True, but the clones are still gonna have to get to him, and Archer isn't gonna be standing still.
However, Kessler can still tk Archer into one of the clones, or at least use his clones as distractions long enough to try and close the gap and get close enough to memory inject or use electric touch (or just hit him with an electric beam). Its pretty in character for him to summon clones, and then keep the pressure on his opponent by zipping around while attacking from range, which distracts them from the incoming clones. Or use the clones as a distraction for Kessler to keep attacking from afar while the clones distract them from up close
But I don't know, Caladbolg is a pretty hard thing to get past.
