The same Green Stones that managed to have the Society take down and capture Dagon, kill Meta=Critters, and even allow Jo and Berta to harm entities like Tesla (who adopted the existence of an Illusion)? Yeah, those same things don't mean shit to him.
 
What was that, this supernatural thing exists? It's an illusion. We need someone to make a meme for that.

Another one for Edison too, whenever something bad happens, Kono Edison Da.

They are pretty wild considering normal attacks just don't work on them and you need something like Berta and Jo's weapons or anything outfitted with a Green Stone.

With all the things we're going to put for M is going to make Edison even more busted lol.

There's also that of Cracking, which from the Engine Dictionary and the fact he made the very first Phenomena Equation Experiment (Astrea made the second one, which was only a year after the one Edison did in NY) means he's got even more firepower if we can get anything that says Cracking is drawn from his power.

Which is even more bonkers by the fact that the Cracking shown in Inganock and Gahkthun (in the form of Arts) will make him so stupidly broken. If only we have proper resistances for him though...
 
The thing with resistances for M and Edison is because they are so busted, nearly nobody can do anything to affect them or put up a fight, so they don't show any resistances, they just stomp whoever the come up against.

I still question how Edison is ever going to be defeated, the heroes are so weak in comparison. Maybe it's just not that kind of story, maybe it really is a fairy tale in action, this is just the tale of a mega powerful villain playing with all intelligent life, and the meager struggle of said life, which if true is so dark and depressing.
 
Yeah.

Everything seems to be related to fairy tales so I wouldn't be surprised if Edison never just gets defeated but people still don't give up despite the situations they find themselves in regardless if Edison had a hand in it or not.
 
Does either M and Edison have any other resistances besides the one they have shown in their respective VNs/Stories?

I heard in a previous thread that both M and Edison stalemates each other for all of eternity or something. If it's legit then their resistances would be buffed heavily.
 
As far as i know, nope.

Still haven't seen this statement of them stalemating each other, and it would have to have been in the past, cause currently Edison clearly would beat M.
 
A Demonbane x WAB crossover would be cool. I recently finished all of Demonbane and the setting and background of DB is very similar to WAB. Though if it's canonized for both verses, the DB lore could need some fixes to fit with the lore of WAB. But on the flip side, characters would get a major boost in power and hax.

I'd probably have a heart attack if I so much as hear Demonbane and WAB are connected to one another lol.
 
I mean, Tesla would be the one having a Heart Attack thinking that Black King and Edison aren't the two Nyarlathoteps. He'd have to go through Nya, Father Ny, Clockwork Phantom, Haunter of the Dark, Bloated Woman, Tick Tock Man, Howler, Sphinx, 1000 Faces, and finally Ultrathotep.
 
Didn't Demonbane get downgraded to 2-A? So both verses currently are the same tier, though last i checked M and Edison are too haxed for them, but could be wrong, cause haven't looked at their pages since the downgrade.
 
They got downgraded to 2-A yeah. They also don’t seem to have any resistances either which is about the same for M and Edison.

Dk who would win though.
 
About the downgrade, I'm currently doing a revision for the verse in my wiki. Based on the evidences gathered, even the 2-A is large with infinite universes having infinite worlds with each of them expanding with infinite possibilities simultaneously. Basically MWI but with infinite possibilities. The verse hits low 1-C with the realm of Outer Gods.

As for haxes, I'll cover that too but to give you an idea, Mugen, who is Yog Sothoth's shadow/fragment aka avatar, has Plot Hax, Precog that works on Type 4 Acausals, Void Hax, Probability Hax that encompasses Infinite possibilities both existent and non-existent ones, etc. Nyarlathotep is a Type 2 Non-existent entity since it's the Primordial chaos where everything erased on a Conceptual level end up, etc. An interesting fact is that the strongest avatar of Nyarlathotep is Ultrathotep who is an Elder God or Holy Entity that wasn't created by Nyarlathotep but brought into existence by Azathoth.

The problem with Demonbane pages in this wiki is that is that it only extends upto the first game aka Zanma Taisei with some info used from the second game and as such 2-A is what they get.
 
Finally got my next project to do, which is Ulthar Thoughts. The book that is supposed to be prepared for the actual work but...knowing Sakurai, who even knows at this point. It's about as silent as Cthulhu sleeping deep underwater.

Reasons for doing this is it has a term that explains what a Shintai is, as well as several names of the Great Old Ones from Lovecraft's Mythos works as well as others from the expanded mythos. We also have stories that take place sometime in the 1900's (probably early given our latest date of WAB is 1909 iirc) and a brief look at ancient Kadath which includes talking about the true nature of Kadath's moon which Valusia's WN calls it as "Azathoth" cuz it is A.Z.T.T or the largest fragment of the Outer God Queen we know.

Tick Tock Man and Baron also make an appearance/or are mentioned here, so this is something to look out for as well as that "Pinkerton Detective Agency" that we first met in Sharnoth's WN storyline.

An easy guide that explains part of what Mushoku no Ulthar would have been about.

Said White God was briefly shown in one of the "stories"/"worlds" Lily journeyed to in the WN and the Black King did mention about Kadath making bodies made out of steel and Engines for the disappearing gods.

A shame still because Ulthar's plot sounds super interesting about the fantasies in ancient times.

I mean I might as well just get it over with since Sona Nyl actually show bits of it or bring it up (WN and Engine Dictionary though) and Cthulhu appearing in Shining Night is a thing since he's one example of what a Shintai is. Hell, I wanna know what it really means in-text from the books glossary.

DK when I'll get it out but I have all the text prepped up for translations so probably next week or so depending my activities.

Green Stone

Sharing some info regarding the Green Stone and something that's called the "Emerald Tablet".

The Green Stone is an object that was used to take the form of a book known as the "Emerald Tablet" that is said to contain all alchemical knowledge, and is the ultimate goal of the Society to discover its secrets.

As a stone it's said to bring about various mysterious but nothing is known beyond it. However, two things we do know is that the Society has used these for their "State-of-the-Art" weapons in order to kill illusions like the Old Ones and Meta=Critters. And Charlie actually had them which may have something to do with how she got to Sharnoth or possibly creating her Meta=Critter Banshee, which may also imply a Green Stone can create them as much as it can allow one to interact and harm them.

The Spear of Wrath King. Can pierce Tesla's Knight of Thunder, has a variant called Alpha Cross that can kill illusions and neg immortality, and can sew you in the space it hits.

This Cthulhu would be pretty potent for its tier.
 
It absolutely hitting i am guessing has to do with it having infinite speed, as for immortality neg, what type specifically does it neg, like type 1 or type 8? If it's type 8, have to wonder how Tesla came back when he killed him.
 
Most likely. Wrath King's spear is just formed from one of his arms, and his arms are said to ignore space-time and something about "crushing all things in existence" which sounds just like what Fabtastic once said in the older threads.

Immortality though, IDK. It just said Tesla couldn't maintain it but I imagine Type 8?

How he did it was most likely through World Intervention, which is some reality warping ability he has but I don't have any info about it (text) and the only thing Atwiki says is about being able to affect "base reality" or whatever.
 
Ah world intervention, makes sense.

Wrath King would be very op in a vs match as you said, infinite speed attacks that destroy all things, including non-existent beings, sows space and negates immortality, and in addition to his transmutation hax of turning things into salt.

If only Shining Nights was out years ago, we could have had a spear match between him and Reinhard before he got absurdly broken, a shame.
 
Pray that Sona Nyl sales are high and there is a demand for other WAB series. Otherwise translations for these games will have to wait indefinitely unless and until some online peeps like the Amaterasu group decides to translate them.
 
If I had a PC, money, and some other junk, I'd go out of my way to translate the rest of the series lol. Not sure how I'd do it to make it like the Amaterasu gang though. I'd probably be like this one guy who does translation vids for one of the Shinza Bansho VN's (if you guys ask, no it's not K3. It's the more obscure one of the bunch, Paradise Lost).

But I'm only a Mac User so there's not much else I can do except translate WAB's side materials and other stuff they got.

That said, I do expect Sona Nyl to be even more popular than Gahkthun considering plenty of people are hyping for it.
 
Was the wait for Gahkthun longer?Sona Nyl was announced in what 2015? It's been like over 5 years, wonder if other series take that much time.

If so even if like Valusia gets an official translation, we would be waiting years for it.
 
@Celestial_Pegasus Gahkthun was first released back in late 2012. Its ENG version was later released around 2015...I think. Or '14, whichever the date is.

Sona Nyl would be the one that's being waited on by a mile.
 
Wonder why Sona Nyl is taking that much longer then, can't be that it's longer, cause all the games are like 10-30 hours. Maybe it uses more complex words or something?

Something like this seems to answer your question.

I recall a tumbler post of theirs that had them explained the last part too. Something about the OG version having certain parts of their game have lines with text that don't match what they're actually saying which for anyone who really knows Japanese had to listen carefully since it's important. Here for the ENG version, they likely have to do something to compensate for this.
