"Oop!" Cain yelped, moving to help Palaria up. "Alright, that's all well and good, but maybe you should take a rest now..."
"Yeah... just... try it out later... yeah...? Should give you... even some extra range... with your melee..." Palaria murmured, clearly moving to fully lay down at this point with a smile
(I was sure she was standing in front of Cain, also she may have fallen off the bed)
(She basically can't really stand without support right now, she'd be floating if anything, and I'd have said I'd She had fallen off.)

"Yeah... just... try it out later... yeah...? Should give you... even some extra range... with your melee..." Palaria murmured, clearly moving to fully lay down at this point with a smile
"Alright... I'll... spar against someone like Goliath or Dhei or whatever... Just get some rest, alright...?" Cain asked worriedly.

"Alright... I'll... spar against someone like Goliath or Dhei or whatever... Just get some rest, alright...?" Cain asked worriedly.
"I guess it's fair that you get some rest, tomorrow you have a long day ahead of you" said Mark although he had a small smile but clearly the concern was inside him
"Yeah... I was... planning... to..." Palaria murmured as she shifted herself into the covers before outright passing out

Cain nodded, beginning to leave Palaria's house. She shivered a bit, stepping into the river.

"I need to calm down... Calm... Calm... You know what that means, right...? Calm almost rhymes with Cain... Wait, what's a rhyme...?" She murmured.

Mark walked and sat on a chair while looking at Palaria, even from several meters he could hear her breathing, so peaceful and so beautiful....

"I won't let this affect you even more, even if it makes me lose my mind" Mark murmured as he looked at the woman he loved

Para silently leaves, figuring Palaria probably wants to be alone at that point. Meanwhile, Epithymia has created more of the Nightshade Missiles she utilized earlier. Kaminos had reached a state of boredom via doing essentially nothing for several minutes, when Epithymia approached him.

"*Mea!" Epithymia said, approaching the Elf-Orc.

"Excuse me?" Kaminos asked, confused by what she had said.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I meant to say '**ea'!" She said, "I thought something didn't sound right..."

"I see..." Kaminos said, "You know I can speak your language, right?"

"I'm well aware. Just wanted to brush up on it a little."

"Was there something you wanted?"

"Yeah, actually! I wanted to shoot you with a missile."

"You what?!"

"Just to test it out. I made a little upgrade from the last model based on some of the explosive power you generate. It's not on your level, but I think I've made it close."

"So a me missile? ***Aboeamae! Let's see how close you've got it!

"That's the spirit! But first, we should probably get away from everyone else. You know, so they don't get caught in the crossfire at all?"

*Mea = Elven word for "Mother"
**Ea = Elven greeting
***Aboemae = Elven word for "awesome!"

(No, I'm writing a post for Cain lol.)

(That's why I haven't timeskipped yet)

"She should be fine." That's what Guzma told himself as he patrolled beyond the bounderies of the camp, but he knew damn well that this was do or die for her, so he was putting a lot more effort than usual, his undead had already dealt with a group of cultists, so he knew he should be ready for combat at any moment, he grimaced when he sensed another cultist, aiming for him with a bow, which he responded by summoning arms of skeletons from the ground and quickly killing them without a second Thought, eventually returning to the camp to eat his soup

While he had his sweet noments of the dream with his mom, the tragedy part would occur eventually as well, at a fast pace speed nonetheless too all of a sudden, causing Dhei to shout as he woke up and swinging his claws out in reflex at nothing

Breathing heavily, with Dhei looking around afterwards, before he put his palm on the forehead and over one of the eyes

"......not once can i have a nice moment.....**** this world.....**** this life.....now i cant sleep either.....damn it....."

Dhei stood up when he was done talking and goes to see what others were doing

Suddenly, a massive explosion goes off in the distance. Then another. Kaminos's armor and weapons were still back with the others. Voices could be heard in the distance, appearing to get closer to the camp before stopping. Then, all of a sudden, an even bigger explosion occurred, and the voices got louder as they drew even closer to the others.

Cain sits herself down in the water of the river, crossing her legs. "I heard this is called.... meditation... maybe this can help me relax..." Cain closed her eyes, trying to clear her mind, accidentally shifting to her demon form as that happened, her halo gently spinning around her as some memories began flowing back to her...

"Cain. Cain! Get up, you idiot!"

That's right... She used to be a mercenary, and a damn good one at that. It'd been a few decades since this memory had actually occurred in her life, so, she may have partially forgotten what the place looked like, but, it only took a few seconds for her to fully remember the place. A dusty, broken pub, coupled with the abundance of foul stenches, screaming, weapons, and one couldn't forget the permeance of rotten criminals and assassins.

In a way, the memory of the rotting atmosphere was... calming. Perhaps, it was the first place she felt like she actually "belonged" somewhere. She got a job, she killed, she got money, and she was as such praised for it. She knew, even then, that that was at best wishful thinking, but, she wanted to believe that just maybe, when she was the famous mercenary, the "Carnage Queen", that she was cared about...

"Cain!! Do you hear me, you rat!?! I sad get up!"

Oh, right... She was being shouted at in this memory. Who was that?

"....S-Sorry... Cain... s-sorry..."

Right. That was one of her employers. This was probably 60 years ago... No, it was definitely 60 years ago. It was one of the jobs she remembered most fondly.

"Ugh- Don't ******* worry about it... How braindead can you get... Forget it, I've got a job for you again."

"...J-Job...? Cain... j...just...."

"Just got back from a job? Yeah, I can tell."

At the time of this memory, Cain had just gotten back from a rather dangerous mission... She thought. It must've been pretty dangerous since she fondly remembered having been severely injured.

"You almost got caught... You got sloppy. Had I not been there to save your chops you would've been mincemeat."

"...Cain... sorry... didn't think... she'd... make so... so..."

"So much sound? Yeah, whatever. Here's the location."

Here employer of this time wasn't nice to her. Which wasn't anything that would much change with her future employers. Most of them didn't treat her as a human being, no, they simply treated her like their slave, a pawn to be used.

...That was most assassins of this time, though.

"...Cain... body... hurts..."

"Eh? So what? Heal it."

"C-Cain... can't..."

"I said heal it!"

This is why memories like this were buried in the deepest recesses of her mind. They remined her of when she was... nothing. She wanted to believe that she was truly wanted there, but, it was obvious to anybody with a brain that she wasn't wanted. She was a puppet.

"C-Cain is sorry...!! So... So sorry...! Please don't hit me there...! It hurts...! It hurts...!"

And whenever a puppet failed to complete their task, they were beaten. Any particularly deep injuries were prime to be exploited for punishment. One could punch or kick a gash or two she may have had, or stick a pole down her eye-socket, or any number of things. To most people in the assassination business, the "Carnage Queen's" body was completely invincible. It was hard to damage her in the first place, and any wounds that may or may not have caused lasting damage could heal.

"If you don't want to be hit then get off your ass and work!"

Work. Work. Work Work Work...

"Yes...! Cain will work...! Just don't hit here there..."

Her life was work. If she was told to kill someone, she'd kill. If she was told to steal, she'd steal. If she was told to fight, she'd fight.

"Don't hit me... Don't... Don't Don't Don't..."

As she stumbled away that day, battered and beaten, she immediately shifted her attention away from her wounds and to the location that she'd been given. It wasn't much different from other locations she'd been given. A Noble House with some money they wanted to exploit... Specifically, they wanted her to get rid of the children. Supposedly someone needed the kidneys of this particular bloodline to make medicine, and well, the younger, the fresher. It wasn't much different from her usual jobs if not a bit more... morbid.

"...Children..."

She was given an image of her targets. They were one boy, and one girl. Twins. They were probably around 9-12 in terms of age but she wasn't provided with an exact description. Both were blonde, had blue eyes, and were around 5'3. At this point in the memory, Cain felt a wave of both relief and disgust wash over her. On one hand, she was glad she was provided with an accurate description of her targets. On the other hand... they...

"....."

Neither the Cain of the present or the Cain of the past wanted to think about it. Both of them knew that there was a job to do.

"...Cain will... kill...."

Without asking anymore questions, she would move to the location provided. It wasn't much unlike other places she had raided in previous jobs, although, it was far more heavily guarded. Despite the house being gaudy, like most Noble Houses were, it was located in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere, and had what seemed to be a large river surrounding it completely. It was most likely to fight off intruders... And she could sense enemies under the water. Along with that, there were guards in the inner gates of the building, she could hear their breathing and the tempo of their heartbeat. Any sudden movements meant she got caught...

Cain had dove into the water at blinding speeds, instantly spotting any enemies she could find. They were large, incredibly so, they possessed multiple layers of scales and many sets of teeth. She figured she'd read about them somewhere in a book, but, to this day she couldn't actually remember what those weird fish creatures were. Regardless, they were easy to track, but, to them, she was easy to track as well...

"...Cain... blood..."

The scent of her blood made her an easy target for these predators. With her mastery over stealth and infiltration she could enter the water without attracting any attention from the inner guard, but, these creatures were different. The blood that had been pouring from her wounds attracted them and brought them to her at blinding speeds.

"Grrrr...."

First, intimidation. Cain sneered at the beasts, showing her superiority to them. They staggered for a moment, and for that moment, Cain moved forward. There were 6 of the beasts. She took down the first with a swift cut to the nearest artery she could locate, cleaving through its scales. She did the same for the second one, for the third one, she dodged a barbaric charge and hooked a dagger onto the edge of its mouth and cut it in half. The fourth one, seeing the death of its supposed comrades, staggered back in fear once more, allowing Cain to slip into its blind spot and cut into one of the arteries she had located. The fifth one did the same and there went its life... Hesitation meant death, after all.

The sixth one didn't attack at all, clearly preparing to run for its life. It was mere instinct, survival instinct, that is. It desired to preserve its life just as Cain desired to preserve her own life, but, that didn't matter. As soon as it attempted to swim away, Cain launched a dagger at it and pierced it through.

"...Eliminated..."

As soon as she eliminated all of the underwater enemies, without even making a single sound, to the point not even the water and blood dripping from her body could be heard, she scaled the walls that surrounded the house and glanced down... There were soldiers upon soldiers, to many for her to safely kill, especially not with her injuries, which were already healing slowly and had further opened up during her slaughter with the weird fish. She examined the area and looked for any entrances into the main building...

"...One..."

There was a singular entrance. All the doors themselves were closed off, so, she'd need to sneak in through one of the windows. The windows were visibly less reinforced than the doors and they were large enough to the point that they could fit Cain through if she tore off her horns... But first off, she'd need a significant distraction. Cain grabbed her halo and-

"What was that!?!"

One of the guards shouted out as they heard a large explosion coming from behind them, which caused dust and debris to rise into the air. Cain had launched her halo towards them, and the second they turned their head, she dashed into the dust cloud, moving for the window. Mixing the confusion and the sounds caused by the explosion her halo caused along with her own stealth mastery made her practically undetectable to anybody without potent detection abilities, and even then, it would still be hard to detect her.

"...In..."

Cain had gotten in, deciding to simply leave her halo there. If she summoned it back to her it'd completely destroy the window and that'd blow her cover, and it wasn't as if they could steal it from her, so, it was best to simply leave it plunged into the ground so that she could get it back once she fled from the building. She began searching for her target, moving through the floors of the building with blinding speed and stealth to not be detected. Most of the residents were sleeping already, so, waking them up wasn't a concern, and she could take out any of the internal guard without even making a noise before they'd even processed that she entered the building...

Everything was going well. So far, at least... This was one of the jobs Cain remembered so fondly for a reason.

"...Eek...!!"

She'd been attacked by something at speeds she couldn't track, and that compromised her... She had yelped. To this day, she cursed that foolish reaction, a yelp, which blew her cover. But at the time the thing she was most focused on was the thing that attacked her... She was on the top floor of the building, where she figured they'd store the owners of the house and their children, and had been flung into the wall. Assessing her injuries, she instantly figured that she'd been attacked with a bladed, a particularly sharp one, given she'd nearly had her arms cleaved off...

"Impressive, girly... Most would've been killed the moment by blades came in contact with them!"

Cain could hear her opponent's voice, paying no attention to her assertation. Had she had a bit more intelligence at the time, which would've allowed her to more properly process the sentence, she would've agreed, the woman's blade was unnaturally sharp, and she could tell that even though she couldn't see the woman through all the dust and debris that she had rose when she had launched Cain into the wall.

"...Eliminate..."

That was the only word on Cain's mind. Anything else the woman had to say afterwards may as well have been meaningless to Cain. As Cain dashed forward with two enormous daggers in hand, the enemies form was revealed to her.

hYTfHbG.jpg

"Ho Ho! A feisty one!"

The one thing that Cain remembered about this opponent was that she talked to much. She was arrogant, after all, and it was clearly so. In a way, she reminded Cain of Robin and his idiotic arrogance, except this opponent had the strength to back it up... It was clear from her first attack. Had Cain not positioned one of her weapons in front of herself merely moments before the attack had hit her, it would've cleaved right through her.

As Cain went to attack the woman, she said nothing as well. All Cain could see or remember was that arrogant sneer of the woman whose name she didn't even know, and still didn't know. As Cain tried to stab her, it was as if the woman's body was obscured, as if it had bent, refracted, or whatever that mean. Cain tried to shift the direction of her blade to hit her regardless, but, it wasn't a matter of speed, power, or direction, it was a matter of...

"...Position..."

Cain had figured it out.

"A nasty little bugger, aren't you...? Talented, though, for figuring out the secret of my technique by just experiencing it once..."

And the opponent had seen that.

Cain wasted no time in attacking again as the woman's body was obscured. Cain began to pay attention to the way that the woman moved her feet, how she tried to position herself, how she was trying to slip into Cain's blind spots... And she had multiple. Something abhorred. She had to get rid of any blind spots she had, any and all potential blind spots, while managing her own injuries. But that wasn't the only problem...

"...No... No..."

"Looks like you screwed up not taking out the guards, huh girly?"

Cain could hear the guards stumbling up the stairs to hear the commotion of Cain fighting the woman. Cain figured she was also some sort of mercenary, but, that didn't matter. This woman, whose skills in positioning were clearly exceptional, along with the plethora of guards swarming her, would be to much for her to handle, especially in her injured state.

"...Cain... did... bad..."

The job would be a failure because of her. She failed to do it right.

"Cain... did... wrong..."

It reminded her so, so many times, the present Cain, that is. It reminded her of being unable to protect her friends.

Unable to protect Dhei.

Unable to protect Palaria.

Unable to protect Terevion.

Or anybody.

She hated how at this moment in her past, it started. She felt as though she was useless, as though at even the slightest mistake, her entire life could fall apart more than it already had. She couldn't protect anybody.

And she couldn't do what she had to do.

"Grrrr..... AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

And thus, she lashed out. Against the guards that began swarming her, she lashed out. She cut their heads off, removed their limbs, severed their arteries, pumped them full of holes, everything. All while her opponent sat there, her eyes widened, staring at the trail of carnage she created. Even with her own arms nearly severed, Cain didn't stop. These soldiers were strong, and it wasn't just that, they were loyal. They wouldn't give up their mission. One-on-one, she may have had trouble with them... But this was no honorable duel.

And it was a slaughter. With each opponent that came to face her, Cain leapt to them and tore them to shreds. She dodged, she cut, she dodged again, she cut. Dodge, cut, dodge, cut, dodge, cut... She didn't know any Martial Arts. All she knew how to do was dodge and cut. And she'd become the best at it. She became so good at it to the point she even used it as a way to express her own rage... That was why this particular job popped up in her mind.

"Your one freaky girl...."

But then her opponent spoke up just as Cain had finished annihilating the guard, sitting on the ground. Blood and guts covered her, but, she was unbothered by it. She awaited Cain to make her move, her arrogance completely gone... No, what her face now displayed was disgust. Or was it pity? She couldn't remember exactly what it was, but Cain just remembered that it was a negative expression.

"Come on... Let's get this over with..."

But this time, Cain didn't dash forward to kill her. This time, she asked a question, a question she scarcely remembered.

"...why... leave.... die...?"

She wanted to know why the woman left those soldiers to die. She probably could've taken Cain out while she was being occupied with taking out the guard, but, she didn't. She just... sat there and let them die. Let them suffer.

"Because I pitied you."

What?

"You... pity... Cain...?"

"Yeah, I do pity you. I barely know you, and yet, I can tell. You haven't lived the best life, have you?"

Pity?

"I guess I wanted you to have one last win before I killed you, that's all."

She pitied Cain...?

"DON'T... PITY..."

And that angered her beyond belief.

"CAIN... NO NEED PITY...!!"

She dashed forward in a blind flash of rage, but, as soon as she even got close to the woman...

"Goodbye."

The woman spoke to Cain in a soft tone before showering her with a rain of slashes after Cain's dagger seemed to have gone through her body, as if she was made of mist... Cain shifted her position, parrying each and every slash, causing her wounds to continue to open up.

"I... DON'T NEED YOUR PITY!!"

Cain tried to slash at the woman again only for the same thing to happen. Cain's attack seemed to phase through her and she was assaulted with a rain of slashes from all directions. But this time...

"You don't need my pity? Funny."

The woman seemed to... duplicate herself. It was clear they weren't duplicates, just afterimages, but, with each one, the number of slashes doubled, over and over, until the entire room was filled with a storm of blades and debris. Cain desperately parried each attack coming towards her, trying to keep her arms from flying off from the force she was exerting on the already injured limbs. Cain had figured out that what she was doing was merely a trick of masterful positioning. At each step she took, she positioned herself in such a way that she was able to move as if she had phased through Cain's attack. This didn't just apply to that, though. It seemed as though with this she could produce more slashes than what would normally be humanly possible with just wrist movements... Applying this to afterimages seemed to make the ability even more potent.

"Agh!-"

Cain, in a desperate attempt, attempted to replicate this phenomenon. She searched for gaps in the woman's stance constantly, her third eye flicking around the room. Each moment she wasted, another wound would be delivered to her body, and the slower she would become. She attempted to move through the woman's storm of blades and afterimages, slipping into whatever possible blind spot she could... She'd done that plenty of times before, after all, it was the basis of her stealth. Everything in this world possessed blind spots, no matter how small. They could be exploited.

The woman said nothing. Like usual, Cain's attack phased through her and she shifted her position immediately. But Cain was prepared for that. As soon as that woman switched her position, Cain did as well, rapidly adjusting her perception to intercept the woman. She grabbed her by the wrist, breathing out.

"Cain got you-!"

Cain was immediately hit with a roundhouse kick directly to the temple and then a knife to the shoulder, knocking her away from the woman. She allowed herself barely catching the woman to distract her from the whole of the fight, and that left her open to attack... She wouldn't make that mistake again. She would never make that mistake again.

"Just how talented are you...?"

Cain instantly dashed back into combat as the woman spoke, ignoring her worsening injuries. In an instant, she adjusted her position, not to surpass the woman's speed, but to match her. Each time she phased through her attack and delivered a counter-attack, Cain did the same, immediately lining up their momentum in order to make sure she couldn't escape. It was an improvised technique, but, Cain was good at improvising... Regardless, Cain wasn't catching up to the woman's movements any quicker. She could dodge and counter-attack, but, the woman would do the same, and they had reached an equilibrium... For now, at least.

The woman was clearly Cain's superior in every way. Strength, speed, technique, all of it. Cain was on death's door and she was barely keeping up with half-assed improvisations of a technique she'd just experienced for the first time. A single mistake would mean death, and she couldn't allow anymore mistakes. She would never allow anymore mistakes. She continued pushing forward, slowly matching the woman's pace, but, the woman increased her pace, and so did Cain.

Neither of them said anything after that.

The only sound that could be heard from then on would be the sound of metal clashing against metal and blood splashing onto the ground. It was mostly Cain's blood, but, gradually, she was delivering the tiniest of gashes to the woman despite her superior abilities. Even Cain herself could barely remember what happened for the rest of the fight because at the time, all that was on her mind was victory... It hurt her head trying to remember, but, she continued replaying the event in her head. Right.

Cain was slowly closing the gap between herself and the woman. It was slow, but it was happening. As they clashed, Cain continued delivering various gashes around the woman's body. Her strategy was simple... This woman clearly had a talent for positioning. Even if she had learned some specific Martial Arts to master the art, it seemed to be some innate ability she had. That must've been the only way she honed the technique to such perfection. And so... She'd overwhelm that talent.

Cain delivered blow after blow, all in erratic, nearly impossible directions to the woman. Her plan was to simply overwhelm the woman's senses. It was a stamina battle, in a way. Every attack was aimed towards the woman's vital points as Cain aligned her strikes to target them, slowly picking up the rate at which she attacked. The woman was clearly getting overwhelmed, soon, Cain would win. But she hadn't been paying attention to her own injuries.

Cain's arms flew off. They had been barely hanging on by the tiniest muscle threads the entire time, and finally, those threads snapped. Her arms flew off, leaving her open to attack for a split-second, causing the woman to deliver a combo of attacks. A slash to the stomach, a kick to the legs, a punch to the neck, all in order, and all at blinding speeds. Once again, Cain was sent flying...

The woman wasted no time in her execution of Cain. After all, there was nothing left to say for either of them. The battle had long since surpassed mere words and devolved into mere steel and blood. Anything she could've said to Cain would've been meaningless at that point, and Cain realized that, even to this day. In a way, saying nothing was the woman's respect...

Cain wouldn't give up though.

In a flash, she bit into one of her severed arms and counter-attacked with the dagger it held along with her very own horns, slamming into the woman's face. In a burst of fury, she summoned daggers, attaching them to the stumps in her arms, effectively giving her three weapons as the woman regained her bearings after having been hit in the face at staggering force.

Cain didn't let up for a single moment and instantly continued her assault, while the woman regained her bearings and instantly went back into the fight, spitting out some blood, clearly having a lethal concussion. Cain delivered a cut to her side, which she barely dodged, only to be met with a cut from the other side, but the woman counter-attacked with the same move, adding a combo of punches and kicks along with it.

Cain barely dodged and parried the combo, delivering various gashes to the woman's fists and legs at the same time, aiming for various veins. The woman was smart, though. She jumped back mere moments before Cain could catch any of her arteries and immediately jumped back in, trying to catch Cain off-guard. That wouldn't happen, though. Cain's third eye went bloodshot and she instantly dashed forward for a counter-attack.

The blade plunged into the stump of her right arm clashed with one of the blade's the woman held in her fingers, shattering it. The woman was clearly anticipating that, though. She expertly aimed her dagger before it was destroyed to make sure the shards flew towards her, trying to blind Cain, specifically in her third eye. Cain jumped back and summoned various daggers in the air, telekinetically launching them at the woman, which she promptly dodged. But, Cain instantly changed their position, sending the daggers flying towards the woman from all directions.

The woman swiftly parried the daggers with her sword, shattering them. But, Cain telekinetically controlled the shards, sending the miniscule pieces flying towards the woman as well. With the enormous sword, she expertly parried each and every last shard, displaying ungodly precision with the blade, but, Cain used this opportunity to jump in while she was distracted, trying to run her through...

And she was successful. Somewhat.

Cain ran her through with the dagger attached to her left arm stump, but, she was also pierced in a wound she'd had in her stomach. It was one of the wounds that she couldn't heal before going on this job, the job before it. The woman chuckled as she kicked Cain away, causing her dagger to move upward a bit, cutting into a vital organ.

"I guess I go down with this... But I'm taking you with me."

The woman said, still standing tall. It didn't even seem as though this wound affected her as she clenched the muscles around the area, stopping the bleeding. Cain's eyes widened, wondering how the woman was able to do that... Cain tried to do so as well, except, she was inexperienced in controlling her body in such a way, so, trying just wasted stamina.

"How about it? One final bout, you freak. Come on, you won't die from this."

The woman said, waiting for Cain's next attack. Cain nodded.

"Cain coming..."

Cain dashed forward once more, and the woman met her. Once again, the steel of their blades clashed. Cain tried to deliver a slash to the woman's neck, which was promptly dodged, only for the woman to deliver another combo of punches and kicks. Most of them hit Cain, opening up more of her wounds, but, she was able to at least get some glancing blows onto the woman's legs and hands. That doesn't mean the woman wasn't able to continue to injure Cain. It seemed as if she was punching and kicking at the same time she was slashing... Which was weird, but, it wasn't outside the realm of possibility. Cain jumped back to avoid injury, sending some daggers telekinetically flying towards her, which the woman dodged instead of breaking them, charging Cain, slamming her into the wall.

"Come on! That's not all you got, right!?"

Cain roared, biting through her own arm which was in her mouth and biting into the woman's face, tearing out a chunk of her teeth, revealing her inner mouth and jaw. The woman was unbothered by this though, and simply slammed Cain through the wall, sending both of them flying out of the building and flying into the water that surrounded the gates. Cain continued to try and bite chunks out of her, but, the woman pushed Cain off of her and tackled her into the water, slamming the back of Cain's head into the bottom of the water.

Cain retaliated to the barbarism with a punch to the gut, sending her flying out of the water as Cain launched herself out of the water as well, crashing against the woman and sending both of them into the outer wall, caving it in as Cain slammed the woman's head into the back of the wall, again, and again, and again...

"AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

She shouted out, continuing to slam the woman's head into the wall. She kept doing it for what seemed like forever, and she had to do it by hooking her teeth into the woman's skull due to her current lack of arms. She kept doing it so many times that it made her nauseous, but, the woman was dead. She'd been long dead, and with a smile on her face had any of it remained, but, Cain didn't stop until she was thoroughly satisfied, just continuing to cave in the woman's head until there was nothing left, letting herself fall into the water afterward.

"Haa... Ha..."

Cain slowly climbed out of the water, letting the woman's body rot with the fish monsters she'd previously killed. Slowly, she climbed back into the top floor of the building by stabbing the daggers attached to the stumps in her arms into the walls, using them to fling herself back into the area. She looked around, desperately searching for her targets... The two Twin Siblings. They must've been hiding somewhere.

"Ha...! Gra...! Where...? Where!?"

Cain thrashed around, looking for where they may have been before finding a closet and slowly opening it... In the closet, there they lay with their parents, trembling at the sight of Cain. The two parents, a mother and father, obviously, were terrified, terrified of Cain, terrified that their bodyguard had supposedly lost. But the children themselves seemed to be almost oblivious to what was going on...

"Mommy, daddy, who is she?"

The girl asked, causing Cain to flinch.

"Please... Please, don't kill them... Their just kids... Please... Please..."

The mother begged, trembling as she held her son and daughter.

But Cain wasn't listening.

"No!!! NO!!!"

The husband shouted out as Cain decapitated the mother, letting her head fly into the air. Her eyes were completely bloodshot, clouded with a sense of bloodlust as she removed the father's head from his shoulders swiftly. The children froze, unable to react. They didn't know what to say. Their parents had been murdered faster than they could react, and-

They swiftly came next.

Cain cut both of them by the neck, instantly ending both of their lives. She wasted no time in stabbing the knives attached to her arm stumps into their heads, dragging them as she ran from the scene, calling her halo back to her finally. She moved as fast as humanly possible, trying not to leave a trail of blood....

....And that was where the memory ended.

Cain trembled, black electricity beginning to crackle around her. "Just forget it... You did what you had to do... I need to clear my head... I should go ask someone to spar..."

(Shall I timeskip now?)

Dhei heard the explosions and stared at them with a blank face for a moment

"Dont want to know of that one...."

Shortly after he got himself to the river and pulled his hood off to clean his face and refresh himself, only to stare down at the reflection of the water shining from the full moon in the sky immediately after

It made Dhei touch his face, specifically his teeth and soon looking at his nails coming of his fingers, he wished for a more human appearance to have in his human form, especially when the group defeated the Tower Knight, yet only thing changed was his height which he didnt really need to have

"Dhei."

Cain called out to Dhei, moving up to him while in Demon Form, not really caring if anybody noticed at this point. Black electricity crackled around her as her halo spun at her side.

"Fight me."

She asked blankly.

(Well you can't timeskip now me and BD are finna throw hands lol.)
"Huh....what?!"

Responded when he heard and processed the information from Cain mouth

"What is that all of a sudden? Im still dreaming?"
"Fight. I want to fight. Or well... spar, is the better word. I want to spar." Cain said, "To clear my head."

"Your the closest person around. If you don't want to, I can go ask Goliath, though. It's entirely your choice." Cain said with a smile.

(I'll let Cain vs Dhei happen first...)

(Until then...)

Meanwhile...

The grand looming corridors of moonlight striking through windows came down, had the tanned bald man not known any better he'd think those beaming pure red eyes looking at him were ones of an enemy

"What is it you want, Blightcaller?" The man asked as a fairly large man stepped into the moonlight of the window

"Why are those cultists playing games with ending them?" "Blightcaller" asked, his clothes being dried out in color, even his skin was a grayish white instead of pure white, but his beard moved with his words, that was closer to a threat then an actual question

"They are simply powerful. Stronger forces will have to be sent against them to combat them, Nathanos." The man said calmly, not seeming to particularly care about Nathanos's veined threat

"Then move them out. I will be visiting our... guests in Eastern Olatia." Nathanos responded, his voice echoing just from the voice itself, not the halls as he walked past the man

"...He may help them at some point." The man thought as he continued going where he was going...

...

"Miserable wretch." Nathanos muttered as he entered a room with one heavily robed individual in it "I want to have a portal to these coordinates." Nathanos said, the figure nodding and whispering something as a portal opened which he stepped through with a wave of thanks.

Boots in the snow, the moonlight above him, Nathanos Blightcaller was a name spoken with fear among nobles, a powerful force to be reckoned with who has taken the lives of many among them, although his affiliations, even among the cults, are unclear, but now he moved towards his destination...

Marcus wasn't sure, he approached Palaria's sleeping body.

"I just want to take a look, after all, you did it to me before and I don't want something bad to happen to you with Malak magic inside you" Mark said in a very, very low voice, as he put his left hand near Palaria's head, a rune appeared on that hand and began to Project Palaria's dream to Mark, it was a spell that his father used to verify that his children were asleep and had sweet dreams, Rashek is very overprotective after all

Palaria's mind was... chaotic, to say the least, besides the two other minds and souls out and about Palaria's dream was a real nightmare which only had fire, snow, and blood

Kaminos and Epithymia returned, and he began to put his armor back on and grab his weapons. Epithymia began to scribble down notes to make the missiles even more efficient.

"I'm gonna go explore the surrounding area..." Kaminos said, "I'm bored again, and I want something to do...."
