Oh, Absolutely.

The Gameplay based around CC is really unique and fun, the graphics are easy on the eyes (these 2.5D-ish semi sprites are a bit of an acquired taste, but RH gets them extremely right), the Story is well screwed together, and actually avoids a lot of the pitfalls of time-travel plotlines looking at you Saga III... and don't even get me STARTED on how hard Yoko Shimamura went on the OST. OP pitched the game as similar to XC1 in a lot of ways, and he was not kidding.

I think some of the time-hopping hints were a bit vague (or otherwise predicated on you remembering minor characters whose names were dropped in the dozens), and there was the off mob fight that got kinda annoying, but that's about all the dirt in this game I could find.

But why though? I know they use non-canon stuff for other characters, but usually just to support a character that already wins their MU. Street Fighter meanwhile NEEDS that non canon stuff to not get dunked on apparently.

That meteor aint even from street fighter, its from a bad crossover of capcom 3 titles

Infamous and Prototype are two successful 3D action-adventure sandbox video games released back in 2009.

Glad you enjoyed the game, getting physical copies is a pain tho and it's kinda sad since it was originally a DS game before it got a remastered version for the 3DS (it looks like the digital version will forever be lost when the E-shop shuts down soon).

Emulation is indeed a necessary evil to preserve video games.

Speaking of characters from time hopping JRPGs that Shulk gets MUs with (Lightning), some of those time travel pitfalls happen quite often in the Final Fantasy 13 games (Also known as "Fabula Nova Crystallis") mostly notably 13-2.
 
I'll never forget the time I asked about yujiro hanma vs street fighter as a verse and got told that Dan hibiki stomps yujiro with universe level power because street fighter and darkstalkers had a crossover and they mentioned how it was canon because at some point Capcom said every crossover is canon. And Dan scales up to the seth that managed to get data from jedahs realm and Dan can fight seth. Therefore yujiro doesn't even get past anybody at all.
After telling the guy how stupid it was to include crossovers for the debate he banned me from the discord.

I always wonder what "brief argument" constitutes for the DB Team. I just wanna be there one day when they start arguing about a specific MU, seems like it'd be super entertaining.

Can't wait for it then, the "you'll never see this shit coming" MUs are almost always the most interesting ones for me lol

Anybody who read world War hulk and saw Wolverine taking attacks from the damn hulk should've known Wolverine would be a bit more durable than town level or whatever they had him at.
Still one of the best deaths in this show
