Death Battle Season Nine Discussion Thread (1) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Tbh quite a few YGO profiles are outdated (Dark Magician doesn't even have one iirc) plus much of the relevant hax is mostly from the GX era and onwards, that said depending on how DB interprets the summoning mechanics as well as how monsters/spells/traps work when verse's are equalized, Ash may get obliterated!

I mean this alone is too much for Ash (normally) however similar to Sanji Vs Lee simply having one-shot worthy AP isn't enough to win and YGO doesn't have too many impressive speed feats tbh (especially in the DM era) meanwhile Ash has plenty of speed feats and scaling to draw upon (including FTL ones).

Hmmm... the more I think about it, the more debatable the Ash Vs Yugi MU may actually be.

Tbh I just want to see how DB interprets YGO in a Vs format.

And this is all under the assumptions of using our profiles as reference which when it comes to DB isn't the most reliable way to scale lol!

TBH the easiest way for Death Battle to Make Yugioh matchups is to pit this TCG game / anime character against another TCG game / anime character like Yugi Muto vs Aichi Sendou (or by some stretch Ash Ketchum but
Ash Ketchum already has Lucy Heartfilia)

Is there any limits in adding hard drive spaces for Windows 8 and for... Other versions of Windows? Needs to buy some while drives are cheap. May need a better computer power supply unit and even battery.

To be fair, Kratos is the GoW character with the most going for him. Long history of feats, absurd amounts of abilities and a well defined character arc and multiple games. Most GoW characters either jobb and die quickly or are an adaption of a pre-existing God.

True.

Meanwhile Kratos vs Dante is surprisingly debatable (it is on whether universe level Kratos or universe level Dante is accepted and then some of their own hax walls) so be ready we have them in the future. Better served in 3D.





We may need Moon Knight (Marvel Comics) vs Azrael (Jean-Paul Valley) or the 5th time of Batman (Post-Crisis) also. Serves good in live action or 3D.

We already had a "break" from comics. Never bet against comics from happening.

I also fear the niche matches mention only fits Akira, because I'm not feeling that excitement. Also still wondering if this is 16 or 20 ep season.

It can be hard for staff to plan on a 20 ep season given the premiere only premiered Mar 29, 2022... the staff needs vacations and Rooster Teeth is not well-funded to hire more animators to fill the gap...

In fact I look forward towards a game character vs game character episode.
Just... we need to think about the budget issue so likely something workable on sprite.

If the latest XC3 didn't literally just reveal Ouroboros as a concept, I would have gone with Dmitri Yuriev (gee, he seems to be getting a lot of MUs lately...). Yuriev is revealed in Saga III to be the OG Salvator (designer child), which means he's not genetically a pureblooded human. The totality of his character is his possesion of Gaignun Kukai Senior (A.K.A Nigredo, not to mistaken with Jr./Rubedo), and the fight with him in III has him fuse with not just U-DO, but also the E.S's that Abel was piloting (Abel being revealed to be another alias for U-DO by this point in the story). I'm not 100% if I'd call Yuriev's end goal 'perfection', but he is insane enough to the point where his end goal past ascending to U-DO could have been literally anything (the plot even going so far as to claim he'd go after Zarathustra despite not actually needing it by all objective metrics). Keep in mind that U-DO/Abel is seen as 'god' in the plot of Xenosaga (even starring a cameo by Christ himself toward the back end of III... but you all already knew that). Also 'created by the greatest army on earth'? Yuriev says 'hold my beer' by literally having the Fifth Jerusalem military under his thumb from beyond the grave near the start of III, and being named Executive Director in spite of that (not that said plot point isn't dumb enough as is, but hey that's Saga III for you)

We had two Comic book MU for the first two episodes we don't need to touch Comics until after the next episode

Who knows we don't know what exactly qualifies as niche to them

yeah that's why i think the next episode is the cartoon fight or at least an unteased non-capeshit fight

I expect after Tanjojo
Cartoon fight/Unteased>Boba Fett (3D)>Mags/Tetsuo>Unteased Fight>then Vegeta vs Thor (3D)

this way we get at least 3 episode gap between another capeshit episode, since we will have 2 towards the end. of course, if this is another 16 episode long season that is. I wish they have had confirmed the season length by now
