"...not very good, I feel myself worsening." Palaria said honestly, sighing out
Cain sighed out as well, "Do you need me to get you some food...? Or water...?"

"Sure... thanks, Cain... and I'm sure Para." Palaria said, beginning to gently smile a little
"Alright! I'll be back!"

Cain dashed out of the house for about 6 seconds, violently tore some fish from the water, and then returned with the fish perfectly skinned and cut into pieces, and cooked due to the heat and friction caused by how fast she was moving. (Because Mach 11 is fast as ****.) She transformed her hands into her enormous demon hands so she could hold all of them.

"And I'm back!"

"Sorry I couldn't add any seasoning or whatever... I'm... not the best cook... the only stuff I could produce for you would probably come from the salt in my blood anyway..." Cain murmured, chuckling awkwardly.

Eredna would stare at Alex sleeping out briefly, with his eyes glowing red as he looked at her
Vampire-Knight-by-Matsuri-Hino.-Red-glowing-eyes,-character-.gif

"Curious....to know more....about you...miss....Alexandra...."

A squirrel would pass nearby his feet, to whom he scratches with his nail of his index finger on the torso quick enough to leave a light bleeding scar, the animal leaves afterwards scared, although Eredna would be licking the blood slowly off of his nail

"It's fine... I'm used to it..." Palaria said in response, trying to encourage Cain
"Well... Just because your used to something doesn't mean you don't deserve better, Palaria... You... taught me that, I guess." Cain said with a smile, "I know it isn't a big deal, but, I just want to do more for you when your... feeling bad. We're friends, after all."

Dhei would be dreaming about his past not long after he fell asleep, it would the scene where he is about to lose his mother soon, although as of now it would be just the moments before that event occuring

Mark moved from his chair, he mistrusted Eredna, and he wasn't sure he should leave his sister there sleeping with that "thing" outside.

The dark sorcerer walked to see Palaria, he was worried about her condition and thought to check her up to see how she was doing.

"Palaria can I pass?" Mark said from the other side

"Sir we received a message from a bird, it says on it to be for you"

Came one of the soldiers to give him the tied piece of paper as he says that, Eredna will take it to open it out and read

Looking over the whole thing made Eredna midway through the reading change his expression to that of an annoyed person, along tightening his grip on the paper he held

"Is it from a village nearby from where the messenger was sent?"

"Yes, estimated to be half a day away sir, should we move right away our unit and leave the current mission?"

"No! This isnt even a task that requires my personal presence over such an insignificant event! I have no time to spend for so long there, i have more important matters currently here!!"

"But sir, we cannot simply ignore it either, if word gets to one of nobles about this, we face severe punishment!"

Eredna thought a little about it as he looked over the message again, before delivering an answer to his man

"It doesnt specifically say it requires someone of my rank, just that it needs the assistance of someone of a high rank, therefore soldier i assign you with full authority over my absence to the said village, i entrust you to do a good job at taking my place"

"Yes sir! I promise i will not disappoint with such a huge honor given sir!"

"Good....expect no less of you soldier, when the sun rises you guide the unit over the place"

He would slice his wrist with one nail to sign with the blood over the paper before handing it to the man

"Show them my signature that i have given you my permission to take lead, those who oppose it would face my punishment for disobeying, let that be understood!"

"Yes sir! I will excuse myself now, have a good night!"

"Same to you soldier"

Afterwards he sighs, he needed some rest to cool his mind off after this, as such Eredna closes his eyes as he stood with arms crossed taking a nap

Goliath stood to his feet, folding his arms as he looked around the camp. He glanced at Palaria's room, tempting to check on her himself, but shook his head.

"...Never been good at that kind of thing. Best to leave it to...Mark and Cain." He thought. He folded his arms, turning his attention toward the rest of the camp. His eyes lingered on Eredna and his soldiers for a moment, before turning away. Looking around more, he noticed that the...demonic man had set up some kind of alchemy workshop near the edge of the camp. He began to walk toward the man, wanting to question him.

Lazarus looked up at the man. He pulled up his hood, sightly obscuring his face.

"...You need something, giant?" Lazarus said, his voice slightly raspy. He was heavily medicated now, giving him a calm, unthreatening demeanor. However, this was somewhat in contrast to his demonic appearance.

"....You...gave...Palaria...health potions...right?" Goliath said, he folded his arms.

"....I gave the girl a few tonics, yes. They don't seem to be doing much good, though." Lazarus said, only half paying attention to the man. He continued to stir ingredients within a small pot, crafting some kind of health potion.

"....Why?" Goliath said gruffly, he sat down in front of Lazarus, staring at him for a few moments.

"...What...do...you gain...from...this?" He asked.

"...It's beneficial to me, if that girl stays alive. If I can help with that, then I will." Lazarus said. He grabbed one of the potions from the ground, gulping it down before putting the empty bottle back down.

Goliath looked at the man for a moment, clearly dissatisfied with the answer, but shook his head.

"...You... don't plan...to harm...anyone?" He asked.

"...Our goals are the same, giant. Should this group continue to offer me shelter and the opportunity for revenge...then I will keep supporting you as I can." He said.

Goliath stared at the man for a moment. As if weighing his options. He was definitely suspicious, but didn't seem to be outright malicious.

"...Good..." Goliath muttered.

He stood up, beginning to move away.

"Before you go…do you mind giving him some of your flesh?"

Goliath looked at the man for a moment, raising an eyebrow.

"….What?" Goliath said bluntly.

Lazarus looked up at Goliath, idly scratching his dry skin.
"Trying to figure out a way to gain muscle mass. I figured if I had a sample of flesh that was…muscular, I could somehow find a way to mix it into my potions. Hopefully." Lazarus said. His tone was calm, as if what he was asking was a perfectly normal favor.

"… Can't you use…a beast…instead?" Goliath asked gruffly.

Lazarus shook his head.

"If what in planning will work, it has to be a human. You…are a human, right?" Lazarus said, cocking his head as he glanced at Goliath.

Goliath glared at the man, before sighing.

"…Yes." Goliath said gruffly. Something about the question made him slightly uncomfortable, and his body visibly tensed as he stared at the man.

"Good. Then all I'll need is about a handful of muscle tissue, and I'll have all I need." Lazarus said. A small cackle escaped his lips, glad he could find a match for his experiment.

Goliath glared at the man, before sighing.

"…find someone else." Goliath said gruffly. He turned to leave.

"W-wait!" Lazarus screeched. He stood up, inadvertently knocking over a few potions he had been working on, the liquid spilling onto the soil.
Goliath slowly turned around, glaring at the man.

"If…if this experiment works. It…it could be a…huge step forward for my treatment." Lazarus said. Desperation dripped from every word, as black blood flowed from his mouth.

Goliath regarded the man for a long while, saying nothing. He didn't know this man, nor did he want him to stay around. He was suspicious, and his madness made him…unpredictable. Whether the man recovered or even lived was none of his concern.

And yet…leaving the man like this left a bad taste in his mouth. He had seen more than enough of his fill of desperate men. If all this man needed was a bit of flesh…he had no reason to say no. It would regenerate in time, and he had survived far worse wounds in the past.

Slowly, he sat down, his legs crossed as he stared at Lazarus.

"…take…what you…need." Goliath said wearily.

Lazarus blinked. He had figured the man would simply walk away regardless. It wouldn't be the first time his pleas for help had been denied, after all. It was all too easy for people to see him as…less than human because of his appearance. Something unworthy of help or consideration. Feared at best, hated at worst.

"…thank you…Giant." Lazarus said. He cackled with excitement. Slowly, he reached into his pocket dimension, producing a large, jagged knife.

"….Wait…" Goliath said.

Lazarus looked back up at him. A brief feeling of worry overtook him.

"…yes?" He asked.

"…Let me cut it…myself." Goliath murmured.

Lazarus sighed in relief. Slowly, he handed the man the knife, the sharp blade reflecting a bit of light as the sun shined onto it. Goliath grabbed the knife from him, examining it for a few moments.

"…This… isn't poisoned?" He asked, looking back at Lazarus.

Lazarus shook his head, cackling slightly.

"…That knife has…sentimental value. I make sure to wash it whenever it's used." Lazarus said.

Goliath nodded. Slowly he brought the knife to his arm.

"Wait…I can give a poison that dulls nerve endings. It should decrease the pain you'll feel…" Lazarus said.

"….Save it for someone else." Goliath said bluntly. In one brief, quick motion, he plunged it into his flesh, blood immediately flying from the open wound. He grimaced, but otherwise didn't react as the pain traveled through his body like a raging fire. With another burst of movement, he sliced the knife through his skin, carving a sizable portion of his bicep open. Dropping the knife, he simply tugged on the remaining skin, holding the thick muscle in his hand.

"….This good?" Goliath asked gruffly. He held out the chunk of flesh.

Lazarus hesitated for a moment, before letting out a loud, deranged cackle. Immediately, he scooped the flesh into his hands, looking it over. He held it up to the light, inadvertently covering his hands and face with some of Goliath's blood.

"This…is…PERFECT!" He yelled. He looked back at the man, giving him an intense, sharp grin.

"…you have done me a service, Giant. Thank you."

"….If…you want to thank…me. Use…my name…" Goliath said. He sighed, covering the wound with his uninjured hand. It would take at least an hour to fully heal on its own.

"I'm called…Goliath." He added.

Lazarus cackled, before nodding.

"…Thank you, Goliath." He said. He bowed, genuine appreciation in his voice.

Goliath sighed. Being bowed to…was certainly a new experience for him. His mouth twitched, almost forming a tight smile.

"… it's fine, Lazarus. Hope…that helps." He muttered.

Lazarus nodded eagerly.

"…it will take a while to gather the…right ingredients. But when I do…it should increase the potency of my medicine. In theory, anyway…" Lazarus said. He scratched his arm, blow slowly flowing from parts of his cracked skin.

"…Good." Goliath said. Slowly he stood up, still clutching his injured arm.

"…let me know…if you need…any more help…" Goliath muttered. He turned away, walking back to where he was sitting.

Lazarus nodded. Slowly, he placed the large chunk of flesh into his pocket dimension, preserving it for later use. Moving to his alchemy station, he continued to craft what he had been working on.

"Yes, you may come in Mark..." Palaria murmured

Terevion finished cooking a meal and brought a large pot of a soup of some kind into the group, the door just being opened telekinetically by Palaria and left without saying a word to go serve himself and wait for the characters outside who weren't asleep to come get some

Mark quickly grabbed a plate, then walked into the room and sat down next to Palaria, not saying a word as he sampled the soup, not moving his head, watching Palaria out of the corner of his eye.

"It's good... this soup" he try to start a conversation with Palaria

"Alright... Still, I'll let you two have some alone time, and you can always call me back if you need something. Maybe you two can even... do that... thing? The uh... the horn thing... with the uh... the white stuff... and explosions... You know what I'm talking about...!" Cain murmured.

"I'm not worried Cain, also there are others in here, and even if they weren't just... no." Palaria said, drinking the liquid of her soup and eating the meat and veg quickly before laying down

"No? Isn't it supposed to pleasurable? Why wouldn't you want to do it? Especially with Mark... Aren't you two... extra, extra close...?" Cain asked, confused.

"No? Isn't it supposed to pleasurable? Why wouldn't you want to do it? Especially with Mark... Aren't you two... extra, extra close...?" Cain asked, confused.
"We'd both need to be in the mood for it, and my physical state taking a node dive kind of just... removes the possibility." Palaria explained

"Mood... so there's a specific mood...? Interesting... Achieving my Cain Army has become a bit more complicated..." Cain murmured before nodding.

"Alright. Just get some rest, alright?" She said, thinking that she probably shouldn't continue this conversation.

"I'm definitely not the best person to explain it..." Palaria murmured

"By the way Cain, would you be interested in some... unorthodox magic?" Palaria asked

Mark just held his laugh, before such talk that was generated, he had a little blush but it was barely visible only to Palaria, clearly Cain's attitude about sex and her Cain army plan seemed childish.

"She'll suck him dry," he murmurd in a frequency few could hear unless they was by his side.

"I'm definitely not the best person to explain it..." Palaria murmured

"By the way Cain, would you be interested in some... unorthodox magic?" Palaria asked
"Magic? I'm... not a mage, Palaria." Cain said, stopping before she left to turn to Palaria. "What's this all about?"

"Magic? I'm... not a mage, Palaria." Cain said, stopping before she left to turn to Palaria. "What's this all about?"
"Since I think you are human, you need to have two runes, first one is definitely Warrior, but Mage was much harder to figure out. It doesn't take a genius to know you likely don't have the intelligence to truly learn magic, however I think I could "grant" you the capability of using basic elements other than fire." Palaria said, wanting to at least try it with Cain to help her

"...Wait, so I was using magic? I thought I could just set stuff on fire... I didn't know that was magic..." Cain murmured before shaking her head. "Well... If you can do that, I'd be grateful, Palaria...!"

"Honestly at first I mistook it for your weapons being enchanted, now come here, I can't exactly do this at a range." Palaria said, clearly beyond happy to make herself useful

"Alright! Should I stay in my more... "human" form or does it not matter?" Cain asked as she moved closer to Palaria.

"I probably have a transfer artifact to suit your style, allowing non-magicals to use magical powers." Mark said after Palaria, remembering when he "borrowed" some things from his father's library several years ago, he guessed his father didn't care.

"I don't know your biology, Cain, but this should be capable of at least sticking in both." Palaria said, glancing at Mark and silently saying that Cain was very magical before she reached out to put a hand on Cain's stomach, closing her eyes and she got to work integrating more easy use of magic for Cain, although it was only the basics, it still would be a true improvement to Cain's versatility

Cain smiled as Palaria did this, able to feel a slight difference but she didn't really understand it. "I feel... different, I guess. What'd you do exactly?"

"Basically, I intwined Water, Earth, Air, Ice, Light, Darkness, and Electricity magic into the same place you get your fire from. Ah..." Palaria murmured, that seeming to take what was left out of her as she slumped back
