Yhwach himself could just be converted into physical matter for the sake of the match, he's a quincy, which is basically just a human who can absorb reishi.

Yeah... And SBA assumes characters retain their, you know, character actions, just with a mentality to win. Yhwach quite literally never uses any of the shrifts. Ever.
