatrical edition. The full version of the film is way bloodier, the theatrical release cut out like 70% of the action somehow. It was an amazing battle with an amazing climax. Sure, it wasn't the battle for Gondor, but it was still peak fiction.

The hobbit trilogy is peak and if you @ me I'll rob you.

Putting out my prediction now, The Fall Off will be J Cole's best project ever and a top 15 album of all time. But I don't think it's his next album. I think there might be a buffer in between (whether likely just a mixtape). I think The Fall Off will be Late 2025 or 2026.

Also he's prolly gonna be my goat ngl. I'm already biased and he's an extremely close #2. If The Fall Off is half as good as it's cracked up to be, he'll be my favorite ever.

I sometimes carry doubts about the proposal in my mind, as if it's too shaky and inconsistent, since it never really plays a main part in the crucial storylines. However, seeing such ridiculous shit in the CRTs of many other users made me realise the verses I work on are probably the clearest and most accurate compared to them 💀💀💀

You're only realizing that now? I've been confident in my work since I've seen the stuff people did with Tokyo Revengers
