Ragnarök-RP Thread

Lance nodded.

"I'll try not to cause you too much trouble..." He said to Metatron.

Masayoshi stared at the train for a moment, visible confusion on her face.

"...What would happen if this...train, was destroyed? Could we try that instead of going inside ourselves?" She asked.

David glanced at Kiara, noticing the blood dripping from her fist. He breathed out, pushing his own mental anguish to the back of his mind as he spoke.

"...are you alright, Kiara...?" David asked.

Jack looked at this Train, he had had hours of fighting inside and barely survived, but that is the nature of that place, the strongest survive.

"It's like coming home, only you're not welcomed by the people who love you instead by crazy people with chainsaws trying to kill you" Jack thought ready for action

Okita drew her blade, releasing a casual slash at the train. The wind pressure of her slash hit the train, splitting the ground beneath her open and creating a loud banging sound, only for the wind to be shot back at her, hitting her right in the face.

"As you can see, it reflects attacks." Okita turned back and said to Masayoshi, her face marked with a large scar that swiftly healed itself, wiping the blood on her face with her kimono.

"I'm fine," Kiara said to David. A blatant lie, but a lie she made herself believe.

The entrance appeared on its own, a portion of the train tearing itself off and simply disappearing, black, pulsing, thick liquid oozing from the creases in the monstrous structure.

"Corruption..." Gabriel murmured, looking at the violent distortion in space that was the entrance with crossed arms, her 6-wings sprouting out.

Masayoshi glanced at the train, slowly examining the thick ooze.

"...I guess Adam had a hand in this as well..." Masayoshi muttered. She began to channel light magic into her hands' creating an aura of light that would work to repel small amounts of corruption.

David glanced at the structure, silently walking closer as he stuck close to Masayoshi.

Lance would stick close to Metatron, wearily glancing at the ooze as he moved behind the angel.

"Expect waves of enemies..." Okita warned as they entered.

Inside the train was, to put it bluntly, an incredibly desolate wasteland. The ground below them was gray and cracked, devoid of moisture. Any sign of plant or animal life lay dead in the distance, which was coated in an incredibly dense mist, soft groaning able to be heard in the distance.

Kiara was the first to move forward, producing condensed explosions in her feet to dash forward.

"K-Kiara-! Damnit..." Rory sighed, moving forward as well. She hadn't recovered enough power to be doing this right now...

David silently began to sprint forward behind Kiara, hoping he could take his mind off of what had happened. He breathed out, his stamina had barely recovered from his severely injured state previously, but he hoped it would be enough. Thanks to Cullthane’s potion, he was in fighting shape, at least.

Masayoshi sighed, hovering above the ground as she glanced around the area. She began channeling wind magic, hoping to clear a path through the mist as she slowly began to walk forward.

"...Just how strong are these enemies, Okita? Should we be concerned?"

"At first, it'll be easy... But the enemies get progressively stronger the more you kill. When you kill them, they multiply, and the more they multiply the stronger they get." Okita said, "But there's always a big bad- Hey, girl!!" Okita shouted to Kiara, catching up with her and cutting something in half before she could react, black chunks flying everywhere, Okita pulling her back.

"Duplication and strength enhancement..." Masayoshi murmured, deep in thought. She glanced back towards the woman, just in time to see her cut some unidentified creature into pieces.

"was that one of the "demons", you were talking about?" She asked.

David stopped his run, standing behind the two women.

"...She's fast..." David thought, his eyes shifting to Okita before looking down at the black chunks.

Rhongomyniad teleported forward and tried to physically push Kiara back even further

"You haven't recovered enough power for this, you could harm your kid!" Rhongomyniad said, her voice strained

Terevion walked evenly with Gabriel's pace while Yharon transformed and flew into the sky to scan the surrounding area, Imperius rushing to take the front line against the corruption

"Sounds like we need to crush it!" Imperius called out

"Yes..." Okita said to Masayoshi, the black chunks beginning to writhe and expand.

"I'll be fine, Rhongo, really," Kiara said, pushing Rhongomyniad off of her with a forced smile. "I've fought in worse conditions... And the kid has been fine so far."

"Wait, she's pregnant...?" Kinzer murmured, scanning the area himself.

"Like I was saying, there's usually some 'big bad' or some excessively stronger beast lying around... When we kill that, the train usually lets us out, but, there have been cases where that's not the case and we have to find something else..." Okita murmured, the black chunks breaking out of Masayoshi's chains and trying to violently latch onto her with extreme force.

"I'd suggest against trying to kill the things for now, then..." Gabriel murmured, "We don't want them to just keep duplicating." She said, prepared to help Masayoshi if she could not deal with it herself.

"I may have an idea of what such a "something else" is..." Cullthane said to Gabriel telepathically, charging her with his magical power and fully restoring her mana, Terevion aiming down the sights with his pistol, Yharon landing, and Rhongomyniad readying her healing

(sorry about inactivity, feeling sick today)

Kajo would telekinetically grab onto the black chunks, before throwing them far away from Musayoshi. As soon as it was far away, the fireballs that she had created would throw themselves onto the chunks, creating a massive explosion.

Kiara, after confirming there were no more enemies around, dashed forward once again. "This is to peaceful..." She thought. This place was not dangerous, or well, it was, but it was to easy. There had to be something else, something they were being led to.

"Kiara, quit running off...!" Rory said as she dashed with her wife, "What's wrong?"

"I'm sensing something... Not something demonic or evil. Two presences." Kiara said, "Maybe my senses are just really keen right now..."

Masayoshi floated forward, following behind the rest.

"Is it possible the train is tricking us somehow? We should be careful..." She said, amplifying her senses with magic until she could sense the two beings.

David shrugged, unsure what was going on as he began to jog after Kiara.

"Hope it ain't civilians or anything." He murmured to himself. He shook his head, wondering if it even mattered at this point. They would all disappear regardless. Sighing heavily, he picked up the pace, his jog turning into a sprint as he dashed behind Kiara.

"It's possible, but..." Kiara murmured, "Whatever."

She would stop running at what seemed to be some sort of cave, with purple and pink lights swirling around it. It was mostly sealed off, so, maybe someone was trapped in there?

Kiara burst down the entrance with a single attack, Gabriel walking in first.

"Adam..." She murmured, "What did you leave for me again...?"
