Honestly can see either side taking this, but at this point rooting for Lex just because of how many people are trying to act like he doesn’t stand a chance, let alone acting like he isn’t a hereld when he’s fought the lantern corps and broke brainiacs neck.

all right lets be real
Strength wise you could give it to Luthor
and arguably durability
that's it
i don't see either blitzing the shit outta of each other in this fight
Doom just has Hax up the ass and most Lex doesn't have an answer to
nothing stops doom from BFRing Lex to the past and calling it a day

Hey, it's better than Doom vs Lex.

So, I just finished OMORI, and the titular character would be interesting to see.

Omori vs The Batter. Without spoiling either of them...
  • Monochromatic RPGmaker protagonists
  • Both use more mundane items as their weapons of choice
The rest of the connections have some spoilers though, and OMORI is a game you really don't want to be spoiled for. OFF less so since that game's been out for years and most people who have wanted to play it already have, and also only really has one major twist.

  • Both were created by children (Specifically Sunny and Hugo respectively)
  • Both are also capable of killing their creators, Omori able to kill Sunny's personality and The Batter being able to kill Hugo outright.
  • Despite being the main playable characters, they're the game's primary villains
  • Both also can be the final boss despite the player starting off playing as them
  • Both utilize additional objects to attack with, Omori with Red Hands and The Batter with Add-Ons.
The music could also be great, starting off with a happy-go-lucky battle theme in vein of Pepper Steak and... well... any of OMORI's excellent battle themes. Then, as each character's true colors shine through, it could go to something akin to Avatar Beat and OMORI - ALTER (The latter of which is my favorite final boss theme of all time in context).

As for who wins, OMORI is shiny and new, and has yet to be feat scaled. Some people are saying 4-A due to the whole dream world thing, and if we had as much lenience on it as we do with Yume Nikki it could even go up to tier 2. However, both of those are iffy and I haven't been able to find/calc good feats below that. However, Omori himself has a good amount of hax and would be really hard to The Batter to kill with anything short of purification, which he might not be able to do anyways thanks to Omori and Sunny. Since Omori can only really die if Sunny accepts his guilt, and The Batter can't really cause that to happen, it's only a matter of time before Omori erases him or banishes him to Black Space.

I actually have a beta profile for Omori for those who are interested.
Do you know some more knowledgeable members? Can you make a separate blog on its cosmology? The "creates everything in the universe" sounds 3-A to High 3-A to me.

That aside... OMORI and OFF look too obscure to get into Death Battle.
My question on Doctor Doom (Marvel Comics) vs Lex Luthor (Post-Crisis) is:

Why is it NOT Scarlet Witch (Marvel Comics) vs Zatanna (Post-Crisis) or Vision (Marvel Comics) vs Red Tornado (Post-Crisis)

I know @The_Eldritch_Snowcone is interested in profiles for the verse and clearly you're interested in the verse, but other than you two I'm the only OMORI fan I know of.

I also find it unlikely that Headspace is actually universe sized given it's the product of a teen's mind. I'll make a thread for the verse's development and pm you the link.

Haven’t played OMORI gonna, but are any of its feats even legit? Since it’s all in a dream world?

It's not. His armor is, the rest is OE. Imagine if it really was, many of the last comics I saw him in would make no sense at all.

Your first thing to say on the matter couldn't be more wrong, and I already watched that video and made a comment on it;

"You got a lot of things wrong for Doom. You gave him a lot of things that aren't standard equipment or needed him to do rituals, work around and have momentary amps. Having spells that call on the power of X characters don't give one as much power as those characters, only some empowered fraction, all Faltine aren't as powerful and modern Dormammu is a joke to his classic version when he was that powerful. And the biggest thing, scaling Doom to Thor or SS isn't nearly as consistent as scaling Lex to the top-tiers of the JL (assuming Supes' full power is above it), Lex has its feats and that's that, Doom is a FF enemy, he fights evenly with them, loses to them and can overpower them at times, against more powerful foes he needs prep, robots, sucks their power, etc. Not only was Doom indirectly hit by that blast that knocked out Galactus, but he was also nearly killed by Kang making a mini nuke on him some few issues around where that happened in Secret Wars, and more notably later in those comics a casual attack from Galactus only aimed to get Doom out of his ship nearly killed him, left him exhausted and dramatically demoralized him to do anything. Doom punching Mephisto was just an illusion Mephisto made to hype him up and torment him better, unless you want to say that Doom can do that at base or that Mephisto gave him the very armor he used to do that.

I f*cking love Doom but he lacks the speed Lex scales to and that's that, he loses. Unless Lex having his armor means they both have prep/can bring non-standard things to the battle, in which case Doom takes it."
Doom has an army of Doombots powered by the Power Cosmic. Of course he's herald tier

There is a metric ton of things that are either wrong or outright lies in that comment, holy shit

I would definitely hate it.

Vergil has better opponents he could fight like Jin Kisaragi and Knives Millions, and he'd probably fight one of them if he returned (which I do see him doing at some point since he got a huge buff in DMC5). Plus, Sephiroth vs Vergil is one of my favorite Death Battles. I don't think they could live up to the first one.

It's got the second-best swordfighting of any death battle, my favorite OST of the series, and final fantasy finally getting a deserved win. Not a lot more I can ask for, really.

Although I am extremely biased towards this fight in general, It was my most-wanted DB back when it came out and I got to watch it the day I finished my last day of High School, so I associate it with fond memories.
