One Piece Discussion Thread #6

I have an idea for an Island called Dragon island, the Strawhats visit it because Luffy wants to know what a Dragon tastes like, or he wants to ride it. As they explore the island and learn about Dragons from the local legends they eventually find out that the island is named that way because the Island itself is shaped like the head of a dragon.

Actually, considering that one filler arc I can't remember and the Grand Line is mess up to the extreme like an island like Rusukaina with 48 seasons that changes every week, we could have them exploring and adventuring in other dimensions, like a gender-bend dimension peharps. Would be interesting to see the SH reactions to that, especially Sanji (would he proceed to hit on himself/herself).

Or alternative universes like how the The Darker World fanfiction show. Would be interesting to see Luffy reactions to an evil (but still affable) Shanks who burn his counterpart's hometown and killed Makino. This is why One Piece is amazing, there is so much possibilties within it.

Thinking about alternative universes colliding with each other makes me think about what'd Luffy think about his darker self.

There's also a spanish fanfic that makes Luffy more mature and knows how to use Conqueror's Haki since the beginning. It's a LuNa's fanfic as well, but it's good anyways (take note: I personally don't find LuNa a good pairing).

Maybe someone with like a really OP devil fruit but then they died after messing with their powers and changed the reality around an island, leading to some of those islands you thought of.

After the introduction of the Time-Time Fruit, that is a high possibility.right there.

There have been more Time Travel fics than I can count long before that fruit was actually canon.

It's something I off handily heard but yeah some even joked that with the time fruit that became more possible Kek

Well, I heard that Rayleigh is Future Zoro. Apparently the Toki Toki no Mi mirrors the character before activating its powers...

It'd be better if I could separate both images but without a proper photoshop software I can't. Maybe in the future.

That's cool man no worries

I have one of them on it's own but sadly I couldn't find the second one by itself

Yeah since you are Spanish I was interested in how you'd react. But that makes sense kinda like how English is for English speakers

The old man is funny, but even I had problems understanding what he was trying to say.

But he was talking something about the bay, so it's a little pirate-related if you stretch things a bit.

Is the OST used in the last episode new? I don't remember any other instance where it was used and it's pretty cool.

The animation was pretty good as well.

But Narrator-san spoiling Katakuri's action for the next chapter is the stupidiest thing I've ever seen.

Introduces one of the most OP devil fruit out there; the Float-Float Fruit. To think one can use this seemingly silly power to such frightening extent. To be able to lift and control entire battleships and islands and that's not even its Awakening prowess, Shiki is an absolute monster. If only he was introduced into the canon story line, we could get some hard-core feat from him.

To celebrate I was thinking of making Shiki vs Whitebeard here sounds like an awesome matchup

What's your favorite fighting style in the series?

Mine is Sanji's. From the very beginning I found his style so elegant and good-looking and his fights are usually greatly animated which makes the martial arts so good.

Like when he buried Kuroobi in the ground with Collier, with the speed change to make it seem like slow motion when we see Kuroobi's face. Sadly, the East Blue Episode didn't portrayed this as good as the OG which is kinda ironic given the animation improvement.

But aside from that, one of my favourite attacks is Sanji's Concasse against Satori. The first time I watched that scene I couldn't believe Sanji'd have such a strong and badass kick.

Sanji is always so calm and he fights with style but he's still a badass.

I like how Sanji refusing to use his hands in combat makes Oda think more creatively in displaying his fighting style
