ive mentioned this before but
psykorochi’s multicontinental beam was actually the impact between her beam and tatsumaki’s barrier, she wasnt even aiming the ground
this also explains why it expanded that much and the others didnt

the earth would’ve been ****** up in one shot if psykorochi was actually trying to fire it 🧚‍♂️

offtopic: why is deidara so ducking damn cool?
Reminder that this is what he does in his off time. (yes, this is an official cover)

I haven't really given any updates on that speed thread I was planning, but it's well on the back burner now because this annoying horseshit is happening to cubari discord links.

If we use his webcomic statement then he’s at least 5-C which doesn’t put him in top tier I suppose
Of course, if we use his anime star level scaling then he solos ez
He has no star level scaling in any variation of the canon series. He has one mistranslated statement that is contradicted by the very same guidebook and has no supportive evidence for it. Star level isn't even a highball tbh, it's just straight-up wank. A more appropriate highball would be planet level or large planet level at absolute maximum..

But yes a wanked Boros could solo a midballed Naruto.

Pretty sure star level wasn’t a mistranslation

Considering that the kanji used (hoshi) can mean various interstellar objects in general, including both planet or star, and every other instance of CSRC's power being mentioned is planet level or lower, not to mention it is hilariously inconsistent, with multiple actual translators coming forward and straight-up saying it looks like a mistranslation, furthermore having the fact that guidebooks have never been some kind of be all end all form of evidence, and having ONE's approval means literally nothing when we're talking about the English version, which he can't even read, yes it's pretty safe to say that it's a mistranslation. Kanji is a pretty archaic form of writing that many people note as being flawed and overly-complex, this is just one of many examples. Anime Boros is planet level.

tatsumaki is also said to have limtless power and being able to move all creation
like wtf

a wanked opm verse is REALLY strong

Wanked OPM verse caps at High 3-A (Tatsumaki being able to move all creation and the many infinite power statements). Maybe reaching into Low Complex Multiversal with what I'd call super-wank ("Sub-Space Gates" argument).

Isn't hyperbole, just anime was on a different scale.
The same anime where every other statement about the same attack or its user says planet level at max, with the very same text also being translated to saying it can destroy a planet, depending on the interpretation. It can go literally either way, but planet level is more consistent with Boros, and clearly fits the whole narrative design ONE was going for with Boros being this world-ender type threat, similar to the classical interpretation of Frieza, who was known for being able to destroy planets if he felt like it. It's clearly supposed to be saying that CSRC can obliterate entire planets (which would still be a major upgrade), it's just obvious.

As a note, while I understand what you mean, calling Hoshi star isn't a mistranslation since its solely based on context. The text for examples looks like the following:
星を消し飛ばすほどの威力を誇るボロスの究極技「崩星咆哮砲」に対抗するべく、サイタマが繰り出したのは「マジ殴り」。これまで普通のパンチ一撃で決着をつけてきたサイタマだが、壮バトルについに切り札を出す!!
Hoshi wo keshitobasu hodo no iriyoku wo hokoru Borosu no kyuukyokuwaza [Housei Houkou hou] ni taikousurubeku, Saitama ga kuridashita no wa [Maji naguri]. Kore made futsuu no panchi ichigeki de ketchaku wo tsuketekita Saitama daga, sou batoru ni tsuini kirifuda wo dasu !!
In order to oppose Boros' ultimate technique [Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon] which boasts enough power to blow away "星" ,what Saitama pulled out was a [Serious Punch]. Even though up until now every battle had been concluded with a normal punch, he finally uses his trump card to end a terrific battle !!
So say you're a translator who might not have worked on or watch OPM. You are translating this random Blu-Ray guidebook and come here. To translate hoshi you need to look for context clues in the sentence. The sole context clue you have is an attack name called "Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon". Translating it to star in the circumstance laid out makes complete sense.

However it 10000% is meant to be planet here. Boros in the anime directly states that his attack will blow up the planet and earlier in the same thing it says that Boros' latent or hidden energy can destroy planets. I think here they just say the attack name and went "Oh so it means star" and called it star.

For the site we only accept the planetary end afaik. Same with how we accept the shave translation of the databook rather than the planet busting translation.

As a note, while I understand what you mean, calling Hoshi star isn't a mistranslation since its solely based on context. The text for examples looks like the following:
I'm not saying that translating hoshi into the word star is a mistranslation, but that the intent that was originally meant with the word "hoshi" pre-translation was planet, as you explain, which is why the translator messed up by not having the full context, thus making it a mistranslation, even if the words are still technically accurate. I agree with literally everything you're saying here, including your explanation for how it was mistranslated.

I'm so tired of this 5-B Boros stuff, just make the damn CRT if there is so much evidence for it

I mean, not only is season 1 different from the anime in many ways, entire scenes and characters were added or entirely changed, and Boros not only explicitly says he'll destroy the planet, but the old databook says he's planet level, the OPM Compus (which explicitly follows the anime) says he has enough latent energy to destroy planets and later you have the controversial CSRC statement. Clearly it's a different version of Boros (power-wise) that's just buffed from the manga version, like various other anime characters including Tatsumaki (at the time).

Boros is 5-B in the anime version. Not sure why he doesn't have an anime profile yet, or an anime key on his page would work too.
Because Boros ultimately wouldn't qualify
Certain anime & manga franchises also run into similar problems. For instance, Dragon Ball possesses numerous alternative continuity games, and non-canon movies. Other large scale franchises often run into similar problems, containing numerous non-canonical spin-offs and alternate continuities.

However, problem can arise from this: If one were to allow all alternate and/or non-canon versions of said characters, we would eventually be crowded with dozens of alternate profiles for the same characters. As such, certain limitations must be placed:
4) Franchises which contain non-canonical spin-offs/movies/videogames, et cetera, each with their own continuities and feats, yet not to the extent that Marvel and DC Comics do, should only be allowed profiles for notable original characters from said spin-offs, and not alternate versions of canonical characters, unless they are very prominent and notable.

Ex: Main villains from non-canonical movies of Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, One Piece and the like can be allowed profiles, yet most versions of Son Goku contained in games such as Shin Budokai should not, as the only difference they hold from Canon Goku lies in their extent of power. However, given the prominence and popularity of Dragon Ball GT, alternative versions of Goku and Vegeta from this continuity have been allowed. If the alternate non-canonical version of a character is notable enough in the sense of having their own feats, and a different role and purpose, then it is possible that profiles for them can be created.

5) Certain franchises also contain a variety of spin-offs and alternate continuities, yet justify their existence due to in-series Multiverses. In such cases, Rule Number 3 still applies, albeit to a lesser scale. Original characters from said works are all allowed, yet alternate versions of original canon characters should not be abused.

Ex: Both the Puella Magi Madoka Magica and the Saint Seiya Franchises explain all of their Spin-Off mangas as alternate timelines, and profiles for characters originating from said works are allowed.

To summarize:

The key issue overall is notability/relevance. If a spin-off version of a character is very popular, prominent, and distinctive from the original, with a sufficient number of feats or descriptions to scale from, it can generally be featured.

However, if it is obscure, does not have enough of a distinctive story to even qualify as a separate character (such as if it originates within a fighting game), and very limited information to scale the statistics from, it should likely not be featured.
Ultimately Anime Boros lacks the two big things that would make him a valid target for indexing
  • He's not different enough from his manga version
  • Him having a profile isn't needed for scaling reasonings
One of the main reasons that Toei Goku is allowed to exist for example, is that his profile is needed for GT scaling to be possible. If it wasn't for that (and scaling to other anime movie villains), we probably wouldn't give Goku his own profile.

We also don't allow non-OC Ninja Storm characters for the same reason besides those who are required for scaling with those OCs.
