Yeah, hearing the LOTR OST in Sauron's analysis would be cool, but y'know, can't happen due to copyright. Though the royalty-free music choices aren't too shabby and at least fit the general tone for most characters.

Lord Raptor vs Waluigi (Darkstalkers vs Super Mario Bros)
Both are purple-clad fan-favorite comic relief characters from video games who have very big egos, which are their biggest flaws, and are also known for constantly mocking the people who they face against. Both of them at one point worked for powerful ruler antagonists (Emperor Ozom and Bowser) who hired them so that they could fight their games' protagonists (Darkstalkers and Mario bros). Atlhought they did work for them, they weren't really too happy about that and in some games they even fought ones who they served (Raptor confronted Ozom in his arcade ending of Night Warriors, while Waluigi fights Bowser in Mario Party 3). Both are very passionate when it comes to certain sports (Raptor plays basketball, while Waluigi plays tennis) and even utilize their knowledge of these games in combat. Despite them being very comedic characters, they shouldn't be underrestimated as they both are known as major threats throughout their series, who always put a lot of effort into their antagonistic schemes. At one point, they both wanted to collect certain items (Darkstalkers' souls and Music keys) in order to improve themselves (Raptor wanting to be the strongest Darkstalker and Waluigi wanting to be the best dancer) and also to take over certain lands/worlds (Raptor wanted to kill Ozom and take his place as an emperor, while Waluigi wanted to hypnotize people with his moves and flood the world with chaos). Both commonly work with their partners, who are short, chubby and very goofy people (Le Malta and Wario), contrasting with how Waluigi is the sidekick for Wario while Le Malta the sidekick for Raptor. Despite their evil plans and overall attitude, deep down they are good people and even showed their love towards other fan-favorite characters (Hsien-Ko and Daisy), though their crushes don't share their feelings due to their attitudes and egos. Both have ties to music (Raptor is a rockstar, while Waluigi collected music keys) and monsters (Raptor is a zombie, while Waluigi dressed up as a vampire in Mario Kart). Also, Waluigi seeks to become popular and beloved, while Raptor already is a popular and beloved figure.

Both Naruto and Luke Skywalker are

  • Children of prophecy/destiny
  • both of them were hidden from Masked Villains who they were prophesied to fight one day
  • Both had masters who sacrificed themselves for the hero and were killed by their former students who were also thought to be chosen ones before they turned evil Jiraiya/Obi Wan and Anakin/Nagato
  • Both went to a secluded area to be trained as a sage by frog like creature Yoda/Fukasaku /Dagobah mount Myuboko
  • Both overcame their enemies not by killing them but by changing their minds through love/compassion Luke and Vader, Naruto and Nagato/Obito
  • Both characters themes are depending on overcoming hatred from within yourself and others. Luke in the dagobah cave/ naruto at the waterfall of truth
  • Both had protege's who ended up turning evil Kawaki/Kylo/ Jacen
  • Both gave a final stand for the next generation resulting in either the loss of their life or powers

Theres some others im missing that i cant think off the top of my head.

Hal Jordan vs Anakin Skywalker/Parallax vs Darth Vader is pretty thematic ngl. Both have a surprising amount of connections.

  • Both were once normal humans living on their planet, until highly respected beings from a higher order (Abin Sur from the Green Lantern Corp and Qui Gon Jinn of the Jedi) lands on their planet and recruits them to the cause.
  • Both the Green Lantern Corp and the Jedi are beings who keep the peace throughout the cosmos.
  • Both highly respected beings died shortly after (Abin Sur died in his spaceship and Qui Gon Jinn dies at the hands of Darth Maul).
  • Both are well known for their excellent piloting skills, being some of the best pilots in their universe.
  • Both are known to be hot headed and often eager to prove themselves.
  • Both often clashed with authority and tended to act on their own merits.
  • Both would eventually rise to fame as well respected heroes throughout the galaxy (Hal Jordan became regarded as the greatest of the Green Lanterns and Anakin was regarded as the chosen one, with extremely high potential and he would eventually become a Jedi Master)
  • Both had some kind of close mentor, that they would see as a brother in arms (Hal with Kilowog and Anakin with Obi Wan)
  • They would eventually face off against said friend when the turned evil (Hal kills Kilowog while Anakin clashes with Obi Wan on Mustafar)
  • Both would kill a former member of the group they once came from, and said member was once a highly respected member (Hal kills Sinestro while Anakin kills Count Dooku)
  • Both would turn to the dark side eventually due to giving into fear and experiencing tragedy (Hal had plenty of build up towards him being Parallax, him slowly losing his friends over the years, like Barry Allen, him slowly doubting himself, and finally, failing to stop the destruction of Coast City, and he is only able to mourn on his own with no one to comfort him. Anakin fears that he will lose Padme, and that fear is manipulated to get him to join the Dark Side)
  • Both became the villain for "selfless" reasons. He genuinely believed that he was doing good, and still thinks he is the hero. Hal tried to remake the entire universe, to give everyone their own ideal haven and bring peace to the universe. Anakin on the other hand became Vader in order to save Padme.
  • Both saw their respective groups (The Green Lanterns and The Jedi) as corrupt and decided to tear it down, and slaughter their own kin to achieve their goal.
  • Both were manipulated by ancient evils into doing all these bad things (Hal was slowly getting manipulated by Parallax while Anakin's fears were manipulated by Sidious)
  • Both would then become some of the greatest villains in their worlds, killing many lives and constantly fought former allies.
  • Both would face off against their successor, who has some sort of connection to them and were a chosen one of sorts (Kyle Rayner had Hal's ring and was destined too surpass Hal in the future while Luke is Vader's son)
  • Ironically enough, both successors also had fairly similar origins to their predecessors
  • Hal and Anakin would later on redeem themselves and briefly return to the light, in order to save the day (Parallax sacrificed himself to stop the sun eater and reignite the sun while Vader sacrificed himself to stop Sidious and save Luke)

Watched this myself.

Looks like Sauron is immediately winning if true form is considered because his flops happen mostly during his confined form, where he has to remote control someone with one ring with low lava-grade melting point and that he has already been locked in hell.

Hot headed, but with a heart of gold heroes who once patrolled the cosmos, but fell from grace due to tragedy and became the worst villains ever known, only to eventually redeem themselves through a great sacrifice.
 
Btw did most of you knew death battle considers Ryu vs Scorpion a halloween fight? And those who defend it as such say it is cuz "scorpion is undead and was released around halloween", i just remembered this
