Biggest PIS Moment in Fiction

@Bre8k

Deathstroke is even worse.

Deathstroke beating the entire main Justice League sans Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman to the point of being able to stick a sword through Flash, make Green Lantern's ring stop working with sheer willpower, stopped Black Canary's Canary Cry with a freaking burlap sack (and she wasn't able to put up a fight whatsoever despite being one of the finest martial artists in the DC Universe and one of Batman's regular sparring partners), and Atom's powers suddenly stopped working the way they were intended (mainly that he retains his mass and strength when he shrunk).

Now he's set to curbstomp the Titans and the Teen Titans (including both Wally Wests, Starfire, Raven, and Donna Troy) and is scheduled to gain Speed Force powers if the upcoming comic previews are any indication.

Isn't comic writing wonderful?

@Reppuzan

Holy shit,that's bullshit.

Btw,in the new injustice game,Harley Queen beat's Swamp Thing,Green Arrow/Black Canary defeat's Doctor Fate,Batman defeat's Superman AND Wonder Woman and both Cheeta and Bane fight Green Lantern.

Beautiful,just beautiful.

@Bre8k

It's been awhile sine I played it, but I think Injustice explains why low level characters can hold their own against the heavy hitters. It's because of Nanomachines or something.

@Dragon

In Injustice, Lex and Superman developed a Super Pill that gives the one who consumed it strength and durability on par with Kryptonians like Superman. Batman's Insurgency captured a sample at the cost of Green Arrow's and Captain Atom's lives as well as Batman's own broken back thus legitimizing how characters can stand up to Supes without dying immediately.

For the record, Alfred took it and was able to completely and utterly kick Superman's ass (albeit when the latter didn't see him coming).

When Wolverine cut off King Thor's arm while the latter was juiced up with the Odinforce.

The first is more like a "Hand Wave" than anything else.

The second does indeed count, I mean even if you have the Super Pill you can't exactly curbstomp Injustice's Superman (Just ask Lex Luthor who died).

PIS that are created with comic intentions.

-Goku without training has more strength than Roshi.

-Lord Hater loses in a High Striker game.

PIS that are created with serious intentions.

-
Spiderman easily beats to Bucky and Falcon, but receives a beating of the Shocker and the Vulture.

-'''''
A winter soldier and Spiderman can overpower Bucky's metal arm, but with the same arm Bucky can hurt Iron Man.

-Gohan goes from 4-B to 3-A training a few days in the woods with Piccolo.

-Naruto (Sage Mode) and the 5 seconds of Pain. (Even when he moved much faster to save Tsunade)

-Yamcha winning to Olibu (Which is more powerful than Semi-perfect Cell)

But Azathoth is also a writing!

Stop believe in that BS and come join Church of Flying spaghetti monster pls.

There's a game where the Flying Spaghetti Monster has a 2-C feat, for what it's worth.

I don't think Knuckles punching the chaos emeralds was necessarily PIS because he was being powered by the Master Emerald which specifically negates the power of the Chaos Emeralds.

maybe, but we don't really know if he did use the master emerald, but even though sonic was really bad at using the super state back in the day (could easily loose it to small things), he's suppose to be invulnerable like stated by sega.

Thanks to Mania, it's because of the Phantom Ruby, which was underground in the same place and briefly negated Super Sonic, which allowed Knuckles to punch him. Super Sonic is not invulnerable as he can get damaged in that state and we also discussed to change the Invulnerabilty settings for the characters.

Every relevant character in Disgaea 5 (a verse where even fodder is star level) being amazed that Killia survived an attack that could desinigrate a mountain as well as Killia needing to release his overload in order to block it. Or the characters in Disgaea 4 being unable to stop the moon without outside help That's also A huge pis moment that comes to mind

Reminds me of universe busters in Dragon Ball being very impressed with the notion of beings that are able to create stars.

I don't think the writers intended for nearly all the fighters in DBS to be universe busters.

I can guarantee you only a small handful of characters were intended to be Tier 3 or above.

Though this happens in a lot of franchises, as for most writers, powerscaling usually isn't on their mind unless it's something very obvious and internally consistent.
