Asriel starts out in Angel of Death form. After conquering Frisk, Adriel moves on to the Saint Seiya verse. This just happens to be his first battle. Who wins and why?

Dunno, but probably Asriel. His GoH form is already at Multiverse+ level, and his AoD form is likely much stronger. My vote goes to Asriel.

I feel like given the characters, the hax difference wouldn't matter that much, and also Asriel can reach omnipresent in GoH. however, in terms of intelligence Chronos definitely has asriel beat

He's only a potential omnipresent without clear evidence unlike Chronos who is a full fledged omnipresent no doubt whatsoever. And at this stage, every little thing matters.

Because almost all of the hax and attacks that Asriel Dreemurr has Cronus can match and defend against. Cronus has his own hax abilities and firepower to match and win the struggle.

Asriel Dreemurr's Angel of Death, Hyper Goner, Galacta Blazing, Star Blazing, Shocker Breaker, and Shocker Breaker 2 can be matched or countered by Cronus's Pragma Spathe, Dunamis Pteryx, Dunamis Megas Drepanon, Yami No Meido, Psammos Adamas/Complete Form, and Golden Dagger

On top of all of that Cronus has high levels of Regenerationn and healing and he gets stronger as the fight goes on through adapting/comprehending/canceling out moves or techniques of the enemy after witnessing it or experiencing it once- so basically the smae move will not work on Cronus more than once or even just after seeing it once.
