This is a vote of literally 500 people on a subreddit, not really a sample size for the entire communityWhy people are excited for this mu, despite not knowing either of them? I woudn't be suprised, if their episode get less than 400k views in one day (less than Harley vs Jinx and Scarlett Witch vs Zatanna)
And also, some people can just like characters and a matchup despite having never played something via the MU just being good lol

Please understand, that people who know who Cole and Alex are, are tiny minority of Death Battle watchers.
Look at this. This channel is making rap battles that very often beat DB in views and Cole vs Alex underperformed here. This channel is also bigger than Death Battle and rap battles are more popular than vs videos.

I no longer care about views since Ultra clarified that even 700k in a day is decent result. There has been like only 2 modern MUs that failed that, AlexCole will do fine. I'm expecting 1.5-2 mil within the first half of its release for AlexCole.
