EXTREMELY URGENT: Gfycat is shutting down completely on September 1st. Please help out with replacing all of our wiki gif links to this site.

I keep encountering "Upstream Request Timeout" and "504 Gateway Timeout Error" when I attempt to upload, or sometimes simply access the upload page. Does anyone have any idea of why, or advice for me to try and rectify this? I was able to complete all of the "L's" on Page 1 of the list last Monday, however seem to have hit a roadblock since attempting to work on the "M's". Although able to make approximately 112 edits in one day initially, I find myself barely able to progress since, due in part to these errors.

Edit: I have now also encountered "Error 503 Backend fetch failed".

My guess, is that Fandom is seeing too much traffic.

I don't think there's a way to rectify that.

I've been busy with real life matters as of late and "busy" with some other things I've been working on in the wiki proper, but regardless, I'll go over this tomorrow and see what I can do.

Not necessary.

• The site will shut down later in the winter (September)
• @Antvasima announced this twice and made an official announcement in forum which hold for weeks.
• Adding a rule in editing page while the page will no longer be accessible is also redundant.
• The wiki manager will add a block filter that blocks its usage completely

I will be handling all the letters after P, and I will be handling H - K as well since no one is doing those. After that, I can move to the other letters to speed up the process.

I have finished Q-Z, so pages that start with the letter "P" should be at the very bottom of the DPL.

I have asked our wiki manager for help with creating a new abusefilter script that automatically disallows them after you have all finished with this task.

The concern is that after gfycat shuts down, people might grab up the URLs and turn them into virus-ridden sites, so the task needs to be accomplished even for seemingly irrelevant stuff.

Sandboxes are irrelevant and are not linked to any important page, but I think it is important to let the owners of those Sandboxes know that in a few months their links to Gfy will be deleted and they will never be able to recover them.

I just want to point out something I'm having an issue with.

The 'video to gif' option imgur used to have is now gone (at least for me).

I don't know if I'm the only one having this issue, but if this is something everyone's having an issue with, then we might have to find alternative websites that have the make a gif feature.

Just pointing this out just in case.

If you're trying to put them on imgur just right click the video on gfy, hit "copy link address" or whatever it says in english, then just past in imgur and it should work
