this i ain't dancing yet looks good so far but the action better deliver
Part of me thinks they'll shy away from having too much CQC going on and instead focus on banter and collateral damage. There's only so much you can do with flying bricks in terms of choreography, and what we've seen of the banter and collateral damage so far is excellent. Though admittedly I'm mainly hoping for this because I think their hand drawn CQC almost never looks good.

This is... a much better start than I expected. This is one of the best fight backgrounds/stories for a fight in years, feels like the care that'd go into a Torrian fight setup. I love the atmosphere they nailed in the opening with the dark synth cords and shit. Surprised at the borderline John Wick murder music the fight's likely gonna use too.

It doesn't look too bad either, pretty solid in terms of animation/aesthetic. Though that punch at the very end looked kinda stiff, so I hope the CQC doesn't look TOO bad. They'll probably lean heavily on the banter/collateral damage I'd imagine.

Breaks into Omni-Man's ******* house
Steals a hat and some coffee
Murders his wife and proudly shows him her corpse like it doesn't matter
Laughs right in front of him after being threatened

Honestly? Im just disappointed DB overhypes eps too much. Last year eps were not all finale worthy, even with their technical quality. And I see no hope for niche series this season, its prolly just Tetsuo at this rate.
Bro you think they’re gonna say their episodes are mid? Even if they’re bad, any businessman worth their weight in feces wouldn’t say their product is bad.

You know, interesting thought I had. With homelander killing debbie, Omniman just got a whole new argument to use with Mark to try and convince him they need to subjugate the humans. Tell him that humans murdered his mom just for profit. Honestly, might work.
If they heard of Homelander in this shared world, they might know he is a piece of shit person and being overall

And he about to die horribly

Mid mainly means average tbf
And also true
Maybe behind the scenes but not outright

Yeah it definitely will rely on Banter/Collateral Damage

'I think the fight will have Homelander on the backfoot the entire time as he tries different ways to stop Omniman. Specifically, he tries to fight him under the assumption Omniman is a hero. So he may try to toss planes at him, or put people in harm's way or use the public as a weapon, because the opinion people have of him is Homelander's biggest fear, and so he'd think the same for Omniman.

Only for Homelander to realize Omniman not only does not give a shit, but completely deconstructs Homelander's beliefs by showcasing that to the power of the Viltrum empire, things like 'image' and 'profits' mean nothing. They evolved far beyond that. And to him, Homelander is just as worthless as the rest of these unevolved animals. Debbi was the one light in his life that was changing his perception, and now Homelander is going to see, first hand, how misplaced his confidence is."

Considering how old Nolan is and how childish Homelander is, I bet Omni-Man is going to humiliate Homelander like the entitled sociopath he is while also making Homelander realized how insignificant his own earthly desires/ambitions are compared to Nolan's PoV.

I kinda hate how well made the intro is. Poor Debbie tho, she got double roasted extra crispy by a tool.
