Ragnarök-RP Thread

Draedon, as if on que came online to make a report

"Currently Shalor and his group are attempting to wrap things up with the singularity, and currently are doing well at that." Draedon reported clearly
"Really...? That's... Good. Good for them." Belial said, rubbing his head. "I wish they'd get back sooner... I wanna see Shalor again." Belial thought.

"Belial, what exactly is wrong? Besides Shalor being away, you'll be happy to know I'm working on something to allow short bursts of communication between yourself and Shalor from where you are, otherwise it's strictly within my lab that I can get any good connection to speak." Draedon said

"Ha... That sounds really nice. Thanks, Draedon." Belial said, his voice a little barren. "But me and David have some business we need to take care of."

"Your business can wait until I know what's wrong. I have medical authority over pretty much everyone- including you." Draedon said, his optics flashing a darker blue
Belial sighed, "It's just... My head is jumbled up, and by default, my memories. At the beginning of this... 'business', I had to do something risky to move forward, and this whole plague deal isn't helping my mental state."

"That sounds like what happens when a bit of ones essence is removed. There's nothing I can do for it at a distance, and I'd have to get Relanak's assistance in the matter, which I'll do immediately." Draedon responded and immediately contacted Relanak, speaking in a quiet enough voice to where he couldn't be heard

"Good," Belial said as Rory crossed her arms, she walked over to him and grabbed his arms. "Huh, mom-" Rory then cut Belial off by chopping him on the neck, knocking him out.

"Have a nice rest, hun." She said before pulling out a hospital bed and placing him on it, next to Nightingale. "If the chance arises and Belial wakes up, mind letting him talk to Shalor, Draedon? He needs that." Rory asked.

"Thanks, you're a lifesaver," Rory said. The Director stroked his beard, "The boy carries a deep burden... I wonder what he will turn in to if it is not alleviated." He thought to himself.

Rory turned to David, "Let's get this over with."

The group walked through the building for a few minutes, "Uh, Ms. Rory?" Lamia spoke to Rory. "Yes?" She responded, "I-Is Belial always so... Cynical? And sad?" Rory looked forward, "Cynical... Yeah. But that's just how he is. Sad? Yeah, sometimes." Lamia whimpered a bit.

"I can tell he is extraordinarily powerful... My parents always taught me that the strongest are the happiest because they can protect the most people, but..." Rory gave Lamia a pat on the head.

"Belial is very strong, yes. Stronger than anybody here, surely, including me for now. But when you're strong you... Hurt a lot of people. And you get hurt easily if that makes sense." Lamia tilted her head.

"I guess that makes sense... He seems in pain." Rory smiled, "You remind me a lot of my daughter, Lamia. Her name is Gabriel... I'm sure she'd love to be you're friend." Lamia smiled, "W-Well, I'd love to be Gabriel's friend...!"

"Ho Ho, you're quite good with children, 6th!" The Director said cheerfully. Rory chuckled, "Is that what we're calling me now?" The group soon arrived at a large door.

“Rory right about the power thing. Power can’t buy happiness. thats a lesson I've learned…from a long time of searching for strength.”

“I’m probably the weakest guy here, but as long as I can be with the person I care about…and protect who I need to, I try to stay happy…ya know? Some people…are just beyond saving…even with all the power in the world” David said this last part with a hint of sadness in his voice.

“…anyway! Looks like where here! Let’s see what we can do with this infected guy”

Rory nodded and opened the large door, which revealed a metal box that contained the infected within it, with a small hole for the syringe. "Pretty... Uh, weird way to contain something." Rory said.

Kiara held the syringe and walked up to the large container, prepared to inject it straight in. It must have been pretty large because she could feel the box stretching due to the beast's size.

"Here I go..." Kiara said as she began to plunge it in only to stop before hitting the hole, "Huh?" Kiara pressed her ear against the box. "Uh, babe, you doing alright?" Rory asked.

"This thing... It's talking." Kiara said. "R-really? Does that mean it isn't fully turned?" Lamia ran up, pressing her ear against the box as well. "Yeah... Even with my sensitive hearing, I can barely hear it though..."

"I don't know..." Kiara said as the box began to violently tremble and shake, "Everybody, get back!" Lamia summoned her trident, clearly prepared for situations like this as the infected man sprung out of the box.

"Wait! Lamia, don't kill it." Rory said as she ran up to the beast as it wobbled around. "W-why!?" Rory gently grabbed Lamia's trident, "It isn't attacking us... Just calm down." Lamia took a few seconds to breathe.

"If you say so..."

David stepped in front of Lamia.

“until this man attacks anyone, he’s an innocent person. We aren’t attacking it” he David said, looking at the group, his eyes hard.

David turned back towards the creature and took a step towards it.

“Hey. Can you understand what I’m saying? If you can’t talk, just nod or somethin” David said, looking at the masked creature. His tone was calm, but it was clear he was uneasy.

"...Alright. If things get funny, I'm stabbing it," Lamia said, her trident dissipating.

The beast raised its hand and slammed its finger into the ground as if it was trying to write. It messily began to write the word 'Hi' so poorly that you probably wouldn't even be able to tell that's what it wrote.

“….uh…huh” David said, looking at the scribble on the ground in confusion.

“seems like he’s trying to communicate…so he’s still a person alright” David thought.

“Hello!” He said to the creature, hoping he had written some kind of greeting.

“I have great news for you my man! Me and my friends may have a cure for your current condition! If you could stand still for a second, we could give it to ya! “ David said enthusiastically.
