Unpopular Opinions and (Friendly) Rant thread

Nah but you had to do more than just like anime. Mfs were doing Kamehamehas I'm the halls n shit.
That and the iconic Naruto run

One of the few things that made anime more accepted in society was those "When People Take Anime Too Far" videos from RDCWorld (goated content creators btw)

Anime was already starting to pop off a bit around that time, but those RDC videos made people realize that anime is cool. They were definitely one of the reasons why anime became mainstream

You literally got bullied for admitting to liking anime in the 2000s 🤣🤣🤣 (overexaggeration but you were certainly the "weird kid.")
Anime became "mainstream" in the late 2010s lil bro
The likes of Naruto and Bleach were very popular in the mid-2000s. Don't know where you grew up.

This conversation about kids imitating popular anime stuff reminds me of this meme

Out of all Japanese media the only thing that is a good inspiration for fighting is Yakuza. It teaches the simple trick of grabbing the nearby potted plant and cracking your opponent's skull with it. Sure you'll get arrested and charged with overstepping self defense boundaries and potentially murder but like, you'll win the fight for sure.

The best defense is a great offense. The best offense was the 2017 Golden State Warriors.

You'd only get arrested if you're a pussy

JJBA teaches you to make the guy hit HIMSELF with the potted plant.

No charges.

Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon were definitely the exception.

Can we also talk about how The Shadow Realm is one of the coolest concepts?
When you think about it, it's supposed to be a softer coverup for death, but being essentially hell where you're eternally tormented by your worst fears unless someone gets you out, it's like infinitely worse.

Unpopular opinion: New Popular Thing is BAD AND CRINGE! Old Popular Thing is GREAT AND UNDERRATED!
I know you mean in general, but, honestly, while critcism of new stuff is fine and dandy, it really gets grating when the argument is insert inane detail that was removed in the new version.

Fortunately no JJBA fan ever has to worry about this because the author doesn't give a shit about remembering minor details. My GOAT

No freaking way. That came outta left field for sure.
With all due respect to Efi, did it really? I'm just shocked he was the first. Some others seem like even more of a chore to converse with and are forgiven simply because of their position. A certain someone who was banned semi-recently (for other reasons) was constantly condescending to no end.

Out of left field as in out of nowhere, not that it wasn't something that wasn't supposed to happen. I know a fair bit about the behind the scenes too and the report has been in the works for way longer and I'm surprised that it happened now.
